Parking Notes: Please park to the left of the door and don't block the main drive. There is additional parking around the area (between Lodge buildings 1-5 and the stone line near the gazebo with the hot tub, in front of the shop, alongside the office, along the backside of Elk Cabin toward the dumpster, behind the shed north of Moose Lodge, and east of Fox Cabin). There’s also a large, vacant restaurant parking lot; use it only south of the office and Lodge buildings 1-5.
WINTER HAZARDS: Snow and ice can accumulate throughout the property. Along the north side of Lodge buildings 1-5 is one of these areas. Ice and snow build up all winter long until late March or early April. The roofs of the Lodge buildings are metal; snow and ice tend to give way in large sheets all at once, so please be aware of the edge of the roof and where your vehicle is parked.

Room was super easy- key lock on door made entry a snap. Was cold upon entry (granted outside temp was 10 degrees) but heated up super fast. Was perfect for a quick overnight before heading to Wolf Creek. Only issue was the coffeemaker leaked like crazy. Needs a new one. Thanks!!
Hi, Matt! Thank you for letting us know about the coffee maker. We apologize we didn't catch it before your arrival. It has been replaced. We hope to see you again!

Nice and cozy place to stay!

Love this little town! It’s the perfect getaway! The cabin was so nice and cozy, and more spacious than I expected. The hot tub was out of order which was sad but I’m pretty sure that it would have been shut down for COVID any way. Rickle Park is close and was a great place to take the kids to play there is even a nice sided hill that they could sled down. The dollar store and a pizza chip is with in walking distance with was very nice too!

Big enough to not be crammed. Kitchen helped save us $. Wonderful staff!

Decent place for the price. They could fix the rotting tile in the shower, and the tub drain that won’t stay open. The fans were old and clacked when turned on

This place is perfect for the budget minded who need a nice warm place to get a good night’s rest after a long day on the hill. No complaints.

Nothing fancy but nice cabin for the money. I would stay there again.

Lodge 1 provided everything we needed for a multi-day ski trip to Wolf Creek. Comfortable beds, room for gear, kitchen, and plenty of hot water after a long day.

A group of us reserved up to four lodges at one point during the week of 31 Aug to 7 September. We rode dual sports and sides by sides (Polaris RZRs and a Ranger). The lodging was awesome. The only down side was VACASA emailed us the wrong access codes but the local VACASA personnel (Ashley) were very helpful getting us in the lodge and settled, and came by to see if we needed supplies during our week-long stay. The rooms were comfortable, and allowed us to cook our evening "feasts." Riding and fishing inthe area were both great. Can't wait to come back.

Cabin was cozy and clean. I did have code and key issues when first arriving and for most arrivels I witnessed. Helpful representative "Casey" helped me with codes and entry to cabin. Pool did not work but would stay again pool or no pool.
Hi Denise, The jet pool is managed by the HOA. Unfortunately, we have no control over that. We hope we can host you again soon!

Great place. We’ll managed!

Clean room and nice beds, usually most hotel beds are just too hard.

We’ve been coming to South Fork for years and have stayed at a number of different places. The Foothills Lodge was just right for our kind of vacationing. It had all the comforts of home, was quiet and comfortable, and we’ll within our budget. Other family members were staying nearby and were jealous that we had cable and WiFi. We will stay here again in the future.

Nice little two bedroom with kitchen. Stove and fridge appear to be brand new. "Sleeps 10" would be a little cramped, but for the three adults it was great.

2 bedrooms, 4 beds. kitchen. Plenty of hot water.

Great location, beds were comfortable and clean.
A little drafty, nothing a towel under the door couldn't fix

We loved the time spent with our family.

We rented the 2 bedroom cabin for a week of snowboarding and it was incredible. Check-in was super simple. Full kitchen was clutch for easy meals since there aren't many restaurants in the area. Had a great week of snowboarding with a ton of snow and you can't beat paying $50-60 a night for a cabin only 30 min from the slopes!

We had such a great visit! We got to see Balck-billed Magpies, mule deer, and big horned sheep! The facilities were efficient and economic, providing plenty of room to have kids.

An amazing place to stay. Secery was beautiful!

We rented this cabin for a rustic romantic weekend getaway to see the aspens change color. It turned out perfect.
If you're into really fancy 5 star locations this might not be what you're looking for. It is rustic and earthy as a cabin should be. It has very comfortable beds, clean linens, a full kitchen and bath. Lots of great outdoors activities and site seeing opportunities to choose from.
Tip: after setting your reservations with VRBO.COM watch your email for communications from Vacasa.com as your checkin codes and other stuff you need will arrive from that domain name instead of vrbo.com. Be sure a print a copy of their emails so you have then in your hand when you arrive. There is no onsite manager so you do a self checking kind of thing in which the content of the vacasa.com emails are essential.

We enjoyed the people in the town, the people we met staying there. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Loved the stay and the room. Just what we wanted.

This is the perfect place for a base camp while exploring the many beautiful sites! Everything is included for your stay, except food stuffs of course! Clean!!

if you wanted pressure, then the water was either scorching hot or ice cold. Kind of hot water had no pressure at all so showers were a little tough for a girl with thick long hair.
We were surprised to show up and find no a/c, but it wasn't bad in the mornings or evenings.

Everything about the cabin was wonderful. This was a great location for our fishing trip, which covered much of the area from the upper Rio Grande to the Conejos. The only thing that would have been nice to have was some AC, but I understand why you don't have it. We just happened to be there on a really hot week, but usually by 10:30 p.m. or so things had cooled off enough to sleep.

Very nice and very clean.

Absolutely LOVED the cabin!! It had everything we needed and more! It was spacious and clean but most of all our fur babies were allowed!! Thank you SO SO much for a wonderful stay! We would definitely stay again and will tell our friends about the cabins! Our only regret is that we didn't discover this place until our 2nd night in town......
Brandon L.Feb 2018
We have stayed here several times, cheap, great location, heat and hot water. Great for a ski trip.
Emily M.Feb 2018
It's almost impossible to find a vacation rental that is pet-friendly that isn't ridiculously expensive! Our 6 month old blue heeler pup travels almost everywhere with us, and we were pleasantly surprised to find affordable lodging accommodations that allowed dogs (with a deposit, of course). We travel a lot, and often book on ABnB. We had never heard of Vacasa until a friend told us about it, and we are so glad they did! The accommodations, location, and price were much better than anything we could find on the other site(s). We will be checking Vacasa for all future travel plans.

The lodge provided a great value for a memorable family vacation!
