We've lived less than a couple of hours from Trout Lake and Mt. Adams for 45 years, but have never visited, so we decided we needed to fill in that void. It was a tremendously satisfying experience just exploring the history and the countryside. The wildflowers were spectacular. I especially enjoyed a drive from Trout Lake to Goldendale for the flowers but also for the changes in the forest cover from mixed, to ponderosa to white oak. Really amazing scenery. (As is the drive from Glendale to BZ Corner). There is plenty of hiking in the area as well and we may be back later this summer for the huckleberries! The house we rented was just as described on Vacasa and was squeaky clean. It's in very good condition and the bed must have been good because we both slept especially well. Very good kitchen appliances. I would note that the TV is a modern Vizio smart TV but it is streaming only, which we are not really very good at. (No cable, antenna or satellite). Actually, I suck at any but the most basic techy stuff. We don't rent vacation homes for TV, but we did want to watch our favorite NBA team in a playoff game. Had to watch it on our computer. Got the impression we needed either the Vizio streaming app or the Google streaming app on our smart phone but that's way beyond us, even if easy for the typical 14 year-old! All-in-all, we won't hesitate to return and rent this place again.
