I was a little nervous at first but it exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect size for our family of four. It was clean, updated and well maintained. We mostly had the pool to ourselves. It was fun sitting on the back deck and listening to the howler monkeys. It is conveniently located and secured at night by a gate with security guards. Comfortable beds. Beautifully landscaped. There are 2 a/c’s. One in each bedroom. No dishwasher and no daily cleanings but dish soap with a drying rack is provided. Washing machine with detergent inside with a drying line outside. Not a lot of storage space for clothes. Could use more dinner ware. A little tricky to find. Especially at night. Just stay left at the fork while on Valle Pura Vida and turn right down into the property when you get to the end of the paved road.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Kathleen. We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we'll pass your comments to the owner for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

This property was gorgeous and fit our family of four perfectly. The beds were comfortable, the pool was great (loved the cabanas), and the jungle setting was fun with macaws, sloths and howler monkeys. There were a few issues with the property that were not a big deal, but I wanted to bring them to attention. Some of these can easily be addressed by Vacasa, but some are outside of their control. The kitchen is pretty small and sparse in terms of appliances, tableware and storage containers. The lighting in the bathroom is also very dim. We could have also used some proper pool towels. The other rentals did have good pool towels. Also, a 'welcome sheet' providing information about the unit might be helpful (how to operate the combined washer/dryer for instance). We also had problems with the water shutting off (due to the work at the condos next door) and the WiFi going in and out. But those issues were resolved quickly.
The other issue was a very loud group staying next door to us. A couple of occasions, they were very loud late into the night and left trash/towels all over the pool area. This is outside of Vacasa's control, but just thought I'd bring it up.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

It was our first time Costa Rica and Dennis and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Dennis was able to bring the conviences of a hotel and combine them with the perks of an Airbnb.

We loved our stay at the Villas. Beautiful location, lots of wild life including a surprisingly active sloth that hung out in the tree in the front of the complex and monkeys that would show up in the mornings in the trees in the back. There was even a wild hiking trail through the forest right near the complex. It was perfect for our family stay at Manuel Antonio and within short driving distance to all the beaches, restaurants and the park.
