Our family needed a weekend out of the coastal fog. We hung out by the pool most of the time, grilled and enjoyed the river. The house was a perfect place for a family retreat.

The house was clean and a great set up for a group or family. The only complaint I would have is that there was a loud generator next door that ran most of the time we were there. Sitting outside, it took away from the peaceful river setting and the overall ambiance. Thankfully, the house was pretty soundproof and we weren't as affected by the noise once we retired to bed. The game room is a great addition and a nice way to keep people interacting and I LOVED that we didn't have cell service (only wifi and landline)

We rented this location due to our daughter graduating at Humboldt State University. It was a little bit of a drive from the campus, but it was so peaceful and relaxing we didn’t mind. It was a great house, very inviting and clean.

Had a wonderful stay. The scenery was beautiful. Saw deer everyday strolling by the house and the view of the river below from the deck was stunning.

great home with incredible view. clean and quiet. The pool area and deck were wonderful. The path to the river is very steep and dangerous

We had amazing time at this cabin. It is very secluded. Plan to do a lot of driving on twisty roads of you plan to site see. However nothing was more relaxing than coming back to the cabin after a long day of driving and just sitting on the deck listening to the river or watching the Osprey nest right across the river from the deck.

Elena was amazing at adressing our concern when we did have one with the property and she went above and beyond answering all of our questions regarding near by areas to see and things to do. She even took time out of her day to find out answers to questions she didn't know, such as local fishing as we found out there is no fishing on that section of the river this time of year.

The only recommendation we have is to take the statement "just walk down your private trail to the river" out of the description. This is far from just a walk, this is very much a climb that even the most fit in our group struggled with. The steps that were made are scary with rebar sticking up on each step so don't slip down the hill, you may impale yourself. And some steps were so large that even Bigfoot would have had his thigh to his chest to climb.

Overall, it was an amazing experience!

We stayed at the River Front Cabin for a total of 3 nights, but I could easily enjoy a week at this location. I was delighted to find the cabin was actually nicer than the photos. It was close proximity to Six Rivers and Shasta Trinity National Forest and we had a wonderful hike up to the snow on Canyon Creek. My friends and family enjoyed venturing down to the beach and though I didn't catch anything, it was a perfect location to disconnect and relax. Elena, the property manager was careful to provide accurate directions (since there is no cell service) and we entered the property clean and well-maintained.
