We enjoyed our stay and will be staying here again!!!
We loved this home, we are thankful for the walk to the lake, the pool and more. Thank you for the high chair that we left at home because we didn't want to pack it. The bed on the other hand was so hard and we were in pain , but again it is definetly an older couples home. If your looking for comfort id pick another vut it did work well for our family.
We've stayed at Chinquapin several times, but we especially liked this condo. The views all around are excellent. The unit was very clean and well furnished for our stay. We are already planning on returning next year to this unit.
The view from this unit is beautiful even though it's not lake front. It was also nice to have the upstairs view without anyone beneath us since that's where the parking for this unit is.
Great location with lake view and access to private pier and lake access. Great location near Tahoe City and Carnelian Bay. Only thing is that we paid for cleaning and the unit had cob webs, refrigerator needed cleaning and bbq had used cooking utensils in the bbq. It was not horrible messy but with the additional cleaning fees we expect a clean unit. We will definitely rent this unit again.
We had a very comfortable stay at this condo. The house is very well furnished and has great views all around. The kitchen was well-stocked will everything. Kids could just play in the snow on the second-level deck. The covered carport came in handy in the snow. We will definitely come back again in the summer to enjoy this house.
We enjoyed the place so much.
The house was in a great location for all the good restaurants around the west and north shores, and is a quick drive to Sand Harbor. The house was clean, spacious, and it was nice to have a fireplace. The (steep) walk down to the small private beach was quaint and peaceful and there was a nice bench to sit and listen to the waves. There is an ironing board and iron and hair dryer (I couldn't find these listed). The sauna was locked and closed the whole time we were there (Oct). We enjoyed our stay and would come back!
It was a great location, perfect condo for a family with kids...although there were some cobwebs here and there and outside patio furniture was very dirty. We were happy with the condo yet they could improve on their cleaning.
I would not recommend this unit if it's going to be warm. Any other time would be ok. The nightly rate is deceiving Sind the added feels really drive up the real cost.
The Chinquapin development is very nice. Conveniently situated between Tahoe City and King's Beach, the property has nice amenities (heated pool, playground, great walking path along the lake). For the price, the larger development is great. But the condo itself needs some attention before I would recommend it to someone.
The HVAC system is old and obviously has not been serviced. When the heat turns on, it is LOUD (it shares a wall with the master closet), and the grate in the hallway rattles horribly. It woke all of us up every night, so we never got a good night's sleep. The water heater also provides inconsistent heat during a shower--you don't run out of hot water, but you'll be fiddling with the knob trying to keep the water hot and/or avoiding a scald after you turn it up seeking some more warm water.
Finally, although the kitchen, bed linens, and bathrooms were clean, the rest of the property was in desperate need of a deep clean. There were thick cobwebs on the window tracks and the safety bars that we had to clean off before we could open the windows. When our son lost a toy behind the chest in the eating area, we found a dirty spatula, also covered in cobwebs behind there. Finally, when packing up at the end of our stay, I found a previous guest's dirty socks behind the dresser in the master bedroom, again, covered in cobwebs. Yuck.
Great location, and Chinquapin itself is great. But for this price you are sacrificing a good night's sleep and some cleanliness.
The return vent has been fixed so it is no longer making any noise, and the house is scheduled for a deep clean. Thank you!
The unit was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. It is nicely furnished. The location is perfect for seeing all the sights of the Reno/Lake Tahoe area.
The house worked out nicely for our family of 4, in a great secluded location with good amenities and a very nice view of Lake Tahoe.
This was a cozy condo, nicely furnished clean and well kept. The high ceilings give it an open airy feel. The property is beautiful with lovely views all around and very peaceful.
The mattresses are pretty hard, that was the only downside, made it more challenging to sleep. A foam topper might help. Overall great condo for the value and the Vacasa team is helpful and easy to work with.
The place was great, exactly as described, except for the name. You can see the lake, but just barely through the trees. It provided all the listed amenities and the instructions were all very clear. Since no one stayed after us, we were allowed to stay until 7:00PM on our check out night for a nominal fee. Beds were comfortable and two full baths was really nice to have. Kitchen, TV, wifi all delivered as promised.
We loved the condo, and would love to own the place. It was perfect for my wife and I, and our two teenage daughters. Very comfortable furnishings. We loved the view and enjoyed the warm sunshine through the big windows in the morning. I highly recommend the walk down to the pier and the view of the lake and mountains, as it is spectacular. I can't wait to return!
Beautiful home, great surroundings, wonderful hiking and family activities located close by. Go, go, go!
The condo had everything we needed and the price was right. Would recommend.
Great place to stay and very comfortable. Nicely furnished and well stocked for cooking meals. Close proximity to ski resorts and Tahoe City. Very family friendly with pack n play, booster chair and kids utensils. Car port is great for keeping your dry when it rains/snows.
Great spot in Tahoe City.
It was perfect for our family.
Beautiful. Not far from the casinos and emerald bay is only a 25 minute drive away. The house is lovely. And we had a great time with the family. My mom found a spider in her sheets, but that was easily taken care of. Great place. I'd stay again.
I totally recommend this place.
Beautiful area and very comfortable stay...
Very nice, quiet. Exactly as pictured. Had a great couple of days.
Was very happy with my rental and stay. Walking distance to Chinquapin pier and beach. Quiet and relaxing! Will be back again soon!
The property was very comfortable and well stocked. The grounds on which the property lies was terrific...right on the lake, with multiple walking paths and great extra facilities like the pool and tennis courts.
Great place for our family to stay. The condo was clean and well stoked. The view from the wall of windows was great & the beach area was also sweet to explore. We'll stay here again for sure!
Vacasa's Chinquapin cabin was perfect for our 4 day vacation in Tahoe. It was in a wonderful location - right next to the lake and close to several ski resorts - and had a lovely, open feel with all the windows. We would love to stay here again!
My family spent 3 days at one of Vacasa Chinquapin cabin and everyone were really happy. This is an excellent place for family vacation, especially who has young kids because the location is very secured and clean. There is plenty of entertaining spots within the complex so your kids never feel bored staying here.
Close to Squaw, lake, and easy access to 80 and 50. Kitchen well equipped. Appreciated car port.
We enjoyed our stay -- the condo was clean, quiet and comfortable, and it was nice to be so close to the lake.
The property was as described. It was in a good location, close to ski resorts and town for some after skiing dinner. I would recommend staying here to others, easy to find and well maintained.
We fell in love with the home. The unit is so bright with lots of windows and skylights which allow for amazing views of the snow covered trees, icicles hanging from the eaves and a great peek at the water shimmering on the lake. The furnishings are very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Having a carport was super plus being that it snowed 4 feet during our stay. We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this magical place!
