The location of this home is superb; walking distance to coffee and a variety of restaurants and easy freeway access. This vacation rental is pet friendly which is a big plus. There are two full baths, small in size but functional. Second bedroom is small and might be tight quarters for two adults for more than a few days. We had three adults for the two rooms and it was just perfect. Very good value.
Ideally located close to everything we needed to do. Whether meeting up w/ friends in Claremont, visiting the San Diego Zoo or attending an event at the Convention center the place was perfect. We were running the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon and meeting friends so we needed flexibility and ease of movement. Close to the I-163 and right on the race course. Would HIGHLY recommend this rental for the marathon or San Diego comic con.
Nice house in a great location. Clean and well stocked.
Well designed and stocked, good location.
Adorable cottage close to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent 28 days in this house. The parking spot is tiny. But the street is always short of parking. We were able to squeeze a Jeep Grand Cherokee in but NOTHING bigger would fit. The house has a nice kitchen, and nice windows and natural lighting. Lots of dining and bars one block North. Balboa park starts 2 blocks South and is a great place to take the dog for a walk.
The construction on the house next door was loud, and dirty but should be complete in March.
Well equipped kitchen. Very cute home. Accommodates two couples perfectly. We enjoyed having good restaurants walking distance from the house.
Great Location! Close to all.
It has everything we needed and was in an great location for exploring !!
Beds were super comfy and it was set up really well even though it was small. My dog was able to go out in the front and the back without a leash since it was fenced in. Great restaurants and groceries within walking distance. Great time!
It was so well located- very easy access to freeway, downtown, Coronado and the general area- safe, walkable with lots of shops and food choices. The house has all amenities you need, there are some well worn areas that could use some work- like doors that look torn up, some walls that look like they were repaired diy, faucet handle. overall, I would recommend it as a good value for the area.
My family of four including a 9 month old rented this home over the 4th of July holiday and weekend.
The home looked just like the photos and was very clean. It was well decorated and cozy. The beds were comfortable and there was still enough room to set up a pack and play in the dining area. While the home isn’t child proof (and was not advertised as such) it was still very kid friendly.
The house is close to the neighborhood of North Park where we had most of our meals and less than ten minutes away from most sights and activities.
We would definitely stay there again.
Walk to Trader Joe and Ralph's. Many restaurants near. Parking at the house. Air conditioned. Very clean, everything was working.
We absolutely loved our stay in this adorable house! It was clean and welcoming upon arrival with all the amenities in easy to find spots. We loved the open floor plan with small children and the location was perfect for all the activities we did.
Loved the back yard. Beds were comfortable. House was neat and clean. Noisy neighborhood. Construction next door. Noisy outside at night. Weather was gray in dreary and we were not felling beachy.
This cottage was well stocked with many thoughtful extras. We were very comfortable and appreciated the large kitchen area too. It was great to be so close to grocery stores. We would definitely return on our next visit to San Diego.
We were in town to tour SDSU and the cottage was a quick Lyft ride from the airport and also a quick ride to the school. It's within an easy walking distance to grocery stores and many restaurants.
We stayed 3 nights over Easter weekend and loved it. Close to main attractions in San Diego and also walking distance to everything you need.
The house was clean with pretty much everything you need for cooking. Walkable to several grocery and specialty shops. Convenient access to highways. Beds were comfortable.
Great location central to all areas of San Diego that we wanted to visit. Cute place that has all you need
Great location to walk around and see the area. Fun little house with a great patio out back to hang out at home.
Had no idea where the house was located, but booked based on other reviews. Hillcrest is a happening area, safe, lots of great restaurants and some shopping. Uber to the water was typically under $10, walking distance to Balboa Park.
Comfy beds, nice rear patio, great little get away.
We did not stay at house very much. We did enjoy the extra space and the two bathrooms. We stayed in a suite on the first part of our trip which had two rooms and one bathroom. This property was much more comfortable.
We were needing a place to stay in the Hillcrest area and were very happy with this family-sized property, with its proximity to Balboa Park, many excellent restaurants, and yet also a quiet residential atmosphere.
Would recommend this place to anyone! Very much a quaint beautiful and affordable place to stay! We had so much fun!
We were extremely happy with this home.
Great location. Very convenient and close to many area highlights including Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Point Loma. Walkable area for restaurants, shopping, grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a small compact house but had everything you need for a stay in San Diego. Not far from the airport and city, great location for restaurants, spas and shopping with a couple of big Malls a short drive away. Easy area to walk around, safe and everything you need within a short distance.
Fantastic home VERY well located in the Hillcrest district of San Diego with all services within 5 minute walking distance. The house is as advertised, very clean & well equipped. Basics were provided by the property (small containers of shampoo, soap in each bathroom, dish detergent & new sponge, dishwasher pods). All important & pertinant information concerning the home was released to us well in advance of our arrival date. GREAT PROPERTY & we will definitely recommend the property & would rent it again in a heartbeat!
My husband fell on Tuesday night and broke his leg. I called in on Wednesday but could not get a refund, even a partial refund. My brother in law and his wife went ahead with the trip and stayed in the house. This was a family reunion in San Diego. Because of the circumstances I feel that better customer service was warranted. I would never rent a place like this again, and pay in advance like I did, again. We are semi retired and $756 is a lot of money to us. I would never recommend this to anyone either. Shirlene Kenny

This house is a beautiful property. It is stocked very well with good amenities Decorated wonderfully The area is very nice also with great restaurants and shopping Transportation is convenient I will definitely stay here on my next trip to San Diego
We loved all the conveniences of this home. It was perfect for our family of 4. We were close to everything we wanted to do (zoo, beaches, downtown) and I loved being able to walk to Trader Joe's to stock the fridge. Having a driveway was great too as the street parking looking hard to come by.
This place is fantastic! It is extremely well-equipped and comfortably furnished. The location is great--it is very easy to get on-and-off the highway from here. Also close to the airport, but still a quiet neighborhood. Having a spot for one car in the driveway is a huge bonus! We will definitely rent this place again--it was perfect for our needs (2 adults) but you could easily have another adult guest or a couple of kids. Staff and service were outstanding.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit has pleanty of extras in the kitchen for cooking. Comfortable and well maintained. Loved the back yard. It is exactly as represented in the pics. We parked on the street which left the drive available for our visitors.
We will be back. Thank you!
Easy access to destinations and groceries
The cottage was as advertised. Beds comfortable, very clean and great location.
Good location. Off street parking. Quiet street. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Street parking is very tight so only bring one car.
The house is clean and in great condition. The location works well as you can walk to Balboa Park and the zoo as well as Whole Foods and various delicious restaurants. The backyard is great when the weather is good as you can grill and eat outside (not a lot of bugs!).
Had a great stay in San Diego at this cute cottage. Good location and nicely updated house! Close to all the attractions that around family would want to go to.
No complaints. Only thing we missed was having a broom and dust pan to clean up during our stay. Back door needs a bit of weather stripping.
Great location and perfect for two-four people.
We enjoyed this cute little cottage. The location was perfect for getting around town, and since all 4 of us love to cook, we really appreciated all the kitchen gizmos and accessories. Very well equipped!
We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in this bungalow in December and were amazed by its proximity to many San Diego attractions. We never seemed more than 5-6 miles from anything we wanted to see (and were often a lot closer). There was also a great grocery store within walking distance.
The house is very tastefully furnished and was very clean. We did have one issue with the oven, but it was quickly and professionally fixed by the property management company. Highly recommended!
We stayed at the Market Cottage for a week of R & R after helping our daughter pack up her house for a move. It allowed us a mini vacation with her and our son's family who live just blocks away from Essex St. We chose this rental home because the location was perfect for our extended family. But, we were pleasantly surprised by it's mix of old CA cottage charm and beautiful new furnishings.
My wife and i stayed here in between moving from Mission Bay to Solana Beach. I must say it was very cozy and comfortable. The spot is centrally located so if you want tobhit the beach or downtown your only 5 to 8 minutes away! Property management is there to help and they are responsive to requests within minutes if not seconds.
University Avenue is 1 block away and there are tons of places to eat and grab a drink or 3.
