We really loved our stay. The condo is super comfortable and beautiful. We had two couples and it's a good sized unit. I love the location. Thanks for the great time.

We were delighted with this clean and comfortable apartment. The location was terrific and we loved being able to go out the door and walk everywhere.
The bonus outdoor seating area was very comfortable and a pleasant place to have coffee in the am.
We would most definitely come back.

Overall we had a good stay - this property is lovely, sparkling clean, well-stocked, located in a great spot, and has lots of free off street parking. The ONLY downside for me was the loud music coming from the nearby bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon a restaurant two doors down was playing live music outside. Not a big deal as we were out exploring all day, but the music could definitely be heard in the apartment despite all doors and windows being closed. The deal-breaker for me, however, was the thumping bass and loud music that night via the bar/nightclub next door. Despite the white noise machine provided in the bedroom, I could actually feel the bass and this went on well into the early morning. The proximity to restaurants and bars was awesome but not being able to avoid the noise when I was tired was not. This is terrific property BUT you might want to think twice if you are a light sleeper.

The location was good for walking distance of downtown Charleston. The parking was a challenge and although there are supposed to be 2 parking spaces per apartment on one afternoon when we returned there were one. There is construction going on all around and the contractors use these parking spaces. Even the cleaning crew on the day we left said the same thing and they have to pay and park on the road outside at time.
First the hygienist's shortcomings:
1. Cleanliness of the kitchen area only was very poor. smoked cigar from previous renter left on kitchen shelf.
2. Dirt, dust and bottle caps down the side of the refrigerator - these weren't even cleaned when we asked for the cleaning crew to come back and resolve.
3. Unwrapped candy left in kitchen drawer, again not resolved by second cleaning crew coming in.
4. Lots of dirt and dust on kitchen shelves, clearly hasn't been wiped down or dusted in a long time. This was resolved by the second cleaning crew coming in.
1. They have 2 gates in the common entrance area and patio area that are key code entry. A joke as when we arrived both gate locks were't functioning allowing children on skateboards to come in off of King Street and play in the patio area (and yes we asked them first if they were staying at the 563 King St. complex). We stayed 3 nights and by the time we checked out only one gate was repaired to prevent public access.
2. Apartment C has bedrooms on the upper floor and the noise from the bars on the street was very loud up until 1am. They have white noise machines in each bedroom and this is probably why.
In summary it is a nice apartment and the shortcomings were not the fault of the owner. It's a lack of attention to detail on housekeeping, maintenance and the construction work going on all around which means you may not end up with a parking space. Apparently each apartment has 2 spaces, there's no policing of this and I'm convinced apart from the contractors using these spaces there are others too.
Thank you for staying with us, Gary. We are glad you enjoyed the location of this condo but apologize for the details that were amiss. We are so sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced regarding the parking situation. The parking lot is shared with another complex and we do enforce towing for vehicles not allowed. We have made our local team aware of your concerns regarding the security gate and they have confirmed both gates now close and are secure after entering and exiting the property. We will also pass your feedback to our housekeeping staff to ensure future cleans are completed to our standards. Thank you for your feedback and we hope to have another opportunity to impress you in the future.

Although we ran into some unforseeable obstacles, Karl and his team were incredible helpful, responsive and accommodating. I would happily rent again from this company in the future. The unit itself is in an excellent location, is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and unique. We loved the rooftop space as well!
