Beautiful Molokai Condo w/Free WiFi, Shared Pool & Tennis Court - Near Beaches!

This ground-floor one-bedroom, one-bath condo has sparkling ocean views right from the unit. You'll have access to a covered lanai and to the shared pool, cabana, gas grills, a shared laundry facility, and beautifully landscaped grounds. This condo has beautiful views of the ocean and the tropically landscaped grounds. This condo comfortably sleeps two, and there are two folding futons in the room for two kids to use. The suite is nicely remodeled and tropically furnished inside. Molokai is known as "The Friendly Isle," and is considered the most Hawaiian of the islands. Like stepping back in time 50 years, you won't find traffic lights, elevators, malls, glitz, or nightlife. If you're looking for a rural place for relaxation, snorkeling, beautiful ocean views, quiet beaches, and old Hawaii, you'll find it on Molokai.

What's nearby:
38 miles long and only 10 to 15 miles wide, Molokai is the smallest of the main Hawaiian chain. The west side is arid and dry, and during the winter, the beaches are great for surfing, while summer guests love snorkeling and swimming. The eastern side is lush and tropical with miles of barrier reef in front. Molokai's north side is famous for having the world's highest sea cliffs which rise some 3,000 feet out of the ocean. The 2774-acre Kamakou Forest Preserve on Molokai overlooks these sea cliffs and is home to endangered birds and over 200 Hawaiian plants that grow only in this preserve. Molokai's south side is where you will find our main town of Kaunakakai, plus a handful of tourist and art shops, two full-service grocery markets, a health food store, a bakery, and even a wine and cheese shop. You'll also find some shopping in the villages of Kualapu'u and Maunaloa.

Things to know:
Please note that internet and cell phone reception can be spotty at times.

Ok so here goes. In all honesty, things could be better things could be worse. I’ll start with the obvious. If you aren’t from Hawaii, prepare yourself for the amount of bugs that will encounter. On Molokai, primarily the flies are absolutely brutal. You kill 1 and 2 more come. It’s never ending. Cockroaches are a given. We were visited by a very large cane spider on this trip, about the size of my daughters hand. Is why it is. The place. It’s located a short walk to both the pool and the ocean. The views are great. The water is muddy brown as is most of this side. If you are expecting pristine crystal clear ocean and light sand, this is not going to be to your liking. Think more like... the Gulf of Mexico beach wise but everything past that is absolutely beautiful. When we arrived the place smelled like bug bomb for the entire day. Definitely not pleasant. It’s the smell you get from cheap motels. That part was a bummer. It is warm, so plan for that. No air conditioning. If you need that, don’t choose this place. If you can deal with fans and breeze this place is solid. WiFi is super confusing and it doesn’t work well at all. They tell you in the book what to connect to but don’t give you a password. Lol. You will have to call the agent unless they update their books. They are pretty old. Stuff in there from 2012. Time to upgrade for sure. Backdoor screen doesn’t work and is badly in need of replacement. Normal for vacation rentals. My recommendation... lock back slider and go out front when going to pool. Don’t want to leave yourself open to theft. So basically those are the details of the place. It’s charming in the fact that it’s a condo near the ocean. The pool is amazing. Not a lot of people. You probably won’t be inside much so you’ll get over it. It’s not great for those who want pristine beaches, air conditioning, good WiFi and cell reception.
