Condo was in a great spot (half a block away from the beach and walking distance to downtown Carpinteria). It was clean with decent pool and a cute patio.

The problem was not with the place it was with Vacasa. Something came up on my end and I tried to contact Vacasa via VRBO messaging system several days before our check-in date but never heard back (other rentals I’ve booked responded promptly). I was able to get a hold of them via phone after not hearing anything via messenger and not getting a reply via email. They were very nice but the inquiry didn’t get handled at time of phone call, which was not the end of the world, but they said they would have the person handling the inquiry call me back, but they never did.

In the end I would have booked this place again in a heartbeat if it were not for the lack of communication with Vacasa which created a negative experience with an otherwise lovely beach condo vibe.
