Great place to stay. Very clean, great location. Everything was in working condition and worked for our family.

Great location near pickleball courts and close to the beach. Nicely furnished. would stay again

We enjoyed our stay in this condo and found it to be very secluded and relaxing. It has had some updates, and the pictures in the listing reflect it accurately. The bridge pictured in the listed was closed recently, so that added 5 minutes to the walk to the beach which now takes 10 minutes. While sitting on the screened in porch we enjoyed watching Arnold the alligator lazily swim around in the lagoon . There was plenty of room for the two of us to enjoy our getaway.
Corey K. Sep 2022
The villa had what we needed, but the kitchen and furniture (couch & master mattress specifically) could use a little maintaining and/or updating.
The AC froze the first evening we got there, but maintenance was quick to respond.
The main issue we had was the bridge in the pictures for easier access to the beach, was closed and looks to be closed for the foreseeable future and shouldn’t be used as a selling point at this time. We would recommend the place/location, but maybe call about the bridge access before booking.
Overall successful trip and we will be back to the area!
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, Corey, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. We will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding the couch and bedding and look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Always love my visits to KIiawah. This villa was clean and located near the boardwalk to the beach. I will definitely stay here again.
James R. Apr 2022
This is our third stay on Kiawah Island and this was a fantastic location next to the Sanctuary Resort Hotel and within a very short walk to the tennis courts and beach. Master Bedroom was very comfortable and loved the mattress and modern bathrooms. Twin beds in second bedroom were great for the kids. Very quiet and serene screened in back porch overlooking the pond (with alligators!) was great for morning coffee and breakfast!

The property was very accommodating for myself and two young children. We truly felt we were on a true luxury getaway, by our standards!
Carol W. Nov 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this villa. Peaceful, quiet, and very close to the awesome beach and golf courses. We will definitely be back!

Clean and Comfy

We have visited Kiawah several times over the past nine years and have used Vacasa/VRBO for our 7 day -14 day rentals. This unit was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. We liked the ground floor entry. We were favorably impressed with the kitchen and the master bed and ensuite bath. The king bed mattress was to our liking as we prefer a firm mattress. The closets were furnished with wooden clothes hangers. The unit faces south and sunrise was easy on the eyes. Sunset, after the equinox, was casting harsh light and heat into the unit. We enjoyed meals and morning coffee on the screened porch and observing wildlife (deer, squirrels, birds and a gator) close to the unit. We had one issue with none of the coffee makers being functional however the property manager sent a new drip maker to the unit the following morning after check in. There were very minor issues with a dim light over the dining area, small water leak at the kitchen sink and crawling pests showing up after a few days. I'm certain the management company has addressed those satisfactorily. The unit is positioned next to the tennis courts so one can hear activity there if one is not biking the island, dining away from the unit or strolling the beach. Beach access is five minutes from the unit and easily gained via the lagoon bridge, which affords a view of water birds, and more gators. All appliances were clean and operational. We had two instances of the upstairs neighbor playing music/television loud enough to disturb our sleep however once I asked him personally to lower the volume, we had no further disruptions. We would return here given the opportunity.

Excellent location

The villa is located very close to the bridge that leads straight to the beach. It is very peaceful. Tennis courts are located nearby and it is an easy walk to Sanctuary hotel to grab a drink at the bar or to have dinner at one the hotels restaurants. The villa had everything we needed. It is nicely updated and clean. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and convenient to beach.
Enjoyed the view with the lagoon right behind the villa for alligator watching as well as squirrel, deer and turtle crossings!

Stay especially if you play tennis. Updated unit with comfortable bedding , plenty of linens and nice towels. The kitchen was well equipped, just bring your own spices. Everything worked and we had no maintenance issues during our stay. There is an easy to use path and walkways to the beach but it is about a 10 minute walk. Plenty of biking and walking trails. The island is lovely. It’s about 3 1/2 miles to the Fresh fields area where there are many shops and restaurants along with the grocery store.

Another pleasant stay at our favorite vacation spot! The unit was clean and had all the necessary amenities. 4789 sits at the end of the winding road that takes you into the Tennis Club Lane villas, just next to the tennis courts. The 5 min walk to the beach takes you over the pond, on to a well lit path. The beach access is across the road where you stroll under a beautiful green canopy, past the perfectly manicured Turtle Point golf course then on to the boardwalk, through the dunes. Bring your wagon, if you have multiple chairs, toys or a cooler to transport! All our basic necessities were provided (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, sheets and towels) but be prepared to supply ALL of your own cooking essentials, due to COVID restrictions. If you plan on preparing meals in the villa, you will need to bring or purchase things like salt and pepper, coffee filters (there is a Keurig) oils, spices, etc. Gone are the days of discovering treasures left behind from previous renters, that saved us on our Harris Teeter bill. The only negative thing I feel I need to share is the condition of the mattresses in the villa. Simply put, they were just not comfortable, for any of us. I have brought this to the attention of our rental agency. I can only hope they pass the info along to the home owners and the mattresses are upgraded prior to your arrival. I hope this review helps you prep for your trip and you enjoy your stay in Kiawah as much as my family did!

This small 2- bedroom unit has one big plus: a sizable screened porch that overlooks a calm pond, complete with a couple of alligators, blue herons, turtles, chirping birds of all types. We ate all our meals (except breakfast when it was still cool) out on that porch. The master bedroom is a bit small, but also has a door to the screened porch. The bed was super soft, but it worked. Both bathrooms have been updated. The kitchen wasn't fully stocked, but that's probably common during a pandemic.

The Internet worked very well, and so did the TVs, which included a DVR, along with Netflix and HBO and Cinemax. The furnishings aren't deluxe, but they are fine. The unit was clean.

The bridge to the beach is right outside the unit's front door. It's a short walk, maybe 1/3 of a mile. Kiawah doesn't have a lot of restaurants or shopping, but a small convenience store is a short walk away, along with Night Heron Park with activities for kids. There are many routes for walking or bike riding, all over the island.

Would we rent this unit again? Yes, definitely.

This unit was a great value! The kitchen felt a little dated, but it worked really well for a weekend trip. Amazing views/porch and short walk to the beach.
Keith O. Jan 2021
all of these villas are built with the exterior heat pump/AC coils for 4 units on a single deck which happened to be adjacent to the Master Bedroom of this unit.
We were there during a cold spell (30's at night)and the noise from multiple units cycling on and off during the coldest part of the night made it very difficult to fall back asleep. That probably would not be an issue in milder weather.
We were happy with the location and condition of the unit. Pleasant 5-8 minute walk to the beach. Pretty Lagoon visible from breakfast table and screened porch.

good home, convenient location

Condo was nice.
Sandra L. Oct 2020
This comfortable 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage sits by a quiet lagoon teeming with wildlife of all kinds. The screened in porch is great for a relationship. It is minutes to the beach, tennis courts or excellent restaurants. A good vacation experience!
Karen D. Oct 2020
This condo was perfect in every way! Amazingly clean, beautifully furnished and the location was perfect. The resident Gator even came to visit us just as we were leaving... Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely home!!!
ROBERT E. Aug 2020
The unit was very clean and well stocked with most everything you need for a get beach stay. Highly Recommended. A few small disappointments...When you rent this unit, there is no pool access. While I love spending time on the beach, I prefer to actually swim in a pool versus the ocean so that was a bummer. There were no beach chairs available in this unit. Yes, you may rent them but almost all the beachside condo rentals I have previously enjoyed included them.
Janet P. Jul 2020
The bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen were all spotless. There was a very lovely screened in terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee. The only thing missing was the dishwashing liquid and sponge that I thought would be provided. All else great. Beds were comfy. Multiple places to hang out and eat as a family of four.
DAVID S. Jun 2020
3 minute walk to beach and 5 minute walk to turtle point gold coarse
Jimmy T. Jun 2020
Great location for the beach and Sanctuary while also overlooking secluded water and forest with tons of wildlife just outside the door.
Lauren B. Jun 2020
Comfortable, spacious, and close to the beach. We really enjoyed the outdoor porch and even saw a few alligators in the waters outside! There is now a ceiling fan in the master so we did not have any temperature issues as some prior reviews indicate. Vacasa only provides one trash bag, one toilet roll per bathroom, one paper towel roll, and no sponge. If you are staying for more than a few nights be prepared to bring or buy more of these cleaning supplies!

It is very nice and relaxing!!

What a wonderful condo very near the beach and fantastic golf courses appointed with everything that you’ll need. Can’t wait to return.
Jack K. Aug 2019
In Kiawah for a friends wedding and this villa was a nice place to stay. It was close to the market and tennis courts, and we’d stay here again if we were to come back.
Valentina E. Aug 2019
This house is perfect for a family of 4. We really did enjoy the stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. The TV channels offered had plenty of selection. The spot was a near 5 min walk to the beach so with little ones it was a pretty easy distance. We gave it a 4 out of 5 stars because we had a minor incident but Vacasa corrected immediately. Can't beat the customer service and can't beat a vacation at Kiawah Island!
Heather P. Jul 2019
The villa came equipped with everything we needed....including a beautiful view of the lagoon. We were just a short walk or bike ride to the ocean and were right beside the Sanctuary. The master bedroom does not have a ceiling fan, but the box fan provided solved that problem easily. Would absolutely return!
Christine B. Jun 2019
Absolutely beautiful and cozy condo! Perfect for 4 or less and a very short walk to the beach. Bring a wagon to carry your beach gear!
Theresa L. May 2019

James L. May 2019
Walking distance to the beach. Screened porch that overlook the lagoon. Nice floor plan. Needs ceiling fans in bedrooms and close to delivery trucks to sanctuary motel.

Clean, roomy condo. So much wildlife to see from the screen porch. Really, great views from all the rooms. Beach is about a 7 min walk, maybe longer for my mom who’s slowing down a bit.
Stephanie S. Jun 2018
Villa was exactly as described. Pretty decor. Short walk to the beach. I had a conference at Turtle Pointe and it was in walking distance. Would love to visit again. Easy check in and out. Nice welcome bag was left for us.
Robert D. Aug 2017
nice property, comfortable layout of rooms,
RP . Jul 2017
This is a lovely condo with a short walk to the beach, and a quick bike ride to East Beach market or the Sanctuary. Everything is fresh, the bathrooms and kitchen are very nice, and the furniture is comfortable. However, there needs to be a ceiling fan installed in the master bedroom, as the bedroom was very stuffy since there appeared to be only one A/C vent. In the alternative, a new box/standing fan should be purchased, as the box fan available was very loud even at the lowest setting. The A/C works well throughout the unit generally.

The villa if perfect for a family of 4. Very clean, updated baths. The villa is close the Town Center which serves quick foods and ice cream. The closest boardwalk was closed so be prepared for a walk (8-10 mins.)if you have lots of beach stuff. Recommend getting bikes to ride the beautiful, tree covered paths. A plus, the rental company sent us a message that our villa was ready early so we could check-in. That's always good news on arrival day!
Anonymous . Aug 2015
Updated 2 BR 2 bath Villa within 5 minutes walk of the beach. Spotless upon arrival. Enjoyed the screened in porch and the view of the pond, the resident alligators and Osprey. Beautiful hardwood floors.
