Moonswept was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay and it was clean and comfortable. The closets did have a slight musty smell. I'm giving this a 4 rating since the access to the lake has many very steep steps that discouraged us to enjoy the lake up close.

The house worked out well for the 6 of us on a girls weekend getaway. Everything was very clean and the 3 bathrooms made it convenient to get ready every day. Hot tub was amazing for much needed relaxation! Driveway is steep but we figured it out quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

There are plenty of pro's and some con's with this home. The home has 5 bedrooms - 4 with queen beds and 1 with a twin. There were 3 full baths as well which was very nice. The Kitchen had just about everything you could ask for (except for a slow cooker). The home was clean and the bedrooms were cozy. There was a nice kitchenette with microwave and fridge in the downstairs portion which meant this home could easily be shared by 2 families - allowing togetherness and privacy. The laundry area was nice to have for towels too. The decks were gorgeous and there was ample picnic seating outside. There were plenty of books and videos on hand for those rainy days - but we brought some of our own games too.
The downstairs deck had a beautiful hot tub. The downside/suggestions for the home area were: 1) deck chairs were the inexpensive plastic adirondak deck chairs - not very comfy - would have been nice to have some loungers 2) the yard was not mowed until day 4 - hubby had to go home and get the weedeater to at least do the downstairs yard for the dogs 3) the front hill was not maintained well which impeded some of the view - I would cut down some of the scrub brush 4) the driveway is VERY steep 5) would suggest written instructions for the dishwasher too - had to youtube that one but it was a great dishwasher once we figured it out. 6) The indoor dining table only seated 6 when the home would accommodate 10. 7) No cable TV - had to figure out how to cast from phone to TV and could not do with apple phones - at least in upstairs - this was nice to have for the rainy days - but the home does have wi-fi. 8) window ACs in the bedrooms sometimes just not quite enough to cool down. 9) limited parking - had to be very careful of septic area and with steepness of driveway had to be extremely careful - we had 4 couples so 4 vehicles - at times a bit of a challenge but I think you get used to it after a few entries and exits.
The Beach area: This is located across the road down 115 VERY steep stairs - likely not for very small children or elderly or disabled - but we did fine - good exercise after a day of 'vacation style eating.' There were no Kayaks as advertised - which was disappointing - owners thought they must have floated away in the storms. There is no beach per se - but a very lovely pavilion/gazebo with some seating, a ceiling fan and fridge - along with a nice outhouse with composting toilet (instructions for use in the main cottage). The docks were very nice and I believe could have accommodated a pontoon boat too. There was a canoe - but we did not use that. There were some pool toys and life jackets on the deck too. Overall, this area was very nice - and if you could bring a cooler or two down - would have been a nice area for a picnic. We did not do that due to the steepness of the stairs - but it could be done. Or could bring food/drink in on your boat too.
As far as booking through VACASA - I would do it again - there was plenty of communication before and during our stay. As far as this property - likely would not rent again - although the house was really nice and nicely appointed, allowed dogs with a good fee, could fit all 8 of us without feeling crowded - the distance from the lake, the steep driveway and stairs to dock area - would not be for us in the future.

The home had everything we needed, and the hot tub was an added bonus. The dock was perfect for our pontoon boat, and provided a fun area to swim with our dog in the shallower parts of the lake. Vacasa’s local team were great to work with when we needed help as well. We would absolutely come back to Moon Swept!

This house had a lot of space and was very clean. I loved the view from the upper deck. We also enjoyed the little sitting area on the dock. Beware there are lots of steep steps to climb to get to the lake. The area also has lots of great hiking. There are also lots of wineries to visit. This trip was just my husband and I but we would definitely return and try to bring along some of our family members the next time.

Really enjoyed our 2 weeks at Moon Swept. The dock was awesome. The trip down to the dock is not for the faint of heart, as other reviewers have said, but the other side of that is that the house is up high with great views. Lots of improvements underway.

We grew up on Keuka Lake, but this was our first chance to reconnect in nearly 10 years. Our family group of 6 adults and 2 dogs had a perfect week. House was very clean and comfortable. We cooked and ate all meals in, making great use of the big main kitchen, grill and large deck. Yes, there are a lot of steps to the lake, but the facilities there (2 docks, big partially covered deck, spotless bathroom, kayaks, etc.) made it most worthwhile. We enjoyed hours there every day.

Had a great time at this house. Views are beautiful. Very comfortable for 7 adults and pet friendly! Kitchen well equipped, house was super clean, bonus that linens are provided. We all enjoyed the large dock with lots of seating and canopy to take a break from the sun. The kayaks and paddle board were great and life vests were new and clean. Close to Hammondsport was a bonus too. The only caveat to this house is the steps down to dock. The listing was not clear that there was 117 steps so we were surprised and concerned for my older parents. We made it work (fortunately there is a bathroom on the dock), just wished the listing was more detailed so we knew what to expect.

The space was clean and private with a variety of comfortable areas to lounge indoors at outdoors. The dock was great with a variety of water toys that were well used. Glad the stairs are being replaced to the lake.. they felt a bit shaky. Looking forward to another stay.

The house was very nice and clean and comfortable. The only drawback is the lake access. While the dock itself is nice and has kayaks and paddleboat and canoe....the steps down are incredibly long and steep! If you have any kind of disability, forget about going down to lake.

The house it’s self was good. The AC didn’t work very well. The bed rails on the bed upstairs were broke. The grass was very very over grown. Also, the deck was very dangerous. Nails sticking out of the deck and Power tools (literally a table saw) were all under the gazebo so we had no shade plus, we had 5 kids (ages 10 and up) so we had to have our eyes on them 24/7. There was no rails on the last set of stairs! Shockingly I’m not sure how that was OSHA approved to be rented out. Again, the house was big enough for all of us. We had every appliance we needed and it was clean, but I wouldn’t recommend nor would I return to this location.
Hi, Nicole thank you for sharing your review. We apologize that we fell short of delivering an exceptional vacation rental experience. We are working with our local team to assess these issues and we are working diligently to repair all of them. We hope to have another opportunity to impress you in the future!
