Being one of the few houses in the Chaplain Islands with sandy beaches, and the only house on Isle La Motte with that privilege, scenic days in the sun are always possible. Making your stay that much more magical, the Milky Way is visible most nights of the year.

When you aren't enjoying a lake day with the cabin's floating dock (available seasonally May - September), kayaks, or paddle boards - check out nearby Fiske Quarry Nature Preserve and Goodsell Ridge Nature Preserve. Other landmarks include the wildlife refuge in Swanton and Saint Anne's Shrine. Outdoor enthusiasts will also be thrilled to learn there are nine different state parks and five golf courses in the area to explore as well. Bikers will adore the vast trail system nearby, and winter activities are similarly abundant with the area's stellar ice fishing and snowmobiling opportunities. For those who prefer the thrill of skiing, eight different ski resorts are within two hours away. The island also has two boat ramps within a mile, while a third is approximately five miles away, something boat owners are sure to love.
