This place was adorable. We enjoyed long peaceful walks through the redwoods, yoga on the deck, an easy jaunt to the little town-center, covered bridge, and music hall, and a ride on the nearby steam engine! We met the neighbors as well and they were beyond-kind.
The magical treehouse is cozy, sweet, unique, bright, and we loved hearing the baby birds in the next sharing the trees with us! We couldn't decide which room we all loved best but each one was comfy and clean so we made sure to rotate where we spent time to enjoy it all - great job Vacasa!

Lovely interior, very charming, has everything you need, easy to access. Plenty of blankets and towels. Lots of space heaters.

My family loved this beautiful treehouse just a short walk from downtown Felton and quick drive to the beach. Morning coffee shared in the sunroom with birds chirping hello is a pretty great way to start the day. It's spacious but cozy, with inviting decor and a vibe that feels like home

I stayed during a recent rainstorm and the sound of the rain on the roof was like being inside an ASMR video. The view from the deck was so green and lush, and the place felt like being in the country -- yet it was 3 minutes from Felton. All I had to do was step outside and be surrounded by my beloved redwoods.
Other good things: the decor was so colorful and cute, and the couches were huge and so well positioned for lounging with a book. It was great to wake up to trees just outside my bedroom door. And the deck was too wet for me to sit and eat on, but I loved being able to bring my coffee outside and just stand there taking in the trees.
Here were the downsides, though (I'd rather give 3.5 stars than 3, but that wasn't an option):
* It was chilly. There was what looked like some sort of a wall-mounted heater device, but I couldn't find a single switch or lever to actually turn it on, and the binder with house info didn't mention anything about it. That meant using space heaters, which are not as efficient; I didn't want to use more than two at a time in the living space as I didn't want to blow a fuse. And the fireplace, which was a huge part of the appeal for me in choosing this place, was out of order :( On the plus side, the place warmed up very fast when I was cooking dinner, and stayed cozy the rest of the evening.
* Other things weren't working either. There were two cute little reading lights behind the bed, but, again, no switches; just plugs to plug them in, which I did, and nothing. So the only option for reading in bed (not everyone uses Kindle) was using the bright overhead light for the whole room.
* I also chose the place for the really cool clawfoot tub with the sliding tray for a nice hot relaxing bath and a book. But the tub's plug was nowhere to be seen -- I looked -- and so the only option was to use a washcloth, which didn't really work.
* The kitchen had a strange assortment of things. There was a Belgian waffle maker (cool!) that was crusted over with food (not cool.) Exactly one saucepan/frying pan, and it was very thin and flimsy, and the one time I tried to scramble an egg it burned. There was only one knife, which was large and quite dull. The food I brought was a very simple meal to prepare, and I still found it really challenging. If you're staying here, I'd recommend only planning on reheating simple things in the oven or microwave, or just eating out or getting takeout. Which brings me to ...
*Cell service. I didn't have cell service the whole time I was there. This, plus the fact that the place was very difficult to find (no address marks on the house at all, and the only house numbers were very small and easy to miss driving by) meant that I couldn't get food delivered. The driver wouldn't have had any way to find the house, since it wasn't marked with a house number and wasn't actually located on the same street where the address was, and wouldn't have been able to call me to help them.
While it's obviously not the house owners' fault that I didn't have service, I might have appreciated a more clear warning that some carriers didn't work out there, and/or a land line in the house so that I had some access to a working phone.
I did try to reach the house owners before my stay, with a few questions about the kitchen, but it was clear that the person who took my questions was a) not the owner and b) didn't have any specific information about this particular house. That wasn't very helpful.
Overall, I don't know if I would stay again; the combination of only being able to cook very basic meals (I do not like microwaved meals) or get any delivered, together with not having any way for someone to call me in an emergency ... might be prohibitive. It's too bad, as this place was so pretty and so cute.

This cabin is in a great central location and has an amazing window nook area that I absolutely loved. That being said it could definitely use some updates. The bed was terrible, there were no oven mitts, the shower curtain is moldy and there were heaps of furniture trash right outside the bathroom window. I felt a little awkward being over a permanent tenant just that I was always trying to keep my children quiet, it was also weird to find pictures of them in the books and other places around the cabin. It was an ok stay not sure I would choose it again though.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness and stuff. I would say if you go you might want to get a toaster and bring it with you and maybe a pot. :) Other then that it was awesome.

The Treehouse had everything we needed to be a great homebase for a Santa Cruz mt biking adventure. Even in an unexpected heat wave it was comfortable with doors and windows open. We were sorry to have our stay cut short due to wildfires in the area. We will be back!

Great quiet and secluded house. Furnished perfectly and the quiet was perfect for us. On the beach and kayaking during the day, and in the redwoods and forest feel at night. Will rent again, absolutley beautiful!!

We absolutely LOVED the Mt. Hermon Treehouse! I've been coming to Mount Hermon since I was a kid, then counselor at RWC and now a Dad. This charming cabin captures the spirit of Mt. Hermon so well! Can't wait to go back!

We loved all the Swedish touches and furnishings. The deck was not usable and the bed is hell. We slept on the couches. It’s truly charming, however, in a perfect location.
Thank you for telling us about your stay here! We will try to blow off the deck more frequently so guests can fully enjoy using it. We are disappointed to read you found the bed so uncomfortable; there are other mattresses and cots in the home to use. We hope to see you again!

The cabin was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the redwood trees from every room. We loved the vintage and Nordic decor! We are looking forward to the next vacation to book it again.

The cottage was charming and restful. We loved sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful redwood trees. It was great being close to the state park for hiking and to Felton for supplies. Hope we can return soon!

What a gem we found in this adorable treehouse cabin. We loved every minute we were there ... visualize resting on the couch with patio doors open to 2 giant redwoods ... visualize eating dinner with a majestic view of the redwoods through another set of patio doors ... visualize your big cozy bed tucked in between the cedar walls with yet another door opening to the divine beauty outside you. What a treat. What a gift. Fully stocked kitchen that we cooked all our meals in. Only 15 minutes from the beautiful Santa Cruz beaches. So many precious Danish and Swedish personal touches throughout the whole cabin. Sweet futons on the big outdoor deck to nap under the stunning redwoods. Our vacation at the Mt Hermon Treehouse was a pure delight!
