Tucked into the woods just three blocks (less than a quarter-mile) from the ocean beach at Arch Cape, Fernhaven is a place to gather with family and friends or even find a bit of seclusion and romance in the midst of gorgeous coastal scenery.

After a day spent beachcombing or hiking in neighboring Oswald West State Park, you'll be excited to return to this inviting, spacious home. The living room is wonderfully unique, offering lofty ceilings, a piano and stereo system, a large sectional sofa warmed by a wood-burning stove, and a two-story wall of windows that frame the woods. Overlooking this space is an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a walk-in pantry, a long breakfast bar with five stools, and an adjacent dining room table with seating for 10 guests. A second sitting area awaits upstairs in the loft-like den, where you can gather around the flatscreen TV and entertainment center for nightly movies and board games.

Catch the evening sunset on the beach and swap stories of the day's adventures around the outdoor firepit before retreating to one of Fernhaven's four bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the main floor, two bedrooms upstairs, and one bathroom on each of these floors (one with a jetted bathtub and both with radiant floor heating). Additional amenities include free WiFi throughout the house and a high-capacity washer/dryer.

We so enjoyed this beautiful home! This was perfect for our needs (an extended family of 7) and was an ideal home base for a break from the grind. We had ample space to be together or to get some quiet time, the furniture was comfortable, the beds were comfortable, and the location was very quiet and peaceful. Just a simple walk to the beach, maybe 2 blocks worth, and it was easy for us to go back and forth between house and sand. Very close to Cannon Beach so only a quick 5 minute drive to the market, shopping, and dining, but just far enough away from the summer crowds and hubbub. Would definitely stay here again, thanks for the wonderful stay!

Architecturally beautiful house in a forest setting. Several areas with poor lighting, especially upstairs bathroom.

This place is comfortable, set up well, and close to the ocean. We had a great relaxing time with multi generations and plenty of room for all. I’ll be going back.

We had to make a quick change to this home at the last minute due to water damage in other home that we rented. Vacasa was on it and found this home for us right away. It is tucked in the trees directly across the highway from the beach. Great location, close to Cannon Beach and Manzanita Beach. The home is architecturally appealing and spotless. Hardwood floors throughout the home and heated tile floors in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with gadgets, pots, pans, dishes, etc. Everything that was needed for Thanksgiving dinner preparation. We really enjoyed our stay. I would like to make just a couple of suggestions..... In the downstairs bedroom with the King bed I would suggest a more sturdy frame and an upgraded mattress. I would also suggest upgrading the linens. Lastly, although original artwork is much appreciated in a home it is also subjective. We found the art in the main areas such as the great room and the bedrooms to be a bit depressing. I would replace with something a little more cheery.

Perfect location for a family coastal getaway. There where several beach access points within 5 miles of the home. So everyday was a new adventure during our stay. Lots to see in due within a short distance. The home was very spacious for a family of 6.
