I loved the deck, and the creek. Now only walked down like 3-4 times but it is beautiful! The hot tub was nice and hot when we got there! Lots of towels available for use, that was nice.

My husband and I and our dog, Clara Belle, had an excellent stay at this cabin. Excellently furnished… Lots of space for a family to spread out although it was just us, I took notes for future family gatherings. Very clean, lots of hooks everywhere for towels, bags, sweatshirts, etc. the downstairs game area an extra bed and bath look brand new. Fire pit was terrific. Nicely done Steps down to the creek. Although, if you’re not of moderate health and physical ability it’s probably best to just enjoy the woodland views from the back porches.

We had a great time relaxing by the fireplace at the Rising Trout Lodge. Very tranquil and had everything you would need.

Rising Trout is an absolutely adorable cabin. Everything you need for an awesome get away. The trail to the creek is a little steep, but not outrageously hard. This is a great cabin tucked away on a private mountain side making for the perfect secluded vacation! Love this place!

View is fantastic. Comfortable cabin could use a little updating. Easy access to cabin since we dont have a four wheel drive. In and out driveway was a plus. Wood burning fireplace kept us warm as we are from Florida We enjoyed our stay

The cabin we selected was excellent right by the river and it was beautiful the only snafu of the trip was that the key for the game room broke off in the lock, however mountain laurel cabin rental had a maintenance guy there within a few hours and it was fixed and we were having a fun time. Really enjoyed our trip and we will definitely do it again. Thanks to mountain laurel cabin rental for a Wonderful experience

If you're looking for isolation, this is the place. One almost needs a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the property. Once there, it is well maintained. The one thing I would do is re-screen the back porch. There are a few holes and tears in the screen, allowing bugs, wasp, etc. to enter. Good value for the money. Need better instructions on how to work the Dish TV. Better pillows and bedding wouldn't be bad either. Besides that, it was a great place to stay. There was some miscommunications between the management company and the housekeepers. Unfortunately out cabin was not made when we arrived at 4:30. However, Mountain Laurel had people there in 30 minutes to clean the cabin.

We stayed at the Rising Trout Lodge specifically for good trout fishing. The cabin definitely lived up to its name. It was some of the finest trout fishing I’ve experienced. I’m surprised more people have not really commented on just how great the fishing is there on Fightingtown Creek. The walk back up the hill would not be ideal for older folks or people out of shape. I enjoyed the workout personally. The cabin is beautiful and was very clean on our arrival. The price is fair and I would recommend this cabin and company to others!
