Loved this place!

The home was very nice and a great place to visit the Redwoods and other activities in Humboldt County. Close to the ocean and Gill's for breakfast and lunch. Gill's is a great place to eat breakfast. Enjoyed our stay alot!

Very clean and well decorated. Amazing place to stay for the old bay ambiance. So much to do in the beautiful redwood forest and wonderful history in downtown Eureka! Breakfast or lunch at Gills is not only delicious but a family business that dates way back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal. Nice walk to the water and a nearby beach. Fully enclosed side yard, which is great if you have pets. Close to Gill’s restaurant which was a great place for lunch (they also serve breakfast). We’d probably stay here again next time we get back to the Eureka area.

The home was clean and easy to find and check into. The heater doesn’t work and it was quite cold in the mornings and evenings. There is also no ac. The neighborhood isn’t great. The kitchen had everything you might need, except a toaster. The downstairs bed was not great at all. If you sat on the end the other end flipped up and we left with sore backs.
We checked out 2 nights early because it was just ok.
Manager response:
Jill, thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback, we are glad to hear you enjoyed our easy check-in process and the cleanliness of the home met your expectations. We appreciate you bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC and would have been happy to address these areas of concern had we been notified during your stay. We are happy to report the heater is in proper working order, a toaster is available in the cupboard, and the mattress is a high-quality tempurpedic brand. Please note the RV park located next to the home has recently made some tremendous upgrades to help improve the neighborhood. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future!

This dog friendly unit is tasteful and well managed. We loved the proximity to the bay and peaceful King Salmon vibe.

We loved the fresh flowers in the living room, 2 bubbly waters in the fridge, cleanliness and comfort of home. Not so much, was the kitchen ant problem. As we were there for a week, a washer/dryer and garbage disposal/dishwasher would have made it 5 star. I could tell there were lots of little nice touches by owner. ❤️D the backyard solar lights.

The house was perfect for us! The kids loved having their own room, the fenced yard and beach across the street were awesome for the dog, the kitchen had everything we needed and it was bright and clean. Gill’s is a great breakfast spot, right around the corner, and there are great places to shop and eat in Eureka and Arcata. We enjoyed Mointain biking and hiking in the redwoods and frolicking on the beaches. Great trip!

I had the best time in this little house. The area is “blue collar” but so quiet and feels so safe. I hope to go back ❤️

Clean, comfortable. Nice large kitchen table with 5 chairs for the whole family to eat and play cards and games

We enjoyed our time at this house…clean and spacious enough for us (family of 3) and 2 dogs.Good spot to walk the dogs !

This cute house was clean and cozy. It is basic, but just fine for our 3 night stay. Walked to the beach, watched the sunset, enjoyed a book on the porch, and took trips to town and the redwoods. The upstairs was great for our two teenage kids. Our dog was happy with the grass. Although this house is tucked away across from the RV park and Marina, the neighbors were friendly and it was quiet.

It was not in the safest location, it has a major ant infestation - even crawling through our bed!!! Wi fi never worked, and it felt like every room was slanting one way or another. Other than that it served it’s purpose.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Jennifer. We apologize that pests found their way into this home. This home is now on a treatment schedule and is pest-free. We are so sorry to hear you did not feel this area was safe. The owners and their families live and own multiple homes and RV parks in the area and take care to keep the area safe for everyone. Lastly, we are so sorry for the wifi not being available upon your arrival. The wifi is now working as it should. Thank you for letting us know there is room for improvement and we hope to have the opportunity to host you for a more enjoyable stay.

We had a great time staying at this home on the bay. Centrally located near many great restaurants in Eureka and a short drive to many of the hikes in Redwood NP. Very clean and well appointed home that was perfect for my family of four.
Deb N.Jun 2021
The house was the perfect size for us and our dog. Also, the house had everything one would require for a longer stay
Dante C.May 2021
House was well thought out, everything you need for your vacation is there. Very close to the water and trails.
Joanne S.Apr 2021
Loved the location near the bay and walking trails
Steven T.Mar 2021
Pros:
- Near Beach
- Lots of Walking Trails nearby
- Quaint little beach cottage that is about 10 minutes to the main strip in Eureka and 15 minutes to the Zoo/Sequoia Park.
- Upstairs has a view of the trails/sand dunes with provided binoculars.
Cons:
- Heater is a wall unit and only located downstairs. Took about 4 hours to get the house warm. Also very noisy if sleeping in the lower bedroom.
- There is a large dog at one of the neighbors that will bark if your dog is outside. Since the backyard is not fenced, you will have to leash your pet to use the bathroom. Did not notice much barking when inside.
- If you are staying longer, there is no washer/dryer.
- No coffee table in the living room to use for one of the many puzzles.

Our stay was great. The house had the right amount of space for the four of us. Very clean and well kept. Great walking path by the water. I will definitely be staying here again.

Loved being near the beach.
prashanth s.Oct 2020
Have to say Vacasa did a great job in cleaning and the amenities provided were at least 4 star. The house inside is actually updated and feels like a home you want to come back to after a long day.
The only star remaining would be if there was a fence in the front yard so it would feel safer for the pets.
Barbara E.Aug 2020
Spotlessly clean little house right by the beach. A bit dated but good as a stop for a small family enjoying the Redwoods.
William H.Jul 2020
We had a great time staying here. The nice bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, so that might be a problem for some. The views from upstairs are worth the climb.
Mary B.Jun 2020
Great location, short walk to the sandy beach. This place was very cute, had all the amenities we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
