Blue skies retro RV park was one of the most unique and special stays I have ever stayed in! All of the amenities and the entire resort was 1st class! The only thing I would change is the check in and check out time. Check in isn’t until 4pm and check out has to be at 10am. There is no personnel there to talk with you about an early/late check in/out times. However, this is an absolute MUST stay! 5 Stars all around! The outdoor shower was amazing!!
Manager response:
Hi, Colbey! Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Due to COVID19, we have had to change checkout and check-in times to give the housekeeping staff enough time to do a thorough clean and give the home some rest time between guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our home. We hope to host you again soon.

We loved our stay, the amenities, the views, the cozy Shasta. Will come back for sure.

We loved our stay here to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Dallas city life! We felt we were in a fun, Tim Burton-esque movie set with all of the 50s style decor.

The only thing we could have used to help the stay be a little more cozy is if there were tables and bowls for us to enjoy the food we brought. We didn't come to eat out at the local restaurants but simply stay in to enjoy the "glamping" aspect.

So maybe this is a better stay for those that don't bring their own food, unless they bring their own bowls/reusable utensils, and foldable tables. But we mostly had to eat from our laps! haha not a huge deal, just cumbersome.

We especially loved having the grill to use for our vegan burgers though and the amazing bathrooms with outdoor shower!

Two of us stayed in Miss Willie Mae. MWM was clean and well supplied with the essentials. Everything worked especially the heater as it rained both days. The assigned bathrooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The "retro" aspect that included the LP player might be better served with a small cooktop instead. This was especially true since we were in MWM more often due to weather.

Feels like Palm Springs in the middle of Texas in the 1950's. So cute and each trailer had a turntable with lots of records to choose from! Personal favorite was Roger Miller!

We had a great time! Thank you!

Staying with Miss Willie Mae was easily one of the greatest experiences I've had traveling in a long time! I've known about this place for years, but finally had the chance to book it and come...the only regret staying here is that I waited so long! Can't wait to come back, and can't wait to try out all of the other RVs in the resort!

We loved Miss Willie Mae. The camper was well appointed. Had everything we needed. Microwave, refrigerator & plenty of linens/blankets. We had a huge private bathroom & we also got to use the fireplace in the communal are. My family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed everything about this stay. We will definitely be back & would recommend to anyone interested in a relaxing vacation.

This was such a fun getaway experience, that resembled camping but with wonderful retro touches. The Palm Springs aesthetic is impeccable. It's a cozy little RV, but with a grand retro building a few feet away that offers an incredible (and spacious!) private bathroom. The location is perfect. You are out in the country with a field of cows in the distance, but Fredericksburg is only 15 minutes away.

Clean, cozy vintage RV on a fantastic property. Loved it! There is a bit of road noise (big trucks at all hours), but you get used to it. Only minor points for improvement would be real utensils for use in the RV, and a better propane heater in the outdoor shower. The pilot light kept going out, even after holding for 30 seconds... Made for a quick shower! I can't wait to visit again.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, April! We are pleased to hear that the home met your expectations! Thank you for making mention of items in the home that need some TLC. We take this feedback seriously and please know that local staff is available to assist with any issues you encounter while in the home. We hope to have the chance to host you again. Thank you!

The cutest fun little get away with friends. They have thought of everything. The Shasta's are adorable and cute. Plenty of space for 2. Great size fridge! Private bathrooms with awesome showers and dressing area were the perfect compliment to our little Shasta. The pool looked very cool, especially at night. The fireplace and grill area worked great for our group of 8. The big sky and farmland location made us feel like we were really getting away yet we were only a few miles from Fredericksburg and a fun hike at Cross Mountain. We will definitely be back! We are already talking about an annual trip!!!

Super cute and clean retro RV’s. The grounds were neat and clean and the concept is awesome. Was a fun getaway. Every detail was well thought out. They are a quick 15 minutes drive to Fredericksburg and close to enchanted rock also.

A unique experience. The trailers were very comfortable and well appointed. Enjoyed the swimming pool and pavilion. The outdoor showers were amazing. My friends and I had a wonderful weekend.

We loved Blue Skies! Great location, super close to downtown Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock. The amenities were awesome. It will be perfect for when it gets cooler!
Amber S. Aug 2020
Loved the stay! Do wish that the keypad was higher quality (you had to push the door in just the right way for it to work, and you could guess the code by looking at which keys were broken in). Also would have been nice if there was water to purchase, especially since there is a Keurig and the nearest gas station is 12 min away.
Mary Z. Jul 2020
We enjoyed it all! We found the peace and quiet so relaxing. We will definitely be back!
Kathy A. Jul 2020
Loved this place, remote, quiet, private and relaxing! Service and property was clean and cute! Will be back!
MONICA G. Jul 2020
This was a perfect spot away from the city and away from lots of people during this time. Fun and laid back and the personal chic bathrooms were a great addition. I have already recommended to many friends!

I booked this property for a recharging and restful vacation and got exactly that! Every thing about the property was lovely and just as good as the pictures! I had so much fun!

While on our mom-n-son road trip adventures, I love to find unique living experiences, and Blue Skies Retro Resort exceeded our expectations. The great text communications, to ease of booking and accessing the camper and private luxury bathroom. It certainly was a little paradise in the "boonies" as my son would say. We chose the red camper "Miss Willie Mae" because I had an Aunt Willie Mae and my son is a Patrick Mahomes fan! The attention to details from the essentials in the camper, to the matching interior design colors with each camper to each adjoining private bathroom. I personally could have put a cot in the bathroom! I loved having plants in the outdoor shower and huge palms trees alongside the bathrooms! I like that their are only 5 campers that make for an intimate setting, perfect size pool and sweet private lawns for drinking coffee while watching the deer. The night skies are brilliant with constellations unlike the city life. It's definitely worth the 5 hr drive to unwind, unplug and soak up this private haven. We chose this location for hiking at Enchanted Rock State Park. Lastly, I did a FB live to share this hidden gem with friends in hope of spreading the love! We'll certainly be back and my son can't stop talking about it.

We’re almost scared to tell anyone about this place because it was so awesome! Our family of 3 came out here after a day of hiking at the Enchanted Rock and we didn’t want to leave! The swimming pool was perfect and we loved showering outside followed by grilling in the community patio. We will absolutely be coming back (and would’ve stayed if there was availability).
Audrie S. Jun 2020
This place was exactly right for our little family of three. There’s plenty of space for social distancing between the other RVs, and the facilities and amenities are top notch.

We hope to utilize this little slice of Texas paradise again soon. Enchanted Rock is super close, and Pedernales Falls is a scenic country drive away.

The coffee and cream provided were a welcome convenience, and we saw lotsa beautiful flora and fauna, as well as a shooting star!

The bed was super cozy, and the a/c kept us cool in the heat of June. We can’t wait to come back.
Jonas L. May 2020
We spent a weekend here and had a wonderful time. The private bathrooms are super nice and we comfortably slept 2 adults and two small children in one of the larger trailers. Wonderful stargazing at night and our 3 year old enjoyed making smores around the chiminea. Even with other guests staying in the other trailers, there was plenty of space to social distance. There is a great burger spot(Pecan Grove) about 10 minutes away and Fredricksburg is only about 15-20 minutes. Can't wait to go back!
Amanda I. May 2020
Only 4 other Trailers at the resort so it’s super quiet and peaceful. Most of our stay we had the pool all to ourselves. We would definitely go back! Everything was very clean. The private bathroom is AMAZING!
Jeff P. Mar 2020
Retro vibe, ease of access, private suite-like restroom, chiminea, turf, acapulco chairs!

Blue Skies is such a beautiful and stylish resort. The owners have created a stunning and relaxing atmosphere. And the stars are beautiful at night! When you stay at Blue Skies Retro Resort, you will enjoy panoramic views of the countryside during the day and the stars and Milky Way at night!
Daniel R. Oct 2019
This is a beautiful, amazing place! The retro trailers are immaculate, comfortable and just put a smile on your face!
