Bright, pleasant, and decorated with a number of rustic accents, this contemporary condo offers ski-lodge sensibilities alongside plenty of modern conveniences. The cozy living room has a plush leather sofa and an armchair. Adjacent to this, there's a dining table with four chairs, and a nearby breakfast bar with three stools where you can enjoy morning coffee, a few board games, or a hot, home-cooked meal prepared in the full kitchen. The bright and efficient kitchen is packed with essential accessories, cookware, and appliances including a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave oven, coffeemaker, and a dishwasher to help you keep those dirty dishes in check during your stay.

The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the second bedroom has two twins. Upstairs in the loft, there's a sleeping area with a futon, and the living room sofa converts into a bed, as well. Your dog family members are also welcome to join you during your stay.

WiFi is provided, and for additional home entertainment options when you're not out racing down the slopes, there's a large, flatscreen cable TV with a DVD player in the living room to let you keep up with your favorite shows, watch the local news, or program some movie nights (and don't forget the popcorn)! There is also a shared, coin-operated washer/dryer on the second floor, so feel free to leave those bulky suitcases home! Book this mountain view rental today, close to the slopes and just minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe, and get ready for incredible outdoor adventures regardless of the season!

This two-bedroom skier’s paradise is just a short walk to the heart of the Village at Northstar where you can hop on the lifts to take you right up the mountain. Or stay in town and catch a movie at the Village Cinemas, shop in high-end boutiques, or dine in restaurants like Rubicon Pizza, Tavern 6330' for fresh California cuisine, or Mikuni at Northstar for superb sushi. While you'll likely be spending much of your time on the slopes if visiting during peak ski season, the NPOA (passes are included) is less than a mile away and offers a wide variety of shared resort amenities including four swimming pools, tennis courts, hot tubs, a dry sauna, fitness center, a game room rec center with badminton and video games, and playground. In winter, you can ski to the entrance of the condo when the parking lot has not been plowed, otherwise, it's only about 10 yards before you can put on your skis to ski to the lifts or ticket office in The Village! And during the warmer months, this home is just 12 miles from the northern shore of Lake Tahoe for fishing, boating, swimming, and lakeside picnicking. The NPOA Rec Center also has a nature trail, horseshoes, childcare (at both Rec Center and in the village), and a snack bar during the non-winter months.

So convenient! Everything was clean, worked well. Loved it
Terese E. Aug 2021
We just came back from a 5 night stay at this place in early August and were really hoping to be happy with our choice. We weren’t at all. First warning is to look at the pictures very carefully. What you will see is a small dark condo that has not been updated since probably the 50’s including the furniture and beds which were very shoddy and uncomfortable. The second warning is some of the furniture you see is simply not there - the futon that is supposed to be in the loft is actually in the living room instead of the comfy couch you see. It does seem that an appliance and electrical upgrade took place in the 90’s, leaving a huge fire hazard where the all the electronics are plugged in and a cable remote that should be in a museum. The condo is very dark drab and stuffy; the only thing that saved us was a huge noisy fan that we had to carry from room to room. As previously mentioned, the bedding and most of the kitchen utensils looked like they were bought at a thrift store about the same time as the 90’s upgrades.

We did get a laugh when we saw a sign to remove our shoes before stepping on some really old and dirty carpet. We did comply but kept our socks on to avoid catching anything. While I’m at it there were multiple lights that didn’t work, trying to turn off the shower is a horrifying experience - we kept expecting the faucet to break each time we yanked it with all our might. Sleeping on the futon in the living room was a nightmare given there wasn’t complete bedding for it and all the light and noise ion that area.

There were a couple of good things I must say. Location was about a 15 minute walk of the village, check-in and check out was quick and efficient and there was lots of parking given it was in the summer. Sadly, that’s all the good I could come up with. In conclusion, we now realize we could have stayed in a much nicer place in the same area for a lot less then we ended up paying for this outdated, shoddy dump.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Terese. We are so glad you enjoyed the location of this home but apologize for the details that were amiss. We are so sorry the furniture and beds did not meet your level of comfort. Many of the items in the home are antiques and of great value to the homeowner who enjoys sharing them with guests. We have made our local team aware of your concerns regarding the wiring in the home and an electrician has been hired to address any issues as necessary. We will be sure to schedule a deep clean of the carpets soon and replace the noisy fan. Thank you for letting us know there is room for improvement and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

This condo is a prime spot for mountain biking/trail running in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Really close to everything you need.
Che Cheng L. Mar 2021
No more hassle in the morning: no need to wait for entire family to get ready, no parking space hunting, no long line for the shuttle bus.

Just get out of the door, put on your snow gear, slide down the slope and boom, you are on of the early birds in the short line for the village express lift, before the weekend warriors crowd showing up.

Will definitely come here again.

BTW, this is a cabin, not a hotel suite so bring your own food/seasonings/magic recipes. They have a lot of utensils/pots/plates and a dish washer ready for you.

Loved how easy it was to get to the village lift and not have to worry about parking. Condo was spacious although the upstairs room was a bit loud with the heater.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating is it really needs new carpet. Otherwise, the accommodations were great.

Thank you all for the reviews. I always read them however rarely post. However I was in a "desparate" situtaion to find a place and took this condo as a last effort. The bed is horrible - the kitchen is minimally stocked. the pots/pans looked like they came from an old bachelor pad. no true bowls to speak of if you make a pot of soup ! and only 2 "large" forks.....plan on doing dishes after every meal if there are 4 people there. Bring knives...and bring cleaning supplies - other then a small bottle of dish soap, nothing to clean the counters (germs!!!). the carpet smells......I wouldn't stay here. Hopefully the owners will read the reviews and take care of this place. Location is the only thing it has going for it.
Manager response:
Maureen, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate your feedback about the kitchen supplies and carpet. We will make sure the local staff is aware so they may inventory items. We are very sorry to hear the beds did not suit your preferences. The mattresses are in good working order, but each guest has their own unique preference. We sincerely hope for the opportunity to provide you with another truly special vacation in the future!

The condo met all of our needs.

The apartment is practically ski in/out and only 5-10 minute walk from the village.

The apartment is pretty basic and worn inside though, which was a shame particularly given the high price charged.

Please note , the upstairs bedroom gets very light in the morning as the blind doesn’t work well and it is very noisy due to the heating system up there .

All the beds are uncomfy and linen pretty old/dated

There are no kitchen supplies for cooking , ie stuff like oil, herbs, condiments etc so if you plan to cook, bring everything. There was washing up liquid, kitchen towels, sponge etc - ie that kind of stuff.

We had fun, but just flagging things people might expect a bit more of, from a place like this.
Manager response:
Hi Mark, we are glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate your feedback and we will be sure to address this with the homeowner for their consideration. We look forward to hosting you again soon!

An easy walk to the village, with ski in-out access to condo run.
lisa s. Apr 2019
The location was great. Cabin was clean with all the utensils we needed. Just brought the food and our clothes. Would recommend we had a really good experience.
Maryia K. Dec 2018
Very comfortable and nice place at great location - close to lifts and Northstar village. We really enjoyed our stay there!
Curtis K. Aug 2018
Location was perfect! Had fun in Northstar. We'll be back
Andrew C. Apr 2018
His condo was a great location as you could hop on the slope just around the corner. It was clean and nice to have the 2 bedrooms plus a loft. The location was close to the village, but a bit far for our little kids to make the walk (3.5, 1.5 years old). Bring the basics for cooking as there was no food in the condo (salt, pepper, butter, oil, etc). Nice to have laundrey just across the hallway. Great condo!
mike c. Mar 2018
Excellent location easy in and out not a lot of stairs from the parking lot
Liberty J. Mar 2018
Basic but good
Sheri K. Jan 2018
You stay here for the location. When there is god given snow this is a ski in/out property, when Northstar has to resort to only man made snow, the runs near the condo are not covered (i.e. dirt) so it's not ski in/out with out a few hundred yards hike. This property is well stocked with towels, linens, kitchen tools and supplies are plentiful. If you plan on cooking and using knives be warned that they are all knives are serrated and dull. Cutting up carrots or other hard vegetables is almost dangerous with the knives at this condo. We have stayed with Vacasa in this area the past 4 years and their local management is getting better. This is the first year we didn't need to call about something missing. Well done Vacasa
Manager response:
We are glad to hear this guest enjoyed their visit. At this time the owner is not interested in replacing the knives. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
Rebecca S. Aug 2017
Condo is located under the Gondola to mid-lodge so there is a walk/hike to and from the village. Which we expected as we have stayed in these condo before.

When we arrived it had not been cleaned after the previous guest. Just an over site. Once I spoke to someone at Vacasa the cleaners arrived within 30 minutes and the 3 gals had it cleaned in no time. Vacasa handled it right away and refunded my cleaning fee.

It is a bit dated but clean enough and everything worked. The lighting in the kitchen and bedrooms was funky but it is the way most of the ski condos were built. Kitchen is stocked with the basic dishes, utensils and pot and pans. If you are cooking your own meals bring spices, oil, etc.

We would stay here again.
Thomas G. Jul 2017
Again appear to be cutting corners or else the cleaning staff is not well trained.
The fees added on were very expensive in comparison with the cost of the rental. Yet there is very little value added for those fees. It felt very much that Vacassa is more of a profit driven property management company serving the owners interests at the expense of hospitality to the guests. Unfortunate, but did not leave a good impression. I know the location very well and have stayed in many of similar units on the property. This was less than what I would expect at a Northstar/vail property. I am sorry, but I will not be recommending Vacasa to any property owners or guests.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see this guest was disappointed with their accommodations and experience with Vacasa. We will follow-up with housekeeping on our expectations of cleanliness. Thank you!
Anna R. Apr 2017
Perfect for ski in/ ski out, especially with kids.
Mike M. Mar 2017
We loved the ski in-ski out. We piled 3 adults and 4 kids in. Was tight but we made it work. Lots of hooks around to hang jackets, helmets, etc
Jorge B. Mar 2017
Condo is well-situated and clean. Everything works and it's a great place for a short stay.
Douglas N. Feb 2017
This was a great place to stay. Great location. The only thing that I would say, but no fault to the owners, that the walkway to the village was kind of hard to find. But since we stayed after the massive snow storm with 5 Feet of snow bank, it was understandable. I would stay at the place again.
Claire G. Nov 2016
Stayed there for 4 nights. Great location, somewhat dated condo with bare decor and minimum amenities especially in the kitchen such as coffee machine but no filters, salt and pepper but no other spices, no kitchen towels.

Needed parking pass that was not provided and got noticed that the car could be towed. Community center costs $2/day/person and that was not disclosed.

Condo is comfortable for a family of 4 but probably not more!
