Located in a secluded area a few miles north of Rhododendron, this home is in a prime position to enjoy everything nature has to offer. Clear Creek, a tributary of the Sandy River, flows right through the property, so you will be able to enjoy the peaceful babbling of the crystal-clear and cold creek as it courses downhill. Although you may feel like this home is in the middle of nowhere, a ten-minute drive will bring you to restaurants and grocery stores, and you will be within a pleasant 30-minute drive of the larger city of Sandy or skiing at Timberline Lodge.

This Rhododendron getaway is impressive-looking inside and out. As soon as you step through the front door, you'll be able to appreciate the the hand-crafted architectural details, as well as the large, open living space with huge east-facing windows to let in that prized morning sunlight. A sitting area arranged next to those windows provides another way to take in the amazing view.

Just past the sitting area is the living room featuring a 55-inch Smart TV with cable, a Blu-ray DVD player, and a library of DVDs to choose from. Surround-sound speakers line this space, making it a perfect place to watch an exciting movie together. More entertainment options in this home include family-friendly board games, WiFi Internet, and a telephone to stay connected. There is not cell phone service at the house and spotty in this area.

An open chef's kitchen with beautiful cabinets and gleaming stainless steel appliances will delight the cook in your group. And, with all major appliances plus a few extras like a waffle iron, blender, slow cooker, and mixer, you can cook up whatever your heart desires! A dining area has a lovely breakfast nook overlooking the back yard, plus a breakfast bar for additional diners. And out on the deck, you will have a deluxe, high-end gas grill - perfect for an afternoon cookout!

Throughout the living area are splendid, new hand-scraped Amish wood floors and lots of windows to let in sunlight. The master bedroom is also located on the main floor, which is ideal for anyone who may have trouble climbing stairs. This room contains a fabulous king-size bed, a 32-inch Smart TV with a Blu-ray player great for watching a late-night movie before drifting off to sleep, a brand new sliding door, and a wonderful bathroom. There you will find a walk-in shower and luxurious jetted tub, perfect for relaxing bubble baths.

Upstairs are two additional bedrooms, both with nice queen-size beds on beautiful wood frames (one of which has an additional 32-inch Smart TV with a Blu-ray player), plus another full bathroom. This home has plenty of space for six people to sleep comfortably.

In the garage you will discover a Ping-Pong table, a card table and chairs, and even an upright piano! Venture outside to see a new deck complete with plenty of seating for everyone to sit and enjoy the fresh air. Use the gas grill to cook up a lunch of burgers, or skip right to dessert and use the fire pit to roast up some s'mores for the group!

Rhododendron is a small town nestled among the trees at the base of Mt. Hood. About an hour east of Portland, travelers drive through Rhododendron on their way to visit the mountain. The town has a few great restaurants and a small grocery store, and nearby Welches offers more dining options and a great golf course. Sandy, just half an hour west, has a huge variety of restaurants and stores, plus a theater in case you would like to catch a movie on opening day.

With the spectacular Sandy River a couple of miles away from your doorstep, and fabulous lakes including Trillium Lake (20 miles away) and Timothy Lake (30 miles away), anyone who enjoys fishing, boating, or swimming will love it here! Some of the country's best hiking and biking trails are in this area, and of course, Mt. Hood's Timberline Lodge and Mt. Hood Meadows are about a half-hour away for amazing wintertime adventures.
