Extremely clean, almost everything advertised was as listed. Fully stocked with essentials, linens, etc. Kayaks and boats available as stated, although we didn't use them as we brought our own. Don't hesitate to book this house. Only a few items to point out for those future guests to whom they may be important:
1. The listing stated cable TV, but it was Apple TV, not cable. As such, we could only find live news on the CBS live news channel. Many of the other channels that we tried were not part of their subscription, but we weren't there to watch TV, so not a biggie.
2. The main floor with kitchen/livingroom is one floor up. There is no bathroom on the main floor, so lots of stairs. There was a nice large bathroom in the basement (actually ground level, the main floor is one floor up) and a jack-and-jill on the top floor (3rd floor) between the two bedrooms.
3. The 2nd bedroom on the 3rd (top) floor is an open loft, not a closed room. There is a trundle bed room on the first floor, but again, no bathroom on that floor, so challenging in the middle of the night. The basement (ground floor) has two bedrooms with bunk beds)
4. When you arrive, if it is dark, there are no lights on when you come in the door and there is a step down from the door. Then the alarm code is across the room and down a short hall. Vacasa gives you the alarm code, but you must also press "Off", which was not in the instructions and which was difficult to see. None of the alarm systems I've used required an On/Off press after the code, so I wasn't prepared, and the hall was dark. So we set off the alarm which then blared at us the police had been called. I called Vacasa, and they advised the police, who came anyway. The nice officer had already been called by Vacasa, so we didn't get arrested. The officer was a pleasure to talk to, so no harm done. Just be aware to try to find the "off" button, it is small and poorly lit. Have your cellphone flashlight ready when you first open the door.
We had a great time and loved the view and the area, so don't hesitate, you'll enjoy this house.
Hi, Ann! We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and let us know about your experience. The alarm will no longer be activated during guest arrivals, and housekeeping has been asked to make sure the entryway is lit. We will make sure the TV situation is more clearly outlined in the listing. Thank you!

We enjoyed this home immensely. The hundreds of feet of waterfront, the kayaks, the fall leaves around the lake and on the hills above were worth the long trip from Texas. The home renovations were well done (especially the kitchen) and the home was quite comfortable. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. We were close to everything; but, not too close.

This cabin has everything! We cooked a bunch there and they are stocked with much more than I am used to having at a rental. Enough canoes and kayaks on the property for a group or big family like mine. Everything was well described and easy to access. Given that you are on the end of a peninsula it felt very private. Plenty of games and Apple TV to keep the kids occupied if you have a rainy day or two. This place exceeded our expectations. I could see how this stay could be wicked fun in the winter too! Also with the location you are out of the bustle of tourist areas but only a 15 minute drive to tones of restaurants and 30 minutes or less to countless trail heads and points of interest.

We rented during the winter but can imagine the place would be ideal during the summer months given its positioning on the lake. Please note that one of the bedrooms in the loft is not enclosed so keep in mind depending on what sleeping arrangement is necessary. Great Kitchen, everything worked fine, fireplace is great. Enjoyed our time there.

The house was great. Very well maintained and had every cooking utensil you could want. Kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Being right on the beach was great with an enormous yard. They had plenty of kayaks, canoes and even a paddle board which was a big hit. The house also had TV's with Apple TV in most of the rooms, which can be helpful with small kids getting to bed. You could tell the owners take pride in their home and we loved it. It was absolutely the best house on the pond with views of the whole pond. One of our favorite things was around 3-4:00 pm each night having our beach chairs down at the beach until sunset. Beautiful!
