Outside, enjoy morning cups of coffee on the front porch as you settle into a bright blue Adirondack chair and read the paper. Behind the house your enclosed back yard is whimsical with a vine-covered pergola and ornate river-rock patio. Serve guests lemonade or mojitos under the shade umbrella on the porch, or fire up the grill for the perfect outdoor barbecue.
You'll never want to leave this cozy abode, but when you do, fun is right around the corner! Play doubles just five blocks away at the tennis courts at Camel's Back Park or rent stand-up paddleboards from Idaho River Sports to explore Quinn's Pond just two miles away.
In town, ride your bike along the Boise River Greenbelt, or stroll with your loved one through the Idaho Botanical Garden. Float the river at Barber Park or take kiddos to see the tigers at Zoo Boise.
Downtown is less than two miles away, boasting breweries, wine tasting rooms, and local cuisine! In winter, Bogus Basin is less than 16 miles away where you can enjoy a white Christmas or ring in the new year on the ski slopes.
Boise blends urban attractions with rugged outdoor charm and you've got it all at your fingertips at this gorgeous Boise & Garden Valley vacation rental!
We were 71 year old ladies, friends since childhood, who get together every year at a vacation rental in a different city. This years find was one of our favorites. The house is very well decorated, everything you need while traveling was there, it was very clean and on a spectacular avenue of Boise. Would highly recommend this vacation rental.
We stayed in the Harrison House the weekend that we moved our daughter into BSU. It was so nice to have a calm, clean and homey environment to come home to each night. We loved sitting on the porch and relaxing each evening before bed.
Stayed in this house for a wedding with kids and grandparents. Not only very comfortable and well-appointed, the house is also well laid out and spacious. Loved sitting on the front porch and under the grapevine-covered terrace. Hope to stay again sometime!
Beautiful neighborhood, close to parks, hiking, neighborhood dining, and downtown. House was perfect and had everything we needed.
We stayed over a long weekend during a family visit. It was wonderful to be able to walk to parks, restaurants, shops, and be very close to downtown. The kitchen was well equipped for family meals, the teens enjoyed the quirky touches of the old home like the laundry chute, creaking wooden floors, and neighborhood porch. As the organizer, I was very pleased with the ease of booking and getting in and out of the home. Plenty of linens and supplies for laundry, dishes, showers, etc. The only downside was no coffee in the cupboard for our first morning. We will definitely check availability here on our next return to Boise.
Wonderful home with lots of room for families and groups. Cozy bedrooms and a large kitchen. The keypad lock on the front door was easy to use (compared to some I've had to wrestle with). Furnished very nicely. Not a lot of window coverings, though. I highly recommend this home!
We enjoyed our staying during the Thanksgiving holiday. We thought the house was lovely. Would only be critical of that there is only one bathroom but other than that we had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was functional and the living room was cozy.
What a great home! The home decor is very lovely and upon entering it has a warm, welcoming feel. There's plenty of space all around and I look forward to coming back to the home in the future.
We loved this place, My husband and I met and married in Boise 34 years ago. We came back to visit. My husband lived in a home just a block or two from this outstanding home. Thank you for keeping is so close to its original style. Only one thing, if just one of the 7 or 8 clocks we counted had the correct time, that would be a great improvement.
Backyard with vined pergola.
The house was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We loved the neighborhood. It was within walking distance of parks, hiking trails, a grocery store and the restaurants in Hyde Park.
Absolutely loved this adorable home. It was very comfortable, beds perfect, nicely furnished and in a delightful neighborhood. We'll definitely stay here again!
Home was well appointed with a great location. Easy access to airport and all points out of town. Quick walk to downtown, parks and trails. Tranquil garden. Would stay there again
Great house. Lovely neighborhood. We had a great time.
I loved staying on Harrison Street, a beautiful tree lined street close to everything. I could walk to parks, shopping, restaurants. The house was furnished very nicely and very clean, comfortable and cute. Beautiful backyard for relaxing. Cable TV was a plus. Everything about my stay was perfect! This is definitely a home away from home. I look forward to returning.
House with style! We had teenagers that thought it was darling. The floors were super squeaky and would wake everyone up in the night. Smells old! Which it is! But charming!
We love this little home on Harrison Street! We have made it our home away from home when we visit Boise. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Very nice older home. Well appointed and comfortable. I would strongly recommend this property
We stayed in this home for a week, and it was absolutely wonderful. We had everything we needed for a very comfortable week in Boise. We will definitely sty again.
The house was really lovely and in a great locale. Property manager was extremely responsive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely updated, yet vintage home! It oozed charm and character and was quite cozy. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and nice for walks. Location of the home is awesome, with downtown and Boise State University only 5-7 minute drive. We felt right at home in this well-appointed and lovingly decorated historic house.
We loved staying at the Harrison house. The fire place was warm on cold winter evenings in December and the house was so tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and both town and hiking in the Boise foothills were within walking distance. We would come back.
The Harrison House was a wonderful place to stay in a historic Boise neighborhood. The home is walking distance to 13th Street, Camel's Back Park, and close to downtown. We had three generations of family gathered and it was the perfect place!
We had our immediate family stay here for our wedding in Boise. Our moms and cousins absolutely loved it, they felt like they were back in time because the house has so many beautiful tradition details. They were in heaven! I've almost never seen my mom so happy, the house took her back to her child hood...but the furntiture and details were as modern as you could ever want. It was the perfect place! Thank you!
Very comfortable, cozy and nicely furnished home on a beautiful tree lined street.
Shopping, restaurants and parks all within walking distance. Nice area to take long walks and enjoy Boise. Loved spending time in the peaceful, quiet backyard of this home too! Very much looking forward to returning.
This is a fabulous home with a wonderful location. The home is charming and all of the comforts of a warm home. Nicely decorated and livable. Such fun to enjoy a historic neighborhood. We will be back.
Outstanding location and a great art filled historic home in the Hyde Park area of Boise. Very well equipped kitchen. A second bath would have been nice, but no complaints. Highly recommend this home.
The house was so charming. The location was perfect for being close to all that we wanted to do. Five of us graduated high school together many yrs ago and this was perfect for our gathering.
2nd time we have stayed at the home and we will be back.
Special property. Perfectly updated and decorated. Thoughtfully stocked.
We were very close to out points of interest. Hiking was near (although it was very hot while were were there). Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds, and we really loved the old vintage home area. Quite at night as well.
Stayed here for business as all the local hotel rooms were sold out. I loved it! House, neighborhood, location - everything was perfect! Booking process was seamless. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
This home was perfectly located for our purpose in Boise. Within minutes of the downtown area with lots of local shopping and food to choose from. The home is in great condition. Very clean and well maintained. The porch is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. There were board games on hand that we enjoyed during our down time during our stay. Would definitely book this property again if we were to come back to the area.
We loved the old charm. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect location.
The home was a perfect size for our family of four. We had never visited Boise before and found the location of the home to be close to everything we wanted: Boise State, downtown, and the capital were all minutes away. Plus, a short drive up the mountain lead us to great skiing at Bogus Basin. The furnishings were quaint and comfortable and the appliances were modern and new. I would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.
Charming, clean home in the best part of town.
Can't wait to visit again.
This house is clean and very nice, but with very creaky wood floors. It only has one bathroom and to get to it you pass all the bedrooms on this very noisy wood floor. This was difficult for us with a young baby, and would be for a light sleeper as well. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay.
As future residents of Boise we have been staying in different areas through out the city and this by far was our favorite. The home was perfectly maintained and cared for making for a very welcoming and comfortable visit. Having 13th Street just a few blocks away allowed us time to really enjoy the neighborhood and experience the lifestyle of Boise. We will be back!
Enrich your Boise experience by feeling like a local in this adorable home on the beautiful tree lined street in the coveted north end.
This house was perfect for our girls trip of 4. The bedrooms were nicely sized and even though there was only one bathroom it was really large. The location was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay!
This place is like going back in time. I am a big fan of Victorians and I just loved the charm of it all. This street is amazing but it's quite busy, so you will hear traffic noise. All the houses in this neighborhood are adorable.
The home was in a perfect location convenient to all of Boise. The neighborhood seems to be one of the best in town is great for a little afternoon walk and convenient to downtown the airport and other area attractions. The home had all the modern conveniences while maintaining the historic integrity.
The Harrison House was cozy, inviting, and beautifully decorated. It was also white-glove clean with ample towels and kitchen supplies. We loved the location--rented cruiser bikes at Idaho Mountain Touring and biked to Hyde Park every day for coffee in the morning and ice cream after dinner. It's clear that someone has lovingly restored and decorated this home, and it was a pleasure to spend four days there. Reservation, check-in, and check-out process were smooth and easy--love the digital guestbook!
This classic home is clean, cozy, and in a beautiful neighbourhood. It was fun to see all the people out walking dogs and riding bikes. The timeless sound of an ice cream truck in the distance made staying in this period house unforgettable.
My husband and I made a trip to Boise for a mix of fun and business, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice of the "Harrison House."
I'm not really sure where to start, so I'll start at the beginning. The reservation process via Vacasa was smooth and the level information provided about the home and surrounding area was very detailed.
If you're not familiar with Boise, and we weren't before our visit, Harrison Blvd is THE place to be. It is an historic, beautiful street with a greenbelt and stately homes. We felt very safe and comfortable walking the neighborhood, which I recommend doing. Harrison Blvd and nearby Hyde Park are great places to explore. There are shops and restaurants to visit, and Camelback Park, with its hiking and biking trails, is within walking distance. It is a very pedestrian and bike friendly area. In fact, I would say all of Boise is like that.
Harrison Blvd is also very close to downtown. It's probably a 5 minute drive, and you could easily bike there if you chose. Downtown Boise is full of independently run restaurants, pubs and shops. Lots of activity...even on the weekends. The residents are very friendly and love to give visitors pointers on where to eat and what to see. Very cool vibe.
The house itself was awesome! When you first walk in the door, it has a peaceful, comfortable feeling. The furnishing are perfectly matched with the era of the house and lend to its warmness. Some rentals have a cold, generic feeling, but this one has loads of fine touches and attention to detail that make you feel right at home.
The kitchen is well equipped. Everything you'd need to prepare a meal. The appliances are new. Truth be told, I returned home with refrigerator-envy. Washer/dryer and detergent/softner on site, quite convenient.
The beds, pillows and linen were incredibly comfortable. We slept great! I never sleep great when I travel. The towels were soft, fluffy and plentiful. A BIG plus in my book.
All in all, we sincerely enjoyed our time in the house, on Harrison Blvd and in Boise (which, by the way, is pronounced Boy-see by those who live there). We highly recommend staying at the "Harrison House" and exploring all the area has to offer.
We just returned from a relaxing week in Boise and could not have been more pleased with our stay at Harrison House. It's wonderfully appointed, clean, and comfortable and we truly felt at home. Our kids cried when they had to leave! You really can't beat the location if you want to enjoy all that the city has to offer. It's a beautiful property and we can't wait to visit again...
I may be biased because we have stayed here before, but we love this house! It is such a wonderful environment, and in a great area. The street is so beautiful, and all of the surrounding homes are also beautiful.
This home is on the historic Harrison Street, so it is not in downtown, but close enough (10 minutes), if you need to get there. The home has everything you'll need, and you also won't want to leave. Our next stay in Boise, will definitely include this house.
Wonderful home. My husband, daughter, and I stayed here multiple times during the fall/winter while he was working in Boise. This home has so much charm, and really is set up wonderfully. Everyone (property owners and property management) are so nice and accommodating, and we will be back!
My husband, daughter, and I are in Boise for more of an extended work trip, and we came across this home. It is AMAZING. All of the little details of the home were very wonderful, and made it a very inviting and comfortable environment. The location is great, it is right on Harrison Blvd., which is a beautiful street. Close to shops, parks, and downtown is a couple of miles away.
This home had everything you would need, right down to the nice kitchen supplies.
The property manager was so wonderful, with all of his help and communication.
It truly is worth every penny, and I can't wait to go back to this home.
