Cozy lakefront log cabin w/ lake views, a wood stove, vintage decor, & dock.

Situated on the western shore of Flathead Lake near picturesque Rollins, this mountain and lakeview cabin will put you in a vacation state of mind. This two-story finished log home has space for four to relax beside the wood stove, picnic outside by the firepit, or launch a boat from the provided slip.

If you have a sturdy boat, take it out to Wild Horse Island for a day hike and be on the look out for big horn sheep and deer. To the northeast of the home is downtown Bighorn, a charming western village. If you're looking for a little culture, Bigfork Summer Playhouse offers classic live musicals for the whole family. And, throughout the area close by are gorgeous trails and parks for winter and summer adventures.

Built in 1967, this log bungalow offers 600-square feet of cozy comfort. A mix of modern furnishings and retro touches welcome you. As the antique-style wood-burning stove warms the living room, you can sink into the plush couch and watch a favorite DVD or simply enjoy the sun-drenched view.

Off to the side of the living room is the well-appointed kitchen with well-loved wood cabinetry and avocado green appliances. Equipped with the basics you need to fix a family meal, the kitchen also lets you socialize with guests in the living room or at the six-seat table by the windows.

After a day exploring Glacier National Park, you'll find a nice place to rest your head. Pick from the queen bed on the main floor bedroom or get cozy in the loft with two double beds. The first floor offers one-and-a-half bathrooms, one of which boasts amazing vintage wallpaper!

While the wood stove will come in handy during winter vacations, the air conditioner will add to your comfort during hot summers. During those warm summer days, take out the canoe for a paddle on Flathead Lake or sip lemonade on the grassy lawn. Host a cookout with the gas grill and chat until dusk over the firepit.

A big draw in the area is, of course, Glacier National Park, about 60 miles to the northeast. See some of the most gorgeous sights in the country among the northern Rocky Mountains, from wooded trails to clear lakes. For snow enthusiasts, Whitefish Mountain Resort is about 50 miles to the north for skiing and snowboarding. Outdoors lovers will find a true haven here.

Bring a few friends or your small family to stay at Snug Harbor for your next Montana vacation!

Perfect size. Right on the water. Nice yard to play games on. Awesome lake views.

Excellent location, and right beside the water, with lovely water scenery views. Nice and helpful hosts.
Two parking spots, so room for the SUV and boat trailer.
Upstairs AC works well, but is loud.
Couch and chair are both old, and springs are worn out, and should be replaced, as they were uncomfortable to sit in.
Internet Extender unit was not working, so the internet in the cottage was limited to the dining room / kitchen area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Snug Harbor! We were warmly greeted by Sam, Holiday and their sweet yellow lab, Burr. What a cozy, cabin on gorgeous Flathead Lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. The cabin sits right on top of the lake with a lengthy walkway from dock to dock where we enjoyed jumping and fishing from. We stayed end of June/early July. They had just had snow two weeks prior in Glacier (hour away), so the water was chilly...but refreshing. The expansive lake is so beautiful and clear. The pictures of the cabin were a good representation of it. It reminds me of what a cabin should be... nothing super fancy, but cozy with all the essentials. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our boys enjoyed having the loft to themselves.
It was wonderful to have the paddle boat, canoe, floats and life jackets available to us. We fished on and off throughout the day - casting from the dock. My husband even caught a perch! There are lake trout to be caught - further out where it's deeper. We rented a jet ski from Matt at Boat Rentals and Rides. It was a 25 min ride across the water to the cabin - easy to navigate along the highway/shoreline. We also had the benefit of Hunter visiting his parents. We had a wonderful evening with their family out on the lake. Each night we enjoyed smores over the fire pit. We loved ending our days sitting out there with the fire enjoying the cool MT evenings.
Sam and Holiday are constantly cleaning the property and watering the plants. The yard is pristine. They are personable but really respect your time and privacy too. We enjoyed our chats when we saw them. They couldn't have been better hosts. They were very helpful regarding hikes and how to navigate Glacier National Park. My boys already asked when we can go back to the cabin.
You have wonderful hikes nearby (Jewel Basin outside of Kalispell) and stunning Glacier National Park is only an hour away. Wow! We saw 8 bears (incl 1 grizzly bear), mt goats and big horned sheep. It's breathtaking. Great hikes too. Polson (Flathead Lake) and Whitefish (ski resort and lake) are great towns to visit as well. Make sure you try everything huckleberry (it's everywhere - smoothies, shakes, pulled pork, pancakes, licorice, etc.).
We cannot wait until our next visit to Snug Harbor. I would love if we could make it a yearly trip. It was just what we needed - rest, relaxation, lake time, mt scenery, cozy cabin and great hosts to visit with.

Beautiful cabin situated right on Flathead Lake. I travelled with my kayak and was able to keep it on the private dock. Jumping in and out of the water at my own leisure. There were many meals cooked on the bbq and enjoyed on the picnic table. It is a large lot with space to enjoy campfires, store your own wood etc. We also travelled with mountain bikes, had more then enough storage space. The yard was well manicured and was a pleasure to enjoy from lawn chairs or on a large blanket spread out. An amazing place to reset and reconnect.

We drove over from Great Falls only to be greeted by amazing views around every bend. The water was a bit refreshing for this Florida family, but the owners let us use their water toys to experience the lake, which is crystal clear, with the smoothest rocks we've ever seen. The cottage had everything we needed and even more! One evening they took us on a boat ride to show us amazing history around the lake. Despite the fires and smoke coming from the Park we couldn't have asked for a better get away. We look forward to returning soon!!

The cabin was cute and had a beautiful view of the lake just steps away. Every window had a view of the lake and the paddle boat and canoe were so much fun. My whole family fell in love with it and can’t wait to come back. The owners were so sweet very welcoming.

It was perfect vacation during staying the house!!

Loved the views, fishing from the dock, fires in the fire pit, everything we needed was provided, owners are friendly and helpful.

We just love the cabin, where it's located and the neighbours (both 2 & 4 legged). MT is a great place to visit.

We stayed for 6 nights and didn't want to leave. The cabin has a big yard, a fire pit, a BBQ, and wifi... but it's best asset is its location directly on the lake! There is a private dock, a small boardwalk, and a boathouse with a canoe and paddle boat. They owners live across the street and we're super helpful when we had questions, but otherwise left us to enjoy our relaxing stay. We are already trying to figure out a date to return!

We stayed for 5 days. The home/yard was excellent with such a great deck overlooking flathead lake. My favorite place I've ever stayed.

This place is great and as advertised.

We loved our stay in the little red house. The owner was wonderful! My kids had so much fun jumping off the dock, swimming, using the peddle boat and canoe. Wish we could've stayed longer.
