This charming home was right on the beach. It was clean and big but also warm and cozy. Great views from almost every window.
The home was large and had an amazing view of the ocean. This is an older, kitschy home with lots of knick-knacks. It was a bit of a challenge with a toddler. The home is conveniently located and private feeling.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware, but there were no basics like cooking oil or spray, or any type of foil or plastic wrap for food storage.
Each bedroom had its own bath which was nice. One of the rooms had a very large tub but the hot water only lasted long enough to put a few inches of water in it which was disappointing. The lack of hot water was also a problem when it came to shower time after the beach as it would run out quickly and people would have to wait to shower. Also, there was only one towel provided per every guest which was difficult as we needed towels for the beach and for shower time.
Although the beach view was spectacular there was a little bit of a walk over sand dunes that could be challenging for an elderly person or someone with physical challenges.
The hot tub was also very small, no more than two people.
Despite the drawbacks my family really enjoyed the house and our weekend there.
The house was nice and was in good working order. Checking in and out was easy. The location was absolutely the best part!
Plenty of room for 3 couples and a kid. The adults had to take turns on the bunk beds, as there are only 2 master suites. Everything was clean and in good shape, though.
The layout is great for everyone to get together, and for small groups to break apart and visit. The walk to the beach is somewhat more rigorous then expected from the photos.
Overall, very welcoming and comfy spot, would absolutely rent again.
We had a small family reunion which included 4 generations (ages 2-80) and the house accommodated us all with ease. We were also able to park our small travel trailer in the large parking area for extra sleeping space. The decorations are quirky and dated but clean and it was fun looking at all the old stuff. The hot tub was out of order but we survived since some of our group had rooms at Driftwood Shores and they were kind enough to let us all use their pool room. We were there during really windy days and the fog in front of the house was so thick you couldn’t even see the ocean but when we drove just a couple miles north or south it was sunny. Honeyman Park was wonderful! All in all it was a wonderful trip and the house is a very good rental in a convenient location.
We had a wonderful two week stay to enjoy walks on the beach, beautiful ocean views and amazing sunsets. The house was spacious, clean and the kitchen was well equipped to enjoy meals at home. However we found we enjoyed eating out at the many local eateries. The house is well located for day trips to locations such as Charleston Harbor (Shores Acres or Sunset Beach), Newport (aquarium), Depoe Bay (whale watching), etc. After a day of sightseeing a good book, a comfortable bed and the sounds of the surf made for a goodnights sleep. We would love to do it again.
This is a well appointed, well maintained home with easy beach access and view. Really enjoyed our weekend stay.
This home is right on the beach, and has some great amenities (ocean views, good WiFi, comfy beds, bunks for up to 4 kids, ping pong table). There's a hot tub in the garage, which ideally would be outside, but we're not really hot tub people so it didn't matter to us. I would definitely come back.
We stayed here with friends from Denmark. We saw whales spouting, porpoises leaping, waves roll in, and our kids leaping off of sand dunes - all from the kitchen counter while preparing meals, etc. Amazing! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable too and we slept to the sweet sounds of the waves crashing. The beach was so close that kids could come and go from the house as needed... or we could just sit on the porch and soak in the beach...or inside and still feel like we were right there if the sun disappeared. Thank you for making such a wonderful space to be and rest and make memories together! We hope to stay here again in the future. PS - the boys LOVED the snooker table and there was pretty much a constant game of Snooker or Ping Pong going on the entire time they were inside the house.
We had a getaway weekend for 8 ladies and enjoyed this spot immensely! Plenty to do inside and out - easy access for wonderful walks on the beach, TV so we could cozy up and watch the Olympics, and short drives to hikes or town. Plenty of room for all of us. Spot is very quiet...except for the crashing of waves! In and out the garage was a great option for sandy walkers. We'd definitely stop here again!
Enjoyed are stay had great weather
The home is welcoming. It has lots of great spaces to relax, enjoy surf watching, and just relax. The games and family areas are nice. The big TV in the living room and the one bedroom is a plus. All the channels provide you an opportunity to enjoy a good movie when the sun goes down. the internet was a plus. We enjoyed the board games and puzzles.
The kitchen is nice and big with lots of room for cooking and sharing meals together.
We did a treasure hunt with all the decorations to find our favorite treasure. The house definitely has some love to share. The decor reminded us of a 1980's doll house but with lots of room to enjoy each other and space to relax alone.
A wonderful place to just hang, tell stories and create memories.
We will return.
This house was more than I expected, very open, a lot of seating, very big walk in closets in two of the rooms, also had two single fold out cots that we were not aware were there and sofa in living room is hide a bed. View from the windows is gorgeous, there was plenty of room for everybody in our party. It was a very nice feature to have bathrooms and showers attached to each Bedroom. We were able to get Two trucks one with 20' trailer and one with 24' up driveway and parked one would have to come in first and get turned around but worked out great, I know this was one of my main concerns when renting this house as we came to play at the dunes. Hopefully this will help with feature guests.
6 friends from kindergarten and I had a fabulous time at this wonderful home. The 3 bedrooms are very large, the beds and sitting areas are very comfortable and each bedroom
has its own private and spacious bathroom. The view of the Pacific is quite grand from 2 of the bedrooms, a sitting area and the kitchen. The home is well established with games, mini pool table and ping pong table.
The kitchen is a delight for cooks and non cooks alike with a breakfast bar and large dining area to keep all close. 7 of us stayed at the home but due to the house’s layout we were not “tripping” over each other. We had plenty of space to sit together or apart. The recliner and couch are quite comfortable while the secondary loveseat, chair and chaise are all wicker. They have cushions but, well, we definitely preferred the couch and recliner. There are steps, that go straight down and up a dune, from the deck to the dunes but we preferred the short drive/walk to the parking lot by the hotel for the beach access as 2 of my friends have sight issues and one has mobility issues. I highly recommend for families, friends or 2 couples with kids or 3 without. The Deck is fantastic and allowed for great views and a wonderful relaxation area. There is a private 2 person hot tub in the garage.
Right on the beach. Great house for a family vacation.
Management was very helpful. The alarm went off when we got there and we were helped promptly to turn it off. We loved the house and all of its character. Such a fun walk to the beach through a little section called the "hobbit trail".
What an awesome house and location. Traveling from Montana to stay here was beyond a dream come true. Thanks to the owners and Vacasa!
The cottage was amazing with lots of space and fully equipped. Great beds and the house was so clean. The view was amazing!
Nice house poor cleaning
We sincerely apologize if housekeeping was not up to our standards for this reservation, and we will be sure to follow-up with housekeeping regarding the matter. Thank you!
Beautiful ocean views from both downstairs and upstairs! House easily accommodated our 8 adults + 1 child.
Loved that each bedroom upstairs had their own private bathroom.
Beach access from the house is challenging but easier access to the beach for those with walking issues is within a short drive in either direction of the house.
Stairs in the house were too steep for my elderly mother (who suffers with back and leg issues) but the couch makes into a bed so she had a place to sleep without navigating the steps each day. (Hideabed was so-so on the comfort level).
Weather was sunny and beautiful but the north wind was cold and relentless when we visited. The south side of the house has a small deck on it and it was a little slice of paradise! Sunny, warm and protected from the wind! Perfect place to soak up the rays and relax!
So relaxing and liked being able to walk to the beach. A million dollar view every day!
We had a cousins reunion with 2 from Norway. Everyone had there own space and bathrooms. It was a great experience for all. Kitchen was well stocked for our needs and the home seemed to have everything you would need at the coast.
The property has the most amazing views of the ocean! Truly gorgeous! It is a great value for the view and house.
When my boyfriend and I arrived at the property, we were perplexed by all of the odd figurines, random antique wall adornments, and the very good condition the house was in for being obviously furnished and set up in the 80's. We were a little freaked out at first but after surviving the first night, we lined up the figurines as our audience, while we played Jenga and cards.
House was beautiful and being able to walk out on the deck after a full day of work to hear the Ocean waves was so relaxing. A must stay we will go back again.
Large family house with fabulous view from every room and great central location. All amenities provided. Well planned living area, large kitchen, and activities for kids. Beach access steps away.
