After a refreshing night's sleep, go for a morning stroll along the shores of Neawanna Creek, or make your way to Gearhart Ocean State Park for beachcombing and a picnic lunch. Head to Seaside for an afternoon of shopping, and be sure to stop by the Seaside Aquarium to learn more about Oregon's coastal ecosystem.
If you brought hiking boots, spend a day exploring the trails at Ecola State Park and enjoying picturesque views of Tillamook Head. This house was PERFECT! We had 7 adults for our organizations leadership retreat. We will definitely rent again! Zero complaints!
This spot is perfect for large groups. I took a group of artists there for a retreat and everyone had a great time. I do have a few suggestions: Vacasa doesn't provide enough toilet paper, laundry detergent or paper towels for a house this big. So bring extra! Also the can opener and the wine openers are old and broken. Also - the upstairs does get cold, so bring extra bedding and arrange fans to circulate warm air. Otherwise, this place is great.
This house was great for our large group of 11 adults, 3 kids, and 2 babies - with tons of room to spare.
Our group loved this place! There was so much room to spread out. We loved everything about it, including water facing lawn, huge gas fireplace, huge kitchen, couches and lots of bathrooms. We can't wait to go back.
The lodge is well taken care of and well provisioned. It was low-key but it was perfect for our group…
9 friends had a great time in this spacious home. It has so much room for everyone to sleep and plenty of bathrooms! The grounds are beautiful and spacious.
The size and number of beds is great for our group. The Lodge has everything stocked that we could ever need
Grandkids loved the large living room and large lawn where they could gather and play games. Pleasant, quiet location in Gearhart.
A wonderful house if you have people who love to cook - the Lodge at Little Beach has a well-stocked kitchen. Lots of pots, two stoves, two refrigs, etc.
We had 18 and this is a great place for kids and families
Perfect for a business retreat. Lots of twin beds which made it so easy to sleep colleagues. The kitchen couldn't have been better stocked - two stove/oven combos, two dishwashers, four toasters, two large coffee makers ... so much! The living space was enormous and laid out in such a way that there was comfortable work/planning space. The outside grounds were beautiful. While the walk to the beach was longer than we expected, it was a good outside connection time with colleagues and the beach there is spectacular.
The entire house and property was exceptionally clean, well stocked, and well organized. We particularly enjoyed the BarBQ in the back yard. Convenient and adequate parking. Plenty of space. The piano, even tuned. Thank you. The gracious and most helpful caretaker. The available games. Very good supply of cooking utensils, plates, table service, the two very clean refrigerators. And on and on. It was a most lovely setting for our annual family shared vacation with adult children and all grandchildren, now essentially all teens. They had a great time too.
We loved the set back in time home. All our kids walked in and said "it smells like home". Loved it.
Have had the opportunity to attend a retreat here 19 years in a row. It always feels as if I am coming home. Great place to stay with a group.
The ladies loved this clean, quiet home. It had great space for all 15 of us to gather around the table or the hearth. Kitchen was well stocked with all things needed for cooking/serving, ample fresh towels for the bathrooms, and the bedroom mattresses were newer. The management was friendly to work with: I toured the house prior to renting, as well, they allowed early check-in.
This is such a gem of a house--open beams, custom windows, HUGE gas fireplace, with lots of kitchen space and eating space! Our group of 18 women--multi-generational--loved our weekend retreat in the Lodge. The house was comfortable for all of us, while still feeling cozy. We will be back!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Lodge! The backyard was huge, and my kids spent so much time out there flying kites. There was so much room for everyone we had staying there. And the kitchen is packed with appliances and anything that you might need! The beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was easy to operate, and we really enjoyed using it in the evenings. Overall, we were so happy to stay here. We will definitely be going back next year!
We loved this house! The kitchen is the best stocked of all the 30 large houses we have rented. It has plenty of room for us to be together in the dining room, also in the living room. Best of all is the beautiful 6 ft. gas fireplace with lots of sofas around it - we spent a lot of time there just enjoying each other's company! Beds are super comfy, and the area is so quiet that sleeping is easy.
This home was perfect for a multi-generational gathering. Lots of room, clean, everything you could need for cooking for a large group, and a walk to the beach is only blocks away. I highly recommend it!
The Lodge in Gearhart, Oregon is a blast from the past. Sing around the baby grand piano to be whisked away to the 20's. Whip up a hearty meal in its spacious kitchen and pantry as if you were eating dinner with the Cleavers in the 50's. Light the grand fireplace in the living room carpeted with long, burnt orange shag from the 70's. All of the wood - exterior siding and interior paneling looks turn of the 20th century. Blast from the past but clean and comfortable.
The Lodge is situated with an amazing view of the river, the head and in the distance, Haystack Rock and Ecola Lighthouse on its little rock island. Children and dogs will love the trails through the dunes and pine toward the beach. Spy two blocks away the local herd of elk - about 20 with 2 mature bull elk.
Perhaps the best feature is the management - Vacasa. The staff works to think of everything and provides thoughtful touches. Va = vacation and casa = Spanish for house.
We weren't on vacation - Evergreen Presbyterian Church Annual Officers' Retreat - all work, no play - perfect setting for our business. So much better than a sterile conference room in a hotel.
The house is very comfortable and accommodating of groups of people. The large fireplace was especially enjoyable, as was the beautiful scenery and setting and proximity to the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped for holiday cooking -- with two stoves, two refrigerators, and two dishwashers. We had a wonderful time.
Many bedrooms and many bathrooms made everyone comfortable on our stay, plus great sunsets!
Our group has come to this Lodge every year at this time for about 10 years we love it. We want to come into 2018
Simply put, there was room for everyone!
This lodge has a very laid back vibe. The older construction and style gives a very warm feel. With a big fireplace on the main floor and plenty of seating, people can gather together and visit. Plan on pairing up in vehicles, as the property is limited to 7 vehicles, including those just visiting.
The set up of multiple beds upstairs is very ideal for a large group of kids; and they have their own bathrooms too. The back yard was spacious, but wish they had a fire pit to enjoy the ambiance. With the quiet neighbors, this makes it difficult to keep the volume down when there's a large group utilizing this house. We didn't realized that there's actually a curfew at this place. A beautiful and secluded beach; away from the typical tourists and visitors. The travel to the beach is quite the distance; it would be a very long and challenging trek for families with little kids. You're better off to drive to the beach. No doubt a very corky and cool place for a large group. The house has a lot of character.
If you are looking for a place to stay away from the city of but still within reach and being able to get to the attractions Seaside Oregon has to offer, you must stay here!
I think the best way to describe this house would be a modest midwestern country farm house. It is not a luxurious and the house shows some signs of aging, but everything was clean and felt like a home that has been well maintained with care. Overall, it was an inviting place. I was traveling with my parents and due to their age and health, I had hoped for a little more luxury and finer amenities, but if I was traveling with just my kids or my siblings, this house would have been perfect.
I ofent travel with multiple families and stayed in other large homes, but this one really stands out. I think this house might have been a Bed and Breakfast before. The backyard it big enough to hold a decent size wedding and it is beautiful. The kitchen isn't particularly large, but it is designed to feed a lot of people. We had five people cooking in the kitchen at the same time without feeling cramped. With two stoves, two refrigerators, and a large island, you can prepare a lot of food for a lot of people very quickly.
An excellent property to enjoy my children and grandchildren. A perfect stay!
Had a great time at the house. Cool backyard with a grill. Nice big kitchen for cooking for the group. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay here, the only damper was no direct beach access like the other houses next door. We had to walk couple of blocks to get to the beach.
Nice house for multi family/friends stay!
