Sip on a drink and discuss tomorrow's itinerary as you listen to one of the CDs you brought along. If you can't remember how much fennel goes in the recipe, bring up the laptop with the free WiFi and check the recipe. And don't forget: Sunriver's high desert climate will afford you plenty of opportunities for a barbecue, sizzling hot off the gas grill on the deck.

Bring the bike and your hiking stamina over to Deschutes National Forest, less than 10 miles to the east, where you can spend the day hiking and cycling among some incredible scenery. Or, make a picnic lunch and head over to Fort Rock Park. Also, there are plenty of shops and galleries to visit in The Village at Sunriver where you can also sit down to a great meal at one of Sunriver's seven places to eat and enjoy a sundae at Goodies, Sunriver's landmark ice cream shop.
