The best house we could have asked for. So close to downtown shops and restaurants yet very private and ultimately the most relaxing vacation home. Open the back doors to enjoy the afternoon sun and live jazz music playing at a nearby restaurant. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Orcas!

Overall this was a great place in a super location, and we enjoyed it. Its convenience to town and the pleasant outdoor space are the main pluses. We were wowed at first by the decor and the aesthetics of the timberframe cabin, but after staying a couple of nights, we perceived some major drawbacks to the design. Chief among them is that the bath and toilet are not separated from the bedroom, and with the cabin being one big room, that means zero privacy. Woe betide you if your companion has any gastrointestinal upset while using a bathroom with no walls. Second is that the kitchen is designed more for beauty than function. No dining table, little prep space, half of the shelf space is 8 feet up…etc. So, plan to hang out but not cook a 5-course meal.

We so enjoyed our stay at this little getaway. Our friends were camping nearby in Moran State Park but we needed a real bed and access to daily showers.

The home is up on a hill, making it quiet and private, yet just a few steps from everything in Eastsound. The decor is minimalist but the home includes everything you need and is well stocked with towels and bedding. The house is super clean.

The bedroom/bathroom area can be closed off from the living room/kitchen area by two barn doors. This leaves a plexiglass window that looks from the kitchen sink into the bedroom but you can hang something on the rod to make it more private.

If you wouldn’t be comfortable going to the bathroom in the same room (separated by a cloth screen) as your roommate laying in the bed nearby, you may not be into this place. But the bathroom can be closed off if the other person is in the living room/kitchen.

We will definitely stay again.

The place was just as the images showed. Definitely a cool modern vibe. The little details in workmanship were adorable. Loved having a kitchen we could use as well as the quiet peaceful location just steps from town. Wished it had a little more in terms of details about the area, some basic kitchen things like spices, sugar, etc. and the bed is that hard memory foam most people like (just not my cup of tea). Honestly though that is more knit picking than anything as the quiet location is just perfect.

I appreciated the proximity to town. I didn’t mind the doorless bathroom/jockeying around doors for privacy. The place felt open, bright and clean. We had everything we needed. The only thing that would have made it better is a better coffee set up for the early ferry ride mornings.

One large room with dividers, our type of place for just the two of us. Easy walk into town and back, but still felt out in the woods.

We loved staying here, especially with the proximity to the downtown area and local parks!
