Garden View, Ground-Floor Condo w/ Lanai & Shared Hot Tub/Pool - Walk to Beach!

With views of the surrounding garden property from the living room, both bedrooms, and the private lanai, this ground-floor condo at Ke Nani Kai offers a relaxing escape on the serene west side of Molokai. Step inside to find a thoughtfully upgraded living space with a fully appointed kitchen (including a stainless steel French door refrigerator), a dining area, and a living room that flow into one another. Glass doors open to the shady lanai and the landscaped grounds just beyond, where you can sip tropical cocktails as the day's swimsuits spin in the private washer/dryer. Enjoy newly renovated bathrooms, a cable-equipped 60-inch flatscreen TV, WiFi service, and shared amenities that include an outdoor pool, hot tub, and tennis courts - all within a few minutes' walk of the beach!

What's nearby:
Ke Nani Kai is a lovely property located on the west side of the island of Molokai, with grounds that include a large outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, two tennis courts, gas grills, lounge chairs for sunbathing, and tables for al fresco meals. It's about a five-minute walk down an access road to Kepuhi Beach, which is great for surfing in the winter months, ideal for swimming and snorkeling come summer, and the site of many paddle races to Oahu. You'll also be a short stroll across the old golf course from Papohaku Beach, one of the longest beaches in the state of Hawaii with waters that are rough in the winter but calmer for ocean swimming in summer. Ke Nani Kai is a half-mile stroll from Make Horse and its many tidepools, six miles northwest of the town of Maunaloa (the only town on the west end), and 19 miles west of Kaunakakai, where most grocery stores, art/gift shops, mini markets, restaurants, and equipment rentals are located.

This arid west side of Molokai, just 12 miles from the airport, is known for having less rain than the east side of the island. And the island-wide evening quiet hours make Molokai perfect for romance, families, solitude, and experiencing a glimpse of the real Hawaii away from the tourist crowds.

Clean, spacious and peaceful!

Ok place to stay, but rough. Curtains don't work. Mostly off hooks, just sagging. Screen door not on hinges and couldn't open slider. Mold in bathroom shower, small hole in wall behind door in "master" bathroom. "Master" not even a seperate bedroom. Ok pots n pans. No griddle or frying pan without ridges. No rice cooker. Bring everything with you like Sarahan wrap, foil, ziplock bags, 8"x8" or 9"x13" foil pans, TP, garbage sacks, dish soap, laundry soap (pods work great) & dryer sheets.
Manager response:
Hello Leisa, thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We apologize if you felt the home was not on par with our cleanliness standards. We would have been happy to address any areas in need of additional attention during your stay had we been notified. We appreciate our guests' preferences as a means to improve and we have forwarded your comments along to our property management to consider in the future. We truly hope we can host you for a more comfortable stay in the future.

We loved that it was clean with a very pretty view of the hills and trees. Screens needed replacing - kept falling off, needed more cooking equipment, and the condo is fairly dark. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
Manager response:
Thank you, Diane, for your review! We are happy you enjoyed the code, and our premium cleaning standards were implemented for your stay! We are sorry for any inconveniences caused by the screens. Our manager is replacing the screens for better use and reviewing additional updates for the condo. We look forward to hosting you again in the future!

We love Molokai and have stayed at Ke Nani Kai for many years. We have loved all the units we’ve rented and stayed in until staying in 155. I have never written a bad review until now. We actually stayed in 155 in 2019 and were satisfied, but in those 2-plus years the unit appears to need some much needed maintenance and TLC. The clothes dryer’s heating element never worked during our stay. I called Vacasa twice and they assured me someone would come to fix the dryer, but no one ever came. I never was able to dry our clothes in the dryer. Both toilets need new toilet kits. You have to hold the handle down on one or it won’t flush. The other toilet you have to flip the handle up or it continues to run. The refrigerator drips water on the top shelf. I had to keep a towel in the fridge otherwise our food would be sitting in a pool of water. The curtains were missing hooks and very difficult to open and close. The coffee maker needs to be replaced. It took almost an hour for it to brew a pot of coffee. There were only 3 coffee cups, and only 5 table knives. There were holes in the sliding screen doors. The futon in the living room needs a new mattress and cover. The futon cover had holes in it and was dirty. Check out is too early, 10:00 am. We asked for a late check out and were willing to pay a little extra because our flight did not leave until 6:30 pm, but were told by Vacasa that because of COVID they could not do that, so we ended up paying for an entire extra day just so we could stay in the condo for an extra 7 hours. Ke Nani Kai and the amenities at Ke Nani Kai are terrific and we will stay there again, but will shy away from renting a condo from Vacasa in the future.
Manager response:

We are very sorry for dropping the ball for your stay and will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties to ensure that our communication is streamlined and thorough to meet our high service standards. Please know that your feedback is essential, and we have passed your comments along to our local manager, who will work with the homeowner to make any updates. We apologize for the inconvenience and truly hope we can host you for a more comfortable stay in the future.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ke Nani Kai. We’ll be back!! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Great spot! Faces the Oceanside of property, very clean and stocked with what you need for cooking. It is a retirement community but the sense of community there is really strong; made new friendships and even some networking! If you have children, pool rules might be a little uncomfortable, but we had no problems. A little grocer and beach access are also in quick walking distance, but other than that you ARE still in a remote spot This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
