Cozy Alpine Studio w/ High-End Mattresses, Hot Tub & Full Kitchen

A great base for mountain adventures, this 1BR mountain studio (sleeps 4) is just 10 minutes from the slopes of Vail Ski Resort. Comfortable and cozy, the studio features a full kitchen, spacious bathroom, 50” TV, and a shared hot tub.

INSIDE THE STUDIO

You’ll find this home, part of a triplex, up a short, sloping, heated driveway. After parking in the driveway, head along the left side of the garage to the front door of your studio. A sign above the door reading “Eagle’s Nest” signals your arrival.

Once inside the studio, you’ll plush high-end queen-size bed immediately on your left. Near the foot of the bed, a cozy living area features a sleeper sofa, and a 50” TV with DVD player. On chilly nights, it’s a great space to settle in for movie nights with hot chocolate.

To the right of the sleeping area, a wooden dining table seats 3. A small passageway to the right leads to a spacious bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a large single sink vanity with granite counter-tops.

Cook evening meals in the full kitchen, located to the right of the dining area. This well-equipped cooking space has a range of appliances, including a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and electric stove-oven.

After a day spent blazing down alpine slopes, soothe aching limbs in the shared hot tub, accessible via a staircase on the right side of the garage. The tub sits on a deck area with a gas grill and outdoor seating for 4—the perfect spot for après ski dining and drinks.

THE LOCATION

At the “Eagle's Nest,” it's less than 10 minutes to Vail Mountain Resort and Lionshead Village. Want to hit the slopes without the drive? You’re a 3-minute walk from the Meadow Creek Bus Stop, where a free bus service runs every 15 minutes.

For a change of scenery from the snow, drive 20 minutes to Gore Creek. Kayak on the rapids, enjoy a spot of fishing, or pull on hiking boots and follow a scenic river trail offering panoramic valley views.

Bringing your pet pooch on vacation? Walk 8 minutes and let them run loose at Stephens Park—it's a favorite local green space for dog walkers.

Parking Notes: No full size trucks will fit in this spot. Guest must park as far to the left of the driveway as possible. This is not in front of a garage space, but in front of the front door for the Eagle's Nest unit.

Guest Entry Instructions: This rental utilizes an E-lock, a digital lock that requires an unique code to enter. This code is reset after each guest's stay.

This area is just amazing. There is the coolest dog park within walking distance which really made me glad we took our dogs. The house is dog friendly which is great when you`re carting your pets around. The entire neighborhood is great and I`m dreaming of buying a home there myself the second I win the lottery. The unit is small but it was convenient and affordable. The upstairs neighbors could be heard but it wasn`t terrible. I was worried about that after reading other reviews but unless you`re very sensitive then it`s not a big deal. The kitchen could have used a few more items but I was able to buy the things I needed in Vail. I recommend bringing any supplies you`re sure you`ll need. The provided toilet paper wasn`t great but that`s the only thing to be butthurt about. We will likely be renting this one again when we make our way back to Vail. We stayed here for 51 nights which I feel is more than enough time to gauge how a vacation rental really is.

If you’re looking for a place to sleep and don’t care about using the deck or hot tub, people stomping right above your bed, and don’t mind the parking struggle, this is a great place.

The studio is essentially in a basement that gets nearly no light. It is below two units which are right next to the hot tub and grill area and have their units open to the deck, so if there are others staying there, it is often difficult to also enjoy those amenities. If you are not lucky and get guests above you who stay up late or are noisy, you will hear everything right above you, as the bed is situated right below the upstairs dining room table. Each upstair unit has two parking spots, one in the garage and one in the driveway, and the studio unit only gets one space which is basically half a space. If the other guests have more than 2 cars or don’t use the garage, or if they do not give you enough space, you will need to go find them and remind them of the parking instructions which is quite annoying.

The room itself was fine. The bed was not super comfortable and you could tell it was an older mattress. The couch has a pit in one side and a bar running through the other side. Could probably use an upgrade especially since it is marketed as a sleeper. It does pull out but I would not sleep on it for many nights - would probably be fine for kids. The kitchen was nice and had enough for us to cook in.

The location was great - loved being in Vail and close to the dog park and the Gore Creek Trail.

The turnkey team was really friendly, helpful, and available when we needed them which was nice.

Don`t stay here -- this property is beyond dirty. There was black mold in multiple spots in the kitchen, the shower drain was clogged & filled up the tub, and the noise from the guests upstairs prevented us from sleeping. Floodlights from outside also shone in at night, surfaces were quite dirty, cobwebs were present, boards were splitting, lights flickered & couldn`t be used without headaches, the rug smelled of dog urine, light bulbs were dead, hair was in the tub from the last guests (hopefully?), soap was out, things were left under the oven, knobs broke easily, & debris was in drawers. It doesn`t feel fair to have paid for this stay. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

This basement apartment was dark and dingy. The entryway was dirty and there was a dead bat there. Also we found a dead mouse in the garage the cleaner was called and she clean the house but she never did sweep. the front porch or take away the dead rodents. There was hair on the bed pillows and on the throw blanket. There were two broken glasses in the kitchen a large bowl with a crack in it, Chipped China and only one small bowl. The drawer on the bottom of the stove was broken and only two of the four burners worked there was only one spoon no salt and pepper shakers and no potholders. The two local representatives were very polite and bought some things for the kitchen and other places and helped us to get Wi-Fi. None of the major problems were solved. This is one of the cheapest places in Vail for a reason.

The place looked clean but I wiped the floor and the cloth was black after a few swipes of the floor. The carpets are very dirty and probably have mildew and bacteria.

It was very noisy with the guests and cleaners upstairs. The noises place I have every stayed. Impossible to sleep until the people upstairs were in bed

The parking was the worst. All of the guests were upset and fighting on who could park in the driveway. It is very steep and difficult to get up. It is too tight to park 3 cars effectively. I had to park very far to the right on the edge. If you slip over you could roll over the edge. The worst parking ever.

This is a place that they are trying to maximize the rental income. I doubt the owner would stay here more than a week.

There is a mass amount of emails from the management company before you arrive with conflicting and irrelevant information. Airbnb has perfected the process. Turnkey Vacations made it confusing and and felt like a startup.

I assume Turnkey could careless about my review. I assume it is company policy to get feedback. Then I assume they disregard any bad comments.

That is why I didn`t send any feedback until now. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Everything was just as described. The unit is one of three at this property. The fireplace is a real wood fireplace (vs. electric/gas). Although I didn’t use the fireplace, it’s a nice feature. I didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen is a nice size and has everything you would need. The patio (with hot tub) is a nice space, too. The washer and dryer is in the garage and shared with the other units so it’s ‘first come, first served.’ Since I was there to visit family in Edwards and ski Vail, Beaver Creek and Arrowhead, it was perfectly located. Convenient to restaurants and shopping, too. I would definitely stay here again! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

The location and the place were great. However the bathtub was clogged. We issued two support requests and we got no response. Also I would add that there`s a few conflicting instructions throughout the house. In some places they say you need to connect to the `open wifi` connection while in the manual in front of the TV you get the key for the `private wifi`. Also the neighbors upstairs were super loud and most likely putting their ski boots while on the property, which turned out to wake us up every day. Everything else was pretty good.
