Recent Vail vacation rental reviews

Spent two nights (Sept 29/30) during the absolute peak of color change. House was clean, stocked well with towels, soap, shampoo, etc and the electronic lock worked as it should. Hot tub was working well. Free shuttle stop was used once by us and appreciated. Only real downside was that a bedroom patio door had to be used to get to the hot tub but we weren't using that bedroom so no issue for us. Would I rent this house again...Yes!

Great location, beautiful view. The place was very clean, cute decor, well stocked kitchen. Pool & hot tub were nice. Very close to Vail village, hiking opportunities. We would definitely stay here again. Perfect for 2-3 people

Where is Vail, CO?

Our vacation rentals in the scenic Vail Valley sit at the base of the Gore Range in the Rockies. Denver is just 97 miles away via I-70 W, offering one of the most scenic drives or shuttle rides you'll ever take.

Vail is about 12 miles east of outdoor mecca of Avon, home to the world-renowned slopes of Beaver Creek Resort, and a few miles west of Summit County mountain resorts like the majestic Copper Mountain and skiing paradise of Breckenridge.

Vail Mountain Resort

Guests needn't go very far to find a mountain resort, however! Constructed in 1962, Vail Mountain Resort is Colorado's largest mountain resort, with over 5,000 skiable acres to enjoy. Whether you're a professional skier (two Olympic medalists were trained on these slopes) or have never seen snow before, Vail Mountain Resort welcomes you. Advanced athletes will love the powdery, challenging bowls, and park enthusiasts both big and small will want to make sure to try out one of the three terrain parks.

Book a group or a private lesson at the Vail Ski and Snowboard School, which has lessons geared for all levels and ages. The Resort even offers child care and adaptive ski programs.

Perhaps you'd like to try something different? How about a ski bike lesson, or a go on the tubing hill? Little snow bunnies will love the kids snowmobile track! Take lessons in specialty sports like snowshoeing or Nordic skiing, or forgo the snow all together for a restorative spa day.

Vail Village

The town of Vail was built to accommodate the mountain athlete and combines a rich, upscale vibe with a European motif. Due to the sheer size of the mountain, Vail was split into three main base villages: Vail Village, Lionshead, and Golden Peak. These Bavarian-style villages have heated pedestrian streets and a free bus system, exuding an Old World charm dressed to the nines in elegance.

Each village hosts diverse boutiques and apres-ski dining, from sandwich shops to five-star cuisine heralded in national magazines. Sunny pub decks invite you to share a midday beer, while dance clubs, live music, and piano and karaoke bars bring the village to life once the sun sets. But if you don't feel like going out on the town, never fear: Most of our Vail rentals have their own kitchens for quiet meals in.

Vail, CO summer recreation

As Vail sheds its winter coat, the town becomes an epicenter of summer activities including hiking, mountain biking, rafting, rock climbing, and golfing. Summer events like an annual farmers market, art festivals, a free concert series, and an outdoor movie series make every night fun for the whole family.

Take a hike on Mount of the Holy Cross, Vail's local 14,000-foot peak, or fly fish in the Eagle River or Gore Creek. Golf becomes a surreal experience, with so much majestic beauty to be found every way you turn.

Take a day trip to the rising town of Frisco on the shores of Dillon Reservoir, one of the highest marinas in the world. Water sports like sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing await.

Whether you're here in summer or winter, our Vail rentals are your ticket to a unique Colorado adventure - part glamorous escape, part connection to your loved ones and the natural world around you. Book today and experience the majesty of Vail for yourself.
