Three Off Grid Jungle Bungalows W/ Private Natural Pools, Waterfalls & Trails!

If a secluded, off-grid adventure is what you are after, these three Lost Pools Bungalows will be just the place to get away from it all and have this tropical wonderland to yourself! Enjoy Your Own Exclusive compound on 160 acres, there will be no delay in embarking on memorable treks and scenic walks each day, as the property features a plethora of natural pools, waterfalls, and dense foliage that will keep everyone busy. Lost Pools is a mini eco compound, so guests will need to be conscious of power usage during their stay. This being said, there is free WiFi to stay connected and modern comforts including stylish interiors complete with kitchenettes and updated bathrooms. When days heat up, head down to the private pool and take a dip or simply follow the river and hop into one of the many deep pools along the trail. Not to mention, the lanai, bar area, and gas grill will come in handy for whipping up tasty meals as the sun goes down!

We have miles of hiking trails, fruit trees, coffee plants, natural swimming pools, wild animal/bird viewing, and a man-made fresh water pool (for the little less adventurous).

Live in the jungle powered by the sun! We are completely off the grid...we have our own water system and we produce our own electricity.

This is not your "normal" vacation spot, you need a 4wd vehicle and plan to arrive during daylight hours.

Lost Pools is only a few miles from Ojochal, a Costa Rican international culinary destination. We are very close to numerous (20 minutes), beautiful beaches and they are never crowded. This is where the jungle meets the beach. This is a great location to start your Southern Costa Rican adventure vacation.

Three couples, including my wife and I, spent two nights at Lost Pools, at the end of July, 2022. It was great. You're totally up in the mountains, off the grid, yet they have electricity from solar and hydro, and wifi. They have beautiful waterfalls, trails and creeks to hike. They have a super cool pool and open air clubhouse to cook, eat and hang out for drinks and conversation, with a hummingbird feeder such that the birds are just a few feet from your table. The pool is really cute, fed by the natural spring water from up the mountain. You can lean over the edge of the pool and look down the mountain, into the jungle. The sound of water flowing down the creeks and falls is constant and very relaxing. If you are adventurous and love nature, especially the rainforest, this is your kind of place. It is not for the faint of heart because you have to travel narrow, dirt roads way up the mountain. Eric led us up and back down. He was a great host!

Myself and my family had a truly wonderful time at Erics jungle resort. The location is amazing and authentic if you want some quality jungle time away from the crowds. The natural pools and rivers are a small hikes walk and are amazing. We went with our 2 year old daughter and the hikes were great with her in the rucksack. One hike was a little more precarious but if taken slowly ok. The communication with our host was impeccable and their help with the local information and care impeccable too. I highly recommend Lost Pools if you are looking for some authentic jungle time away from the crowds.

Looking for a private, very remote paradise with truly natural pools and hikes? This is it. This is a really special place for those of us who appreciate a super sweet host and who prefer nature over fancy. When the description says to arrive during the day with 4x4 - it’s a MUST. There are cool restaurants and other sights/activities in the area but they’re a drive. I hope to pack my swim suit, water shoes, and hiking sticks and return again one day!! Thank you Eric and team as we loved our stay!

If you`re looking for something unique and very Costa Rican, this place is cool. It is a peaceful jungle resort and really blends into the surroundings. A 4WD vehicle is necessary as it is a 15 minute drive on remote but sufficient roads . The bungalows are very comfortable and bright with little kitchenettes, which appeared to be all new. There`s an infinity edge swimming pool overlooking the jungle, but the river pools are pretty amazing for swimming and chilling after a long sweaty hike. we`ve never stayed anywhere quite like this previously. This is what we imagined, when we were planning our stay in Costa Rica. The private natural pools, the river and the waterfalls were perfect backdrops to our cabina as we could sit with a glass of wine and view them from our balcony above. We had the place to ourselves short of Eric, the manager, who was very accommodating. He gave us a tour of the place and showed us the paths to the pools. He recommended some restaurants, hiking trails and a couple local surf spots too.Recommend highly.
