Recent Mammoth Lakes vacation rental reviews

This townhome has the best combination of all things for a winter/summer vacation. Can easily sleep 8-10 depending on the group, it was beyond spacious for our family of 4 plus two teenage friends and two dogs. Corner unit, 25 yards to the jacuzzi, ample parking, good size TV, couches are comfortable, fireplace is crazy warm, and plenty of seating for meals. The proximity to old town/The Village is ideal and the shuttle to all lifts is convenient. As for the internet/WiFi - and this goes for just about all of Mammoth - DO NOT count on the internet if you have a child attending Zoom School or if you have a critical business Zoom meeting that you plan to take with your fake home office's not gonna work. This goes for everywhere except The Village (where I believe the fiber CO is located) and the internet experience is rock solid. We will definitely be renting this unit again.

L8 fit our needs for a few day getaway to Mammoth. The thumbnail when searching shows the unit as a 2 bedroom; it is actually 1 bedroom with a loft. The loft does have blinds to provide privacy from downstairs so it has a second bedroom feel. The unit is clean, comfortable, and well located. Check-in/out was very easy. Be aware that there are no extra blankets in the unit other than the comforters but I believe that is noted in the unit's description. Also, there are no kitchen towels or a dish drain (however, I didn't contact Vacasa to ask for either, so that's on me). There is not a heating vent in the loft but the loft received plenty of heat from the heaters in the living room and kitchen.

Hikes near Mammoth Lakes, CA

Make the short hike to the Devils Postpile National Monument and marvel at the hexagonal basalt columns. The trail is easy and ideal for children who aren't up for long walks.
