About Costa Smeralda

From romantic coves and luxury amenities to vibrant nightlife and cuisine, it's no surprise that Italy's Emerald Coast is one of the most popular vacation destinations in all of Europe.

This luxurious destination in Italy features an array of charming towns and villages along the coastline, including the popular bay town of Porto Cervo, Gallurese, Monti di Mola, and more.

Where is Costa Smeralda?

Located on an island off the coast of Italy, Costa Smeralda is a 12-mile stretch of coastline on the northern part of Sardinia, featuring luxurious resort towns, amazing culture, and more.

With the Tyrrhenian Sea surrounding you, when you stay at one of our Costa Smeralda vacation rentals, stunning beaches, coves, and bays are at your fingertips. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach retreat or an exclusive event-filled getaway, Costa Smeralda is only an hour-long flight away from Rome, Italy.

Activities in Costa Smeralda

Costa Smeralda offers a mix of modern urban towns and historic archeological sites. If you're looking for a dose of history and culture, visit the Li Muri Giants' Graves or the nearby ancient ruins.

Explore the civilization of ancient Sardinia at the nearby Nuraghe la Prisgiona ruins. This site features an ancient megalithic edifice and was occupied from the 14th through 9th centuries B.C. Learn about the ancient culture of Sardinia and the Nuragic civilization as you walk through the ruins of nearly 100 buildings.

Jump forward to the present and visit the Stella Maris church. Situated up on a small hill in Porto Cervo, this church was built in the 1960s and offers a stunning example of simple modern church architecture, featuring whitewashed stucco in the Mediterranean style.

For some fun in the sun, Spiaggia Capriccioli Beach boasts stunning turquoise waters and soft white sand - complete with huge mega yachts out in the water as your backdrop. Come nightfall, head to over to catch the festivities at Phi Beach in Baja Sardinia (and be sure you're dressed to party).

Events in Costa Smeralda

You'll have your pick of fun events and activities throughout the year in Costa Smeralda, from local polo matches in Gershan to vintage car rallies and film festivals.

In the fall, the Sardinia Cup sailing regatta always draws a big crowd for avid sailors and tourists alike. Catching a glimpse of all the beautiful boats in the bay makes an amazing memorable sight.

The Porto Cervo wine and food festival takes place every May for the foodies out there - you can taste and experience all the best local Sardinian food and wine from throughout the island.

In July and August, the Gala Dinner with Concert is a popular event at the Cala di Volpe stage. Each year two popular music headliners perform at the concert for a truly fun and exciting evening.

Plan a luxurious stay at one of our Costa Smeralda vacation rentals and enjoy an unforgettable trip.
