We had a great week at Ocean’s Edge! It is a sweet little cottage, bathroom and kitchen have been updated, and I loved all the wood details like the ceiling! The beach is extremely private and quiet and that was the highlight for me. There was one person staying in the other cottage but she didn’t come outside much so we had the beach completely to ourselves unless someone was out for a walk and walking past. If you crave being around people, this may not be for you. If you are a beach bum like me that wants complete quiet to read and soak up rays all day, you’ll love it. If it’s your first time in the area, highly recommend a car or golf cart and many, many trips into Placencia for wonderful food, authentic culture, and kind locals. We love it here.

The place was lovely! Fit our two families perfectly. Loved the pool and the extras (kayaks, games, etc) were really nice. It’s a bit far from town but there were good restaurants near by and we liked being away from the busy town. We would definitely stay again and would recommend

We were looking for a middle-of-the-road lodging option for a family of 5 (3 teenagers) for the two nights we were going to be exploring the inland side of Belize. This was a rare find that would allow us to stay in one room, rather than having to reserve 2 rooms to house us all. The room was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than we could have hoped for. The location was a quick -5 minute drive to San Ignacio and was wonderfully remote and peaceful. The photos you see online are spot-on - it is as idealic as it appears. The staff was very accomodating. The restaurant & bar on-site were a wonderful bonus that made our stay so easy and relaxing (and were also very reasonably priced). Had we not had plans on the east side of the country, we would have loved to stay longer and enjoy all this boutique hotel had to offer.
