Cheerful home with patio & yard - walk to parks, trails & Hayward Field!

Enjoy unbeatable access to college sports and international track and field events at this four-bedroom Eugene home, a welcoming family retreat with central air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, a yard, and a wonderful location within walking distance of beautiful parks and the University of Oregon.

This cheerful yellow home sits one mile southeast of downtown Eugene, just half a block south of the Sunday summer concerts in Washburne Park. Take morning walks through the world-famous rhododendron garden at Hendricks Park half a mile east, grab a seat to watch the USA Track & Field Championships or the Olympic trials at Hayward Field half a mile north, and root on the Oregon Ducks football team each fall at Autzen Stadium two miles north.

Built in 1935, this home is casual, comfortable, and an ideal retreat for a family of Oregon alumni. Spend your mornings hiking part of the 12-mile Ridgeline Trail in Hendricks Park, and return home to whip up pancakes in the full kitchen (with a dishwasher), grab a change of clothes from the washer/dryer, and use the free WiFi to read the sports section outside on the deck and patio. After a day spent in the stands at Hayward Field, you can barbecue with friends on the gas grill in the garden, unwind inside by the wood-burning fireplace, and enjoy the home's very flexible sleeping arrangements (the two twin beds are trundles - one is beneath a traditional full-size bed, and the other is beneath the twin-size daybed).

There's always fun to be had in the charming neighborhoods of Eugene - begin planning your next trip to the Willamette Valley today!

This lovely little yellow house is where I would love to live. Great location! Love the kitchen. We sat outside every evening and watched the dog walkers and enjoyed looking at the tall trees across the street. The gardener in me wanted to lend a hand and prune a bit, but I didn’t bring my clippers! You have a beautiful place. We are 2 ladies, 65+ so didn’t use upstairs or the basement, but it would be great for families. Thank you so much for this wonderful stay!

The home itself was very cozy and nice. It was very comfortable to hang out with family. Since it is the middle of summer, I was really hoping to hang outside in the back courtyard grilling and relaxing with family. Very disappointed to find it overgrown and filthy. Could not utilize it at all. Complained to property manager and problem was not fixed. Looks like the courtyard has not been cleaned all year. Looks nothing like the pictures on the website. We were very disappointed. Owners may not know their yard is not being taken care of by property management company. I would have given 5 stars if a little attention was given to yard and we actually could have used it.
Manager response:
Hello, Denise! Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the home itself. We value your suggestions surrounding the condition of the yard and welcome the opportunity to improve our homes for future guests. We appreciate you notifying us and have worked with our local staff to address your concerns. We hope to host you again!

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Lots of room for a family of five, well appointed kitchen, short walk to ice cream, take out, coffee and a park as well as Oregon University! Super clean and organized, plenty of serving dishes and cookware. The only thing we couldn't find was measuring cups. Bonus was being able to park inside a garage, Thank you for sharing your home. We would stay again if we come back to Eugene!!

Farmhouse style with a lot of class was just perfect for everything we needed! We were close enough to town and all of the stores. We were able to enjoy the comfort of the home and get some relaxation in.

The house is a cute old cottage, very well maintained and functional with a lovely manicured garden and herb and tomato patch on the side in a very welcoming and quiet neighborhood, just walking distance from University of Oregon. There are 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on each floor. The kitchen is fully functional with a lovely view on the vegetable garden. The sitting room is comfortable and allows for easy relaxation. We could easily walk to the university and to nearby restaurants. The bathrooms were also functional and when I asked for a non slip bathtub mat for my 93 y old mother, Vacasa delivered one within the hour! We will definitely rent this property when we return to Eugene.

This home is conveniently located near the university. It's such a clean beautiful home with so much charm and character. You have a 2 car garage which is rare and very convenient. Its gor such great energy and there are beautiful flowers all around the home. There is also a garden that has all types of herbs growing and u can pick anything u like. 4 types of peppers, 4 types of tomatoes, eggplant, basil, etc etc. There is an outdoor lounge area great for sun bathing and it's got central air and heat which is super awesome for those hot summer days and those chili winter nights. If u have the chance to stay here u won't be disappointed

Roomy enough for all of us. Convenient location, homey. Backyard patio perfect in the heat.

I rented a completely different house. The house I rented for the weekend of my daughter's wedding was a luxury, 4,000 home. But the owners were there and said they didn't rent it out. They called Vacasa who said they conveniently had another property we could stay at. This place didn't even come close to what we rented. They wouldn't return AirBNB's phone calls when I filed a complaint. They didn't care we were unhappy with the downgrade and they wouldn't refund our money. Stay away from these people!! They are scam artists!!
Manager response:
We are very sorry about the miscommunication with the owner: they did not realize they had opened their calendar for bookings those days. We do recognize the house this guest was moved to was not as luxurious and sincerely apologize for the disappointment. We hope they found the home itself clean and in good condition. Thanks!

The house was perfect for our group in town to see a UO football game. Conveniently located - it was easy to get to campus as well as to some good food options. The house was comfortable, clean and nicely stocked for our needs. We would definitely stay again when visiting!

The house worked out great for our family attending a graduation. Close to campus, we could walk to events. Park across the street was convenient for tossing a football or just sitting out in the sun. Charming older home in great shape!
