The town of Cascade Locks is nestled in the middle of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, about 40 minutes east of Portland and 20 minutes west of Hood River. Also from this Cascade River Watch vacation home, you're only a quarter of a mile from downtown Cascade Lock's shops, galleries, and eateries. It's an easy walk or bike ride!

Inside, the living room is filled with comfortable furniture for relaxing and watching TV, spreading out an after-dinner board game, or spending a quiet evening reading. Just off the dining room, you'll have access to the large deck with new furniture for an outdoor feast. In the mornings, you can come out here with a cup of coffee for a gorgeous view of the Columbia River (while this home is not riverfront, the view of the mountains and water is gorgeous)!

The full kitchen boasts a vintage, patterned floor, all major appliances (including a dishwasher) and a breakfast bar. On the nights that you don't feel like going out, you'll definitely be able to prepare a hearty meal in this bright, well-equipped space.

The main level of this Cascade Locks getaway also has one of the bedrooms - a kids' room with two twin beds, as well as a den with an extra seating area - ideal for naps, reading, or playing games.

Heading upstairs, you'll find the remaining two bedrooms, both with a queen sized bed. All bedrooms have cozy, colorful bedding, accessories like reading lamps, bedside tables, and wall art, and there are two full bathrooms. This Cascade Locks vacation home will comfortably sleep up to six guests. Dogs are also welcome, though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. There's also a washer and dryer here, so no need trying to stay clean all the time.

Cascade Locks is home to the famous Cascade Locks Marine Park and the CGRA (Columbia Gorge Racing Association), both attract a lot of sailboat enthusiasts and sailing events. In addition, you can take a sailing lesson, attend a clinic, or just stand back and play spectator while the sailboats race by. From this great Cascade Locks location, you'll be right near the historic Bonneville Dam and fish hatchery (six miles away), as well as the the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, departing daily from the Marine Park for boat tours of the Columbia River.

Lace up your hiking boots and head out to the famous Pacific Crest Trail, for a walk through rolling lush wooded forest - it's less than a mile away. And when you don't feel like cooking, you're also only a mile from Thunder Island Brewing - the Gorge's newest local brewery. Other options include a number of options right across the Bridge of the Gods, in nearby Stevenson, Washington. Walking Man Brewery, Little Viking Drive-in, Big River Grill, and Andrew's Pizza to name a few.
