Spend your days at a quiet and peaceful tree house in the coastal forest. After Dune Delight is nestled in the pines just a few blocks from ocean. From the spacious and protected deck you can sun bathe and listen to the surf.
Inside this mid-century beach house, you’ll see open beam ceilings and beautiful wood floors, modern furniture and fun beach decor. Prepare a gourmet meal in the large kitchen with Jenn Air oven-range and a convenient island/breakfast bar. There is room for 4 at the dining table and 2 more at the breakfast bar. In the evening enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace candelabra, relax on the sofas with some popcorn and watch a thrilling movie on the 50’ flat screen smart TV. Or take a soothing bubble bath in the claw foot tub.
Plan your outings on the superfast WiFi, log in on your phone or use our guest PC. Wet sandy clothes are no problem, you can toss them in washer and dryer or hang them to dry in the large laundry room.
In the morning, you can make a quick cup of coffee in the Keurig, or brew a whole pot in the coffee maker, then gaze out at the trees through the picture windows while the sunlight pours in through the skylights. On a clear day you can see a peek-a-boo view of the ocean!
One bedroom has a memory foam queen bed and a multi-color electric fireplace to keep you warm on cool nights. The other bedroom sleeps three with a twin-over-full rustic pine bunk bed (also memory foam). A comfy sofa bed in the living room provides an additional separate sleeping space, as well as an available fold-out mattress with a Privacy Pop bed tent. This rental accommodates 6 very comfortably.
When you’re ready to hit the beach, it’s only a few blocks away- close enough to walk. There are also many nearby roads with bike lanes. Old Town is just 10 minutes away by car for excellent local dining and shopping. Go south on Hwy 101 to experience the dunes and buy delicious sour dough bread at the bakery in Winchester Bay; go north on Hwy 101 to see the wild Oregon coast line, Heceta Head Lighthouse and the Sea Lion Caves.

This home was great! It really made riding the dunes all day a real After Dune Delight! The master bed was great and the bunk bed room was awesome as well! Thanks for the stay!

Cozy but not too small. Good sized/kitchen layout. Only con is no AC (it doesn't get that hot on the coast though)

This home is PERFECT for a couple or a small family. Modern with a touch of beach, very nice rental. The kitchen is furnished with everything you need to cook. There’s a washer and dryer and lots of extra towels for showers. The home has great cable service, internet connection and lots of board games. The deck out back is wonderful to sit and have a drink or bbq on. There’s no yard per se so outside of the deck, that’s about it outside. The fireplace in master bedroom was very nice also. Overall our experience I was wonderful and we’d DEFINITELY stay again!

We loved that little cottage so much. It felt like home, cozy, great view and safe. Wonderfully furnished and beautiful on the inside and out. Our stay felt like heaven and we wanted to buy it up and stay forever.

Just the right size for our family of 4, great tech and WiFi. Wish the weather had cooperated a bit more.
Enjoyed the games and puzzles!

Tips for guests - pick up coffee or tea on the way in ☕️.
Suggestion for the hosts: A few extra blankets in the closet 😊

Perfect for a couple and two kids. Close to the dunes and other activities like Sea Lion Caves. Grandkids 17 and 13 loved it.

We enjoyed our stay and found the kitchen to be well-equipped to make a nice meal. The windows have great views of the trees and watching the sunset on the couch was comfy.

We were disappointed in the porch based on what we expected from the photos. The porch definitely needs some love. The picnic table is falling apart and the deck was covered in pine needles. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.
Manager response:
We have repaired the picnic table and asked housekeeping to sweep the deck before they leave. Thank you!

My husband and college-age daughter had a great couple of days at your lovely house. It was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the television remote didn't work on the first night and there were no extra batteries in the house. We used batteries from another remote control which worked but then those died on our last night. This is a minor complaint but it would be good for the rental manager to check that everything works properly for the next guests.

Heceta Beach is terrific and our short walk over each day was easy and quick. Thanks for a great stay!

The home was great! It wasn’t far from the coast just a few blocks away. It looked small on the outside but on the inside it was like we had stepped into a new home. It was comfortable for all of us who went. Absolutely no problems at all. Love it!

We loved the huge windows in the living area, especially the one over the kitchen sink looking out into the trees. The 'walled' deck allowed a feeling of privacy even with the big windows in the living area. We also loved how bright the bathroom was because of the glass block window.
The home was clean and well-supplied with what we needed to make meals, sleep, and be comfortable. We appreciated the comfortable beds and the availability of laundry facilities.
The old-fashioned clawfoot tub in the bathroom was the only drawback. It is VERY small and difficult to maneuver in as you shower. At 5'10'' I was way too tall for the shower head, and due to the curved bottom of the tub, it didn't feel safe trying to maneuver. The space is so small the shower curtains were touching me on both sides. Thankfully, there is a very powerful handheld shower head, but using it made it very hard to keep the water from escaping the shower curtains.
The carport was appreciated, but is a little tight. We had a Toyota Camry and could still open the doors if pulled ahead enough, but a larger vehicle would pose a problem. Better instructions on how to use the propane grill (couldn't get the tank attached) and the grill on the stove (we worried about drips onto the elements/how to clean) would be helpful. Also, we couldn't get the closed-captioning off the tv when we watched movies.
Overall, a very pleasant stay at this well-situated home only a short walk from the beach.
Manager response:
We appreciate this feedback and will take it under consideration. The TV has been reset, and we are working on instructions for the BBQ. Thanks!

Two minute drive to the beach, You can hear the surf and the fog horn at the jetty. Yet inland enough to not get blasted by the coastal wind. Close to retail and restaurants in Florence.
Interior is nice.
The exterior could use some maintenance.
Manager response:
We have just signed on new landscapers to maintain the grounds. Thank you!
