Dog-friendly oceanfront home w/ easy beach access & large deck + walk to park!

Featuring a spectacular oceanfront location, easy beach access, dog-friendly attitude, and a serene atmosphere, this fantastic Gleneden Beach vacation rental is an amazing way to experience a coastal getaway.

Located just a few miles south of Lincoln City in the quiet community of Gleneden Beach, this home enjoys a less-crowded stretch of coastline and extremely easy beach access just 50 feet down the road. Within a 15-minute stroll you can reach a nice park and a few businesses, including the well-loved Side Door Cafe. Additionally, Depoe Bay and Lincoln City are nearby, so you won't have to go far to find more attractions.

This two-bedroom (with bonus room), two-bathroom home is perched right next to the ocean, and you can enjoy unbeatable views from inside or outside. Sit in the living room and gaze out the large windows to see the sparkling ocean, or open up the sliding glass door and listen to the roar of the waves.

The living room is the perfect place for everyone to gather, whether you want to chat while the gas fireplace flickers, watch some cable TV, or use the DVD player for a family movie night. You will also have WiFi access here, though you may be content to simply watch the waves roll in and out or try to catch a glimpse of the whales that migrate along the coastline.

This is a single-level home, so even guests who may have mobility issues or trouble with stairs will be very happy here. Next to the living area is a large, open kitchen and a dining space. The full kitchen is well-appointed with all the appliances and cooking tools you may need to prepare meals during your stay. If you happen to go fishing or crabbing from nearby Depoe Bay, you can cook up your catch in this kitchen and enjoy a wonderfully fresh seafood dinner!

Just down the hall are two full bathrooms, each with a tub/shower combo which means you can choose between a quick, refreshing shower and a luxurious bubble bath. One bathroom has a laundry area, so there's no need to worry if your clothes happen to get a little wet and sandy while exploring the nearby beach.

When it's time to rest up for another day of vacationing, you and your guests will have plenty of sleeping spaces to choose from. The bedrooms each feature a bright color scheme and a comfortable queen-size bed, and a futon in the living room provides another place for guests to sleep soundly.

Up to eight people are welcome to stay here, and you can even bring two dogs with you - though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply. A grassy yard area outside is a great place for your beloved dogs to sniff around, and, of course, they will love to run around the nearby beach with you!

A back deck off the living room is an ideal place for everyone to sit and admire the fabulous ocean views. You will especially love to watch the spectacular sunsets over the horizon. And, since the beach is just a one-minute walk away, you and your guests can take morning jogs through the fog, build sandcastles, beachcomb, fly kites, or simply stroll along and marvel at the beauty of nature.

When you're ready to explore the area, you can drive either north or south to find adventures. If you head south, stop for a picnic lunch at Boiler Bay Wayside on your way to the fantastic, small town of Depoe Bay, which is known as the whale-watching capital of the coast. Peruse the shops, get some fresh caramel corn, have lunch at the Sea Hag, and maybe even book a trip on a whale-watching or fishing expedition. If you continue south to the larger Newport, you will find a world-class aquarium and a huge variety of restaurants and shopping.

North just a few miles from your beach house is the popular Lincoln City, along with its wonderful casino, outlet mall, souvenir shops, and fantastic restaurants ranging from seafood to authentic Mexican cuisine. Walk along the busier beaches and fly kites, take a scenic trip to nearby Devils Lake, or venture out of town to find hiking and biking trails galore.

Gleneden Beach may be a small town, but you will find plenty of nearby activities to keep busy! Start with a nice lunch of salmon cakes or a shrimp melt at the Side Door Cafe, get a tarot card reading at the nearby Crystal Wizard shop, then head north a mile to the Salishan Resort, where you can enjoy a round of golf or book a spa treatment. Gleneden Beach has an annual Fourth of July Parade, and you can watch Lincoln City's firework display right from the comfort of your beach house!

With an unbeatable oceanfront location, quiet neighborhood setting, and easy access to nearby attractions, this comfortable and welcoming Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental is the perfect place to plan your next beach escape!

View outstanding, close to good restaurants. Quiet

We had a family of 7 stay over Thanksgiving and while it looks small on the outside, it is very well laid out and had everything we needed in the kitchen to make a full Thanksgiving dinner! The views from the deck are to die for and there is public access to the beach one house down. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a great rental! One note that has nothing to do with the property - like other reviewers have said - the public access point to the beach would be very difficult for small children or the elderly.

Great view, nice yard area for dogs but owners need to be responsible as its not fenced. Large deck area for watching whales and the ocean waves.
Sara L. Sep 2018
The house was very clean and organized. VERY short walk to the beach and one of the neighbors had a board that said "Got Shovel?" with all kinds of sandcastle building supplies that they lent out to all the little kids in the area!
Jill H. Aug 2018
We liked this house on the beach, though not strictly on the beach we could definitely hear the ocean's roar all day/night and there were no barriers to our view of said ocean. Lovely. A few modest changes could have made this a GREAT recommendation, i.e. a sheet with TV or gas fireplace instructions, local information, etc. All was clean, weather made this place quite delightful, plenty of supplies. We were a group of women and didn't really need much in the way of entertainment.

We had a wonderful time and so did the dogs! Great view 😊

Perfect beach. Nice small and clean house.
VICKY J. Jun 2018
great view

The house was clean and we loved the bay windows. The only thing we didn’t like was the beds. They squeak soo loud with every inch you moved making it hard to sleep and they sunk down in the middle. Cute place overall.
Susanne T. Apr 2018
Everything you need is here. We arrived to 82° in April. The mobile A/C was much appreciated. Our family enjoyed this lovely home.
Jacqualynn J. Mar 2018
We enjoyed the beach, hanging on the deck watching sunsets, comfortable beds, having a full kitchen to cook fabulous meals and enjoyed having room for the whole family of 8.
Brian E. Jan 2018
This cozy, comfortable home is situated on a cliff overlooking the beach, with an access trail to the beach less than 200 yards away. The unobstructed beach and ocean views are *incredible*, and the beach was really private--we walked in both directions every day and only saw a few people. The place has a full kitchen with everything you need, and 3 full bedrooms so plenty of room for family and friends. There's a lovely gas fireplace in the main room, and stunning views of the beach and ocean (did I mention that?). We will definitely look to stay here again!
Sherry N. Oct 2017
Love this beach, house is perfectly located!
Willard J. Oct 2017
We are very happy with the house and its location. We will return for two weeks in Feb.
Gregory E. Oct 2017
we came there to watch our son in golf tournament. it was very close to everything we needed. we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others. However If u want the inside of house to be 5 star then this place probably would not be for you.
Jennifer B. Sep 2017
The house is not set up to take full advantage of the view.
Needs a major update.
I really appreciated the option to check out late so we could enjoy more of the day
Edward M. Aug 2017
Nice little house..carpets and furniture were really dirty but overall it was a nice place to relax for a couple days..great location..
Doris R. Aug 2017
I enjoyed the view of the ocean and the privacy of the deck. The weather was to cool to go swimming but did enjoy the beach. The house was very nice and all enjoyed the stay. I had no complaints.
Norman R. Jul 2017
We had our family of 8 here and while the house is a little small, it isn't nearly as tiny as some of the reviews make it out to be. Everyone was cozy and the kitchen area was perfect for our little group. Even if all of that was substandard, the view from the back deck makes up for everything. I do agree with some other reviewers that indicate that the house probably wouldn't be a good spot for small children or the elderly who have trouble getting around. While the access to the beach is a few steps away, it is a pretty steep unkempt path that could pose problems for some. The house is also on a small "cliff" that is really only about 15-20 feet to the beach but too hairy to make your way down from the back yard (trust me...we tried!) Other than those items, it's a great place.
Tammie Y. Jul 2017
This little house is wonderfully cozy one sorry with a large veiw of the ocean.
The beach access is to steep for the elder's and toddlers to use.
Kelli R. Jul 2017
wonderful location, amazing beach, amazing views! the beach access is one house over it is a little steep but very easy to go down and up for the most past. we loved the property and would definitely stay again!
Eric R. Jun 2017
We got this house more as a last choice, but sometimes those situations turns out into having a blast.

I could nag that the rug is a bit out of date, the bush in the back could be trimmed down more, there's no grill, etc., but all of those are really meager complaints.

Yes, the house is small. It's to the point with the floor plan. There were seven of us and perhaps more breathing room would be good to have, but we weren't at the beach to stay inside the house all day.

Really, the only issue that I see are the beach access ramps close by. We managed, but others might not be able to. The steepness isn't bad, but they are rocky and the last portion has crumbled away. I'm sure it's more of a local government matter, but it's something to pass on to.

The view from the back was great. The deck and yard may look small, but there was plenty of room for everyone to setup chairs and watch the ocean, sunsets, and stargaze. The neighborhood was quiet. The beach line was delightful and not crowded. However, the sand is more coarse that what most people may be used to.

I would get this again, probably with a bit less people. All in all, we had a great time.
Melodee W. May 2017
Good location, easy access to the beach.
Luke S. May 2017
First let me say that we did enjoy our vacation. The view from the home was beautiful and the beach was very close and easy to get to. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the house was an issue for us. The sheets and pillowcases had hair all over them. Indicating that they hadn't been washed or that they weren't washed well. We were going to just strip the beds and pillowcases but when we pulled off the pillowcases the pillows themselves were all stained. We resorted to putting our own blanket that we had brought for the car ride over the bed so we felt comfortable sleeping in it. Overall, I was disappointed in this property.
Manager response:
We are glad to see this guest enjoyed their stay despite their disappointments with the cleanliness. The Property Manager had inspected this home prior to guest arrival and did not find any cleanliness issues at that time. We apologize the guest felt differently. Had we been notified by the guest we would have come back out to reinspect and fix anything found amiss. Thank you!
Liz L. Apr 2017
The back yard was perfect for dogs.
Sherry N. Apr 2017
The house is small, yet very spacious. Our family of 5 plus one dog were completely comfortable! The deck is nice and roomy and the view is spectacular! We have stayed twice this year so far and will be back.
Joan L. Apr 2017
Easy to get to, close to shopping, restaurants and quiet. I would not let children in the yard where the cliff is, no barrier. View is wonderful and we moved the kitchen table to the window to play cards and eat. sleeping was a challenge with needing 5 beds. No twin rooms....only 3 queen bedrooms and two sofa's. Bathroom (2) were good and showers great. Kitchen well stocked with pot, pans, dishes,
Michele S. Nov 2016
Rented this house for a 4-day Thanksgiving with family, friends, and our dog. Can't beat the beautiful view and nice deck/yard. The house itself, while roomy enough and generally clean, is in serious need of some basic TLC. A few broken appliances, VERY minimal kitchen equipment, a sprung mattress, and threadbare towels make it more rustic than we'd expected. I would stay here again for sure, but more aware of what to expect.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see that this rental did not meet this guest's expectations. The microwave has been fixed, the towels are newer, and basic kitchenware is provided. Thanks!
Judith V. Sep 2016
Great place to enjoy the beach and nice neighborhood for dog walks. It was very convenient to surrounding communities and I hope to return.
Nancy C. Aug 2016
view and location just wonderful! Would stay here again, but the beds were pretty bad, so would bring something more comfortable to sleep on!!
Tammy G. Jul 2016
Cozy house right next to the beach. Great relaxing vacation for our family and dogs.
John K. Jun 2016
The house is great. Vacasa is great!
Kenneth S. May 2016
Very beautiful property perfect for a little family!!
Melodee W. Apr 2016
Would so recommend this company for future rentals to friends and family. We had a great time, none of us wanted to leave.
Sue N. Apr 2016
Beautiful ocean view, furniture and beds need upgrades. Yard is not fenced near cliff and long drop off to beach. Could be dangerous for small children and small pets. Neighborhood is quiet, although there were 8 cars at the house next door. Some new outdoor chairs need to replace the broken ones....
House clean and plenty of towels and kitchen supplies.
Manager response:
We appreciate this feedback and hope to see you again!
William T. Apr 2016
Nice little and simple cottage, clean and up close to the Ocean. Dangerous for kids and animals with small yard and steep cliff. No reasl access to the beach below with out going down the block and risking life and limb on a steep "Gravel" path down. Risky for anyone..
Kim H. Mar 2016
Very Simple little house, don't expect luxury. But the view is incredible and makes up for the lack of amenities. Huge windows made the most of the view. I think the picture of the beach access is a little misleading. It is close by, but is rather steep.
Tiersa H. Mar 2016
This delightful home has you right on the ocean. You can hear it, watch it and be with it, but I would not recommend it for little people. The ledge is too high up and with no fence. For us - adults and nursing baby, it was a PERFECT way to be at the beach! Good space for three couples. We really enjoyed our stay.
Jan H. Feb 2016
In life, there is no such thing as PERFECT; which means the AWESOME features always seem to balance out the not so awesome.
* AWESOME ~ THE WONDERFUL OCEAN VIEW that this beach house offers MORE THAN makes up for the comfortable "lived in" feel of the cabin itself.
* ADIQUATE ~ It may not be new and modern, but the furniture in this beach house is both ENOUGH for a group, and comfortable. The eating table was large enough for 6 to eat around, but not to big to make playing games & cards awkward. The coffee table was large enough to hold a good size puzzle. Another plus to this beach house is that the yard out the patio door makes it so that your pets can come in and out without you having to bundle up to take your dog for a walk.
* Not so awesome ~ SAFETY wise,
1) beach access can be precarious
2) the 3/4 fence for the yard off the patio door is low, making it more decorative than efficient. You will need to supervise both your pet and your children when using the yard to make sure they do not get to close to the DROP OFF cliff.
ALL IN ALL, it is a cozy little beach house, close to either town (north/Lincoln City and south/Gleneden Beach), the two golf courses, outlet malls, and HAS adequate cell phone reception,.
We would stay here again.
Brian S. Feb 2016
Perfect!!!
Paul J. Jan 2016
Great view of the ocean, cute property with no steps making it perfect for anyone with problems negotiating steps. However, there are no hand holds in the bathrooms so I would guess that it is not ADA compliant. That's the good news. Unfortunately based on our experience and previous comments nothing is being done to address the dirty condition of the kitchen area. The cabinets and draws are dirty and sticky. Pans have to be washed again before use. Tableware is bent and some of it looks like it has been in the garbage disposal. This would be a nice property if they would start giving you your moneys worth for the cleaning deposit being charged.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review. We apologize that the home has not received proper cleaning; the Property Manager has been made aware and will schedule a deep cleaning as soon as he is able. We are glad to see that you enjoyed the ocean view!
Carol L. Dec 2015
The views are spectacular. Walk down a rocky path to the beach. Was great. The furnishings all need replacing. Please get twin beds in one room. It's easier for the kids to get to sleep and boys and girls don't need to share a bed. Like soft toilet paper? Bring your own. Small thing but really. Add $2 to housecleaning supplies. Place was clean. We had a great time. Furniture uncomfortable. OLD, old furniture. However all that said it's a beautiful spot and we had a great time. No help from the furniture.
Angela H. Oct 2015
This is a beautiful part of the Oregon Coast and view is breathtaking. Great place to relax and access shopping, dining or touring easy. Want to stay longer next time.
Manager response:
Thanks for sharing your review. We hope you come back soon and have that chance to stay longer!
Kathryn R. Aug 2015
We rented this property for a family trip and chose it because my mother is aging and can't get around like she used to. It was perfect for her to sit inside or on the deck and just 'watch' the ocean. We also happened to be there with perfect weather which isn't usually the case at the Oregon Coast. We would definitely stay here again.
Barbara E. Jul 2015
Enjoyed our stay here very much!
Crystal K. Apr 2015
The view was amazing, great house. ..would definitely stay again!
Lora C. Mar 2015
The beach access is just one house away. If you enter the beach and head to the right, you can walk for easily an hour and not run into a stream that you have to traverse or turn back. Love it.
Brenda A. Feb 2015
Over all our experience was great. Great view with easy beach access!
Malcolm M. Dec 2014
Newly renovated, this house has a wonderful view of Gleneden Beach. Also a plus is that there is a yard and small deck that would provide an area outside for the kids or dogs. The large kitchen and sitting area are set up well for an informal get together - cocktails, etc. The one negative comment was that during severe weather, with heavy rain and wind, the house was too noisy! Almost like being inside of a drum....
