Clean, light, down the street from beach access. Pretty awesome collection of DVDs as well.

The house is cute and cozy, well equipped with everything we needed. It’s a short walk to beach in a quiet little village, gorgeous beach full of sand dollars, Great home base for exploring Olympic Peninsula. Not touristy, although Ocean Shores is a hop-skip away if you want it. Trading post has amazing Indian Taco Tuesday!

Location for getting to the beach is great. Comfortable accommodations in the cottage. Wonderful location for very quiet and great ocean view. The porch at cottage was great for the two of us. We would defiantly stay at the cottage again.

So clean and tidy. Cute beachy decorations. Lots of towels and kitchen supplies. Loved the fireplace. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was the perfect cozy size for me, my husband and our dog. There's a small gas station deli/grocery near by that is a good option for a few things if you forget something. They have God homemade cinnamon rolls too. You should bring most of the groceries with you though unless you want to drive back into Ocean Shores. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, pots & pans, coffee pot, microwave, and a full size refrigerator and oven. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Shower is a little small but fine. Loved this cabin and hope to visit again.

We spent 4 days at Driftwood Cottage and had a wonderful time and would love to do it again. The beach is very large and not crowded. The house is small but was a great size for the two of us and a dog.

This sweet cottage was a delightful winter get away. We visited the rain forest and went for a windy beach walk. There was even some sun...mostly rain however which is to be expected this time of year. The cottage was cozy and warm with a nice view of the ocean.

This property is on a very quiet residential street. It is across the street from the beach, with views of the waves in several different places between houses. The house was very clean and well equipped. We did not know what to expect as we read some very negative reviews. It is much nicer in person than the pictures show, so that was a great surprise. The house is heated with a gas heat fireplace, it will heat the entire house very well, but it takes awhile. We were there when it was snowing and we were plenty warm. The bathroom was well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soaps. The kitchen was well stocked, including basics like flour, sugar and a large variety of spices. One room has a full size bed, the second room has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom. The couch also converts to a bed, but we did not check it out. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The only small thing I would have liked to have was a coat rack or hook at the front door. Vacasa communicated daily and were responsive to our needs and questions. I will definitely stay here again and will be checking my calendar for available dates.

Couldn’t have asked for anything more from this place or the location. First, the place itself is perfectly decorated in a way that gives you all the ocean vibes. It’s very bright and clean, and has all the amenities you could ask for. A few things to point out - the green bedroom actually has a bunk bed now but the bottom bed is still large enough for an adult; there is a wall mounted TV now that seems to be slightly larger than the photos, which was nice; and the shower is slightly small but still a shower nonetheless. Second, the location is perfect - we were able to walk out the front door and take our dog for a run on the beach (~1/3 mile walk from the beach entrance). The town of Moclips is pretty small but it’s really quaint and relatively close to all the other towns (just South of it is Seabrook which is pretty upscale and has a really nice, albeit small, grocery store).
Would definitely love to come back to this place again, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a little coastal getaway.

From the moment we walked in, we felt cozy and comfortable. The house was sparkly clean and had everything we needed (and more) for our family stay at the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, there were plenty of linens, games, movies, wi-fi, fireplace, and view of the beach from the front porch. We loved this cute cottage and would definitely stay here again.

Cottage was cozy and perfect for our 3-day stay. With close access to the beach, hiking less than an hour away, and a warm and cozy fireplace we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! One note — the neighbors dogs are very friendly but off leash. If your pup is nervous around other dogs - just something to keep in mind.

A quiet private space within ear and eye shot of the Pacific Ocean.

The neighborhood is so quiet and very friendly! It is a perfect location to watch a beautiful sunset and enjoy the sounds of the waves. The kitchen is well stocked and the fireplace is a champ for chilly nights. We can’t wait to go back!
Debra M.Aug 2020
Close to the beach on a quiet road. Well-equipped kitchen. Tiniest shower I’ve ever seen, but house was clean and comfortable.
Theresa K.Aug 2020
Very cozy. We had a very pleasant stay. Plenty of towels and toiletries. The shower and bathroom was very small though. If you are tall and big you won't fit!
J.M. H.Jul 2020
Layout gave it a roomy feel
Well appointed clean and close to beach
Nice neighborhood feeling
Judith G.Jul 2020
The price is good for a 2 bdrm cottage across the road from the beach. The beds were comfy but there were no blankets on the bunk beds. No dishwasher (not a big deal) but no dish towels for drying dishes. Kitchen was well stocked but there was produce left in the frig as well as a bottle of Champagne with no mention of whether it was a welcome gift or not so we left it.
There is a minor sugar ant problem on the cabinet to right of stove. T.V. screen is very small & no cable but lots of movies to play. Easy access to beach.
Phyllis F.Jun 2020
Well appointed, great location, clean. Highly recommend this cottage. Super cute!
Amy D.Jun 2020
This house was far from clean, there was sand all over the floor and couch, the bed in the main room had stained/dirty sheets (thank god we brought extra blankets as they also didn't leave any extra ones), we pulled out the hid-a-bed in the Livingroom and there were long blank hair on the sheets UNDER the blanket so that bed was definitely NOT cleaned after someone else slept in it!! There were chucks of food in ALL the drawers and cupboards and chunks of old hard food where the "clean" food utensils are kept. We had to wash EVERYTHING before we could actually bring in and unpack our own things and try to relax like we paid to do. We had to spend almost 2 hours cleaning before we could even unpack our own things in a place that WE had to play a cleaning fee for, for it to not even be clean and to have to clean it ourselves. The photos show TWO full size beds. NOPE, we arrived and one room has a bunk bed and NO where in the add does it say that or we would've looked elsewhere as we did NOT want bunk beds. Our check out time was changed just days before we were set to arrive and check in, of course we couldn't cancel and go else where at that point or they keep all your money but yet they change your reservation after you pay!?!?!?!?!?! I emailed asking why our check out time was changed on Thursday 6/11/20, it is now Monday 6/15/20 and STILL no reply from them. Light bulbs were missing out of the lamps, no light switches worked except for the bathroom light. The drawer handles in the kitchen are broken. We 100% felt like we rented a party house that is not upkept what-so-ever but they have photos to make it appear as it is. We are 4 moms who were very excited to get away for the weekend and have a break, sadly this house did not provide that for us. There were also drug addicts riding bikes up and down the street past the rental all day and night, cops sitting there watching them, more then once we were asked if we had some change for them to get a beer, then they were hostile and rude when we said we didn't have any cash on us. Us 4 ladies did NOT feel safe on our stay, I do not recommend this house unless you are young and just looking for any type of place to party. If you are older, looking for a relaxing & quite weekend and to be in a clean house then this is NOT the spot for you. I almost don't even recommend using VACASA to rent as they never even responded to our concerns we sent them on Thursday 6/11/2020, no communication or customer service. Our relaxing weekend was far from relaxing and we feel this was a rip off and we are out money and we paid over $400 bucks to have clean our rental, be harassed by drug addicts, and NOT feel safe! I'm sure NO type of refund will be given as there is no sense of customer service, we are takin it as a loss and looking for another place to go that we can actually enjoy our time at.
Hi, Amy! We are sorry to read the bed arrangement surprised you in any way. We will ensure all photos and descriptions are up-to-date. The light bulbs have been replaced, and the light switches have been fixed. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our trip!! My kids (7, 3 & 1) are already asking when we're going back!!
This home was good (not great) for kids, adults and the dog. But the location and price are probably what will make us go back!!
Full kitchen- no need to dine out
Amazing pillows and bedding
Plenty of seating in the livingroom
Quick drive to the beach
Quiet street & neighbors
Ocean view (partial)
Twin-full bunk beds & a full in the other room
Sleeper sofa in the livingroom
Dog bowl & towel
Obviously pet friendly, including the neighbors
Step stool for the kids in the bathroom
Shampoo, conditioner & bar soap
Plenty of towels
Enough TP for 3 people for 3 days
Close to a convenience store
Was able to fit a pack n play in one of the rooms
Location, location, location!!
The yard was unkept and hard to clean up/walk the dog
A few ants in the house, near the dining room
No dishwasher nor laundry
Stereo had a broken antenna and did not get good reception
Very small TV, hard to watch from the couch
Lots of stuff for little hands to get into
The neighbors let their dogs off leash and into the yard
Outdoor trash was full
No bath tub
No beach access directly across the street, too far to walk all the way down with a 3 and 1 year old
No screen on front window- bugs
No kids movies
The games were in complete disarray
Definitely an old house with a fresh paint job
This review is purely to help people with kids know what to expect. In reality, we had an aaaaaaamazing stay and plan on going back!!!!!! Just a couple things I will plan for accordingly, NEXT TIME!! :)
Thank you for your review, Chrystal. We are glad you enjoyed this home and apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. We will work with our local team to ensure these items are corrected for future guests. We hope to host you again in the near future!

I went for 1 night with a few friends and the pup. The house is cute and very clean. I slept great. Just a short walk to the beach. It was a much needed relaxing stay.

A cure little cabin to spend a few days at the beach. Very clean and cozy.
Beth M.Oct 2019
The house was cute and clean inside with all the cooking and cleaning amenities we needed. There rooms were cozy and nice. The location was right near the beach and it was beautiful. We took the short trip up to the quinalt rainforest and it was an easy drive from the house.
Lora B.Sep 2019
Really nice place, all the amenities, comfortable and cheery, the beach just a short amble across bustling (not!) Pacific Avenue.
Barbara R.Sep 2019
It was perfect for me and my dog. It is a quiet and peaceful spot. We got to do daily morning and evening walks, which my dog loved. There was barely anybody around, which made it even more perfect. As the shower/bathroom is small, it worked. No cell phone service, but I could work from my MacBook. Thank you for sharing your cute little beach bungalow! I love MoClips.
Darlene H.Aug 2019
Its a lovely small cabin very close to the beach, Beds are double and shower is tight so not great if you are very tall, was fine for my husband and myself. Has everything one needs for a vacation space.
Tiffany M.Jul 2019
Such a great stay on the ocean! The Cottage was a perfect size for a family of 4 and our pup ♡ had everything we needed ♡ quiet little community ♡ the beach was amazing ♡ beautiful drives to Ocean Shores and Lake Quinault!
Thomas L.Jul 2019
The cottage is small but worked for our family of 4. The kids loved how close we were to the beach. They're already asking to go back!
Jen P.Jun 2019
What a wonderful place. For a couple or small family with a pet. open your door to a beautiful beach scene. Minutes from the beach. very comfy place with awesome beach atmosphere. we will definitely be back. Had the most amazing weekend.
Debbie H.May 2019
Enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We had a mostly stocked kitchen, fireplace, the place was roomy enough for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. Only thing was shower was quite small, but water was hot ! Close enough to beach and a small view. Met 2 neighbors who were friendly. Would stay here again.
Marriah M.May 2019
Our stay was wonderful and so relaxing! There were even ‘dog’ towels left for our use if needing to dry our puppers off after playing on the beach all day! My only suggestion is to bring a cozy blanket to keep warm with while sitting on the porch enjoying the sunrises/sunsets and to bring a sheet to cover the couch/beds. I tried my best to keep my dog off of both but she would sneak up in the middle of the night
DOUG P.Apr 2019
This was a great place to stay. There's a small view of the ocean and having Wi-Fi was a bonus. If you're clamming, you'll need to bring your own large pot for processing, otherwise it was well equipped. We would stay in this home again.
Tina F.Jan 2019
Moclips is a very small town of beach homes on both sides of a street. Driftwood Cottage, though on the 2nd row from the beach view, had a beautiful peek-a-boo view of a few days of fabulous sunsets. A short walk down the street to the beach. It is a dog-friendly cottage on a secluded beach that a few pups loved racing about on. I dont think we ever had more than 15 others on the beautiful NY Eve beach.
We mostly just enjoyed the residents and hanging out at the simple and tastefully decorated Driftwood Cottage, but took a few beach and woods hikes and even drove down the coast for opening day for razor clams. We did enjoy the stocked firepit in the long driveway on NY Eve!
Come prepared with food desires if you don't want to hit the few local restaurants, as The Country Store has minimal supplies.
The Cottage has adequate cookware. We did have a few issues with w of the burners on the cooktop. There also were 2 outlets with lamps in the living room that did not work.
Except for under the couch cushions, the cottage was clean, the beds were super comfy with extra bed linens and towels.
My one suggestion is the booking. The home said dog friendly. As I was completing the booking process, the agreements said no dogs. I called and was told yes, they were okay and I could add after booking. I was told it was $20 per day extra. I agreed and when I went to add them, it was more like $25...PER DOG. Very misleading, as I was up front that I wanted to bring 2. It should be in the initial booking, that way, if I want to back out, I am not penalized. Rates should be posted, not sprung on you after you are locked in.
Thanks for staying with us, Tina! We appreciate your detailed review. Our local manager has been to the property, and the stove and outlets are all working properly. For the pet fee, it is $20 per dog per day, and there are taxes involved as well.

This very cozy, tidy, two bedroom (small rooms with full size beds) cottage is steps from the beach. Moclips is a lovely, clean, wide beach and is dog friendly. We rented the place at the last minute to get away from the heat wave in Seattle. We arranged a late check in with ease. The management company was pleasant and responsive. Some other pleasant touches: an easy to use DVD system with a nice DVD library, an electric kettle, a clean gas grill, lots of towels, comfy beds, and a gas "wood" stove that heats up quickly. This cottage is on a dead end street that is very quiet. A well stocked kitchen will allow you to cook whatever food you bring along.
