My partner and I spent a week here after 9 weeks of sheltering-in-place at our urban condo. Port Orford was a great location for getting outside and this was a central location - near 3 state parks, though beach access was by driving, not walkable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans and the view from the loft was beautiful. I would not recommend this for multiple couples - there are no doors to the bedrooms so everything is open and sound travels from the bottom floor up to the loft, the only areas with doors are the bathrooms and the enclosed balcony off of the loft. However, this was spacious for one couple and a small dog. Fantastic that this place is dog friendly! A few things could use some work - we weren’t able to use the main lockbox and had to call Vacasa to locate a secondary box when we got in, there is no real view from the deck because the trees and bushes are overgrown, no deck furniture is provided (we brought camp chairs) though there is a grill on the deck. Finally, the cleanliness of the place was not up to par. The bed in the loft was not made when we arrived and what appeared to be dirty linens were left in a pile nearby so we had to wash linens to make the bed for us to sleep. Some of the dishes in the cupboard had dirty fingerprints and residue so we washed everything before using. And the total ew factor - there were hundreds of bugs in the house, mainly in the lower level. They appeared to be pill bugs. We saw about 20 on entry and assumed the place hadn’t been used in awhile so we vacuumed everything thoroughly on arrival, but we were disappointed to find many more the following day. There were much fewer in the main level and loft where we primarily stayed, but it was definitely an annoyance and I even woke up one night with a crawling bug on my arm, which was definitely bothersome! I hope the owners will get an exterminator to close things up and get rid of the insect issue.

We really enjoyed our stay. A beautiful view and cozy home. Two little bits kept me from giving this 5 stars. The bed down stairs had a huge divot which I found unpleasant. Also the jacuzzi trips the breaker about 15 minutes in. If those two things could be fixed I would rate this place 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again.
We are so glad to read you enjoyed your stay! The property manager has scheduled an inspection for the bed and jacuzzi so we can address any repairs or replacements necessary. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at Singing Winds. The home was super clean, it’s got a great open floor plan with lots of natural light. The self check in process was extremely easy as well. Overall it’s a very nice place that I would definitely stay at again.

The location and town was great. Wonderful neighbors. The property had everything we needed and we walked into town and around the neighborhood. Visit the historic coast guard house and property. I wish the jacuzzi was working, but it wasn’t. And some outdoor furniture would be great to enjoy the view and beautiful weather.
Thank you for staying with us, Anette! We have scheduled maintenance to address the jacuzzi, and we have suggested patio furniture to the owner. We hope to see you again!

Loved our stay on the coast. House has plenty of room. Nice kitchen. Has 2 and 1/2 baths. Centrally located in Port Orford. Would suggest supplemental heating in lower bedroom space. Close proximity of wall furnace to TV seating area makes for uncomfortable viewing.
We would definitely recommend "Singing Winds"!
Hi Judy, we appreciate your recommendations regarding the heating proximity to the TV. Our owners are more than happy to comply and have added heaters to the lower bedroom. The couch has been rearranged for a more comfortable viewing experience. We hope you will return back soon. Thank you.
