This cabin was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Plenty of room to spread out if you have multiple family units or teenagers. Large master loft bedroom/bathroom combo with comfy bedding and plenty of storage. Hot tub was wonderful and towels were provided. I noticed a gas grill was available but we didn't use it. The fireplace is wood burning and there was plenty of good wood available. It was in the garage rather than on the porch which was however a very minor inconvenience. Also....there were only 2 matches provided so be sure to grab a lighter or matches at the store when you go. The kitchen was well stocked, everything worked, and there was a starter supply of most supplies.

I had mixed feelings about the location. It is a true ski in/ski out but the getting out portion can be a little tricky. You have to ski down to the White Otter lift through an unmarked trail and then across a path that can get pretty flat. (PR should invest in better signage all the way around for the ski trails). All that to say if you have beginner skiers its not a technically difficult path but it could mean some walking. Skiing in was much easier and once you recognize the access roads you are able to ski directly in to the back door of this cabin at the end of the day. Make sure you take Powder Ridge Access to Rising Bull to Chief Gull access. If you take Rose Bud access like the address would indicate you will come up short of the cabin and have to walk. (lesson learned)

The Powder Ridge area is very nice. It's a scenic location and the roads were maintained and the garage area was cleared for us. It is however not walking distance to Mountain Village. If you want plan to get out at all other than during ski times, you will need a car. Not a negative just a note for anyone wondering if a car will be needed.

We were missing washcloths for the master bath but we made do with some from the other bathrooms. There was a good supply of towels otherwise and didn't have to spend time washing which is nice. Laundry area is on the lower level.

My only real complaint was actually with the early check in availability. According to the website the cabin was empty for several days prior to arrival. The website advertises that if early check in is available we would be notified. I had inquired about potentially coming late the night before for a possibly discounted rate and never received any answer or feedback. Our flight came in late so we just stayed in Bozeman instead. When I inquired about checking in early the following day I was told that was not an option even though the rep acknowledged the cabin was empty. Considering the state of travel affairs right now I was just disappointed that every effort wasn't made to allow us in early.

All in all we had a wonderful trip and would confidently recommend this cabin and area.
Manager response:
Hello, Kristina! Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're happy to hear that an enjoyable experience was had by all involved! We appreciate you letting us know the areas in which to improve. We aim to have 1 bath towel, 1 hand towel, and one washcloth per guest and apologize if this was not the case. At this time we are not permitting early check-in as an option to guests as we need to schedule adequate housekeeping for our homes. We are more than happy to accommodate adding days upon request. Please feel free to contact our Guest Service line for the most prompt assistance. We appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

This is a great place to spend time with family, enjoy local hikes and visit Yellowstone. I highly recommend the cabin and Vacasa.

Great ski home! Well equipped.

We had a great stay and this home very comfortably served my family of 7 adults and 2 small children. We only had a couple minor issues that can be easily rectified - dishwasher never worked and garage door code also stopped working. 4:00 check-in time is also a burden as most of our flights arrived by 1pm and we had to bide our time, with lots of luggage until we could get in.
Highly recommend this home, the Vacasa process was easy except for the early check in request.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Robert. We are sorry that these items happened during your stay. We are pleased that our local staff reported that these items have been addressed and are all working properly. We look forward to hosting you again.

For what we needed, it was good. Pictures exaggerate the size a bit. It's tight in the living and dining and kitchen areas. Property manager was responsive the one time we reached out for a need.
Manager response:
Hello Matthew, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always recommend our guests view the virtual tour so they can see the actual size and measurements of the home. We do apologize for any confusion. We do hope you will allow us to host you again in the future.

We loved how perfectly this home fit our family reunion trip (9 adults, 1 child). 4 bedrooms plus a separate den with a comfy sofa sleeper gave everyone plenty of privacy. 3 people shared each of the 2 bathrooms on the top and main floors and 4 shared the bath on the bottom floor. The 2 sink areas on the bottom floor provided even more convenience. Ski in/out was a bit difficult to figure out initially but once we figured it out, it was awesome! Big oven easily accommodated our Christmas dinner feast. Too bad we didn't realize how well the kitchen was stocked because we pre-ordered groceries from the WalMart in Bozeman & ended up having far more than we needed. Hopefully the next group will find everything they need before they even go grocery shopping. The place was great and we had a blast!
