The cabin was beautiful. I read the reviews where things was messed up or didn't work and so on. Here is the deal... you are staying on a flipping mountain. Yes the driveway is steep but not bad at all. Everything else was above my expectations. People need to realize the environment you are staying in and stop picking apart every little detail. We would and will definitely stay here again.

We. Loved. Our cabin. Minus the super steep driveway, everything was perfect to the T. Sugar Bear was everything we wanted and more. Will definitely come back again!

The cabin itself was nice. For a family of 4 we had enough room for a few days stay. However, we had found many issues regarding the cleanliness of the cabin. I won’t go into to details but let’s just say I doubt anyone would want to experience them. The kitchen could use some additional cooking supplies such as pots and pans. We had 1 oversized usable pot and the others were either falling apart or just not worth trying to use. The burners on the stove were not plugged in properly and the entire stay we thought we only had 1 working burner. I’m no fool but I know how to plug in a stove top burner. I guess should have checked that. We had to call and ask for trash bags as they left only 1. The fireplace did not work nor did the technician who came fix it know where the propane tank was to check that so we had now fireplace. There was no welcome book or instruction as how things should work, what to do when you leave, or who to call if you have problems. I don’t know if these issues are from the owner or the management group renting it out. Either way of rent this place go through and make sure things are cleaned to your liking and everything works. Vacasa did refund our fees so I won’t bash them too hard just giving the facts and my opinion.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Nathan! We apologize for the cleanliness upon your arrival, and for the maintenance issues you encountered surrounding the stovetop and fireplace. We have worked closely with the local staff to deep clean the home and ensure future cleanings and inspections live up to the Vacasa standard. We have also serviced the stove, and have since removed the fireplace from this listing until it can be properly serviced. We hope for a chance to host you again in the future!

Just an honest review of cabin compared to others ive stayed in for the same price or cheaper.
Updates needed in our opinion :
The cook ware , two old worn out frying pans from goodwill was not good.
The kitchen sink leaks.
The thermostat does not easily go into mode position and there’s no auto on it.
The bathroom has no exhaust gets a mess when taking a shower.
The kitchen has no exhaust.
The hot tub needs a light by it .
The stairs going to the cabin needs fixed , breaking apart trip hazard.
The stove burners get hot and come out of socket
Big holes in driveway driveway turn in
The wood floor in front room is Buckled , trip hazard
The goods :
Nice view , beautiful wood work WiFi , cable , upstairs bed was comfy , even pull out couch was

steep driving way that needs repaired. unsafe steep steps, poison oak or Ivy growing across the steps. hot tub a mess scum around the water line. mold on the bathroom floor. rust in the microwave. no place to put your over flow trash. Too much to list. I would not recommend staying here.

The accommodations were extremely clean and all of the bedrooms were very comfortable! Plenty of space! The home had a true feel of a cabin!

No air hockey table as indicated by post.
Back left burner on stove not working
It rained during our stay and roof was leaking over the kitchen windows, all items on the counter next to garbage were destroyed or wet!
Outdoor hot tub had funky smell...
Pool table rack (for balls) cracked
Slates coming up to cabin broken or dangerous to walk on.
Driveway is steep, yes, however the potholes on the driveway are worse!
We got stuck twice!
They need to be repaired!
The WiFi provided was to be desired! Glad we had our phones!

Nice place close to both the national park and the city

Great base camp for any adventure around the smokys. Comfortable, cozy and clean this cabin was the right size for us.
Brandy H. Jul 2020
The only bad thing i can say about this cabin is #1- the driveway is terrible and #2 the steps going up the hill can be tricky with a handful of luggage or kids.
Other than that the place is wonderful. Hot tub is a nice amenity. I loved that we could leave the door open to the porch and the kids could go in and out as they pleased. Bed was comfy. I would suggest maybe getting that bowed spot in the living room fixed , as its a tripping hazzard. But we just slid the coffee table over it to keep the baby from falling. All in all, we would definitely rent again!
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Brandy. We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement, and we'll pass your suggestions to the owner for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

We had a wonderful stay, wish I could have been there longer.

This location is central to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so it is in the middle of all of the biggest attractions. It is 45-60 mins from some of the outdoor attractions of the mountains, but it is nice. The place was very clean when we got there, was well-equipped, and was a very comfortable stay!

It was in a great location

This was a four day get away and the cabin did not disappoint. Very convenient to the Parkway but far enough away from the crowds. The cabin was cozy and the whole rental process was a breeze. I gave only four stars due to some minor things such as the very steep driveway that, if bad weather was a factor I’m not sure we would have be able to navigate. Also, if you look closely at the pictures, you may be able to see where the living room floor is buckled causing a major trip hazard. One other note, when it rains, and it rained a lot, there is a roof leak in the bathroom. The cabin overall needs some maintenance but we still enjoyed our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and the hot tub was amazing!
