Spectacular oceanfront, dog-friendly home with space for 10!
If you're looking for an oceanfront, dog-friendly home with amazing views and space for up to 10 guests, look no further than this wonderful Rockaway Beach vacation rental! When you stay here you will be just steps from the beach, and you will enjoy a home that has plenty of space and entertainment options for everyone.
Located a couple miles north of Rockaway Beach proper, in the Nedonna Beach area of town, this home is perched right on a fantastic stretch of coastline. You can step off the patio and walk right out onto the beach, watch for whales from inside the living room, or explore Rockaway Beach itself without straying too far from this home.
With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, this home has enough space for as many as 10 guests and two dogs. Please note that if you would like to bring your furry friends with you (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply). But that's a small price to pay to see the pure joy on your dog's face as he frolics through the sand!
Walk up several stairs to reach the front door, and step inside this home to find a bright and welcoming living space with plenty of sunshine streaming in through the ocean-facing windows. The living room has some cozy seating, a flatscreen TV, and the star of the show: huge picture windows that offer views of the beach and the sea. Entertainment options available throughout the home include WiFi access, cable TV, Blu-ray/DVD players, board games, and books, though you may be content to enjoy the gorgeous views.
This upper level also houses a full, open kitchen. Complete with double ovens, a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and plenty of other tools and equipment, the chef in your group will have no trouble cooking up tasty meals here. A dining room table and a breakfast bar provide places for everyone to sit and enjoy a hot breakfast before heading out for a morning walk on the beach.
Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms, and there is one bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a cozy sitting area by the windows, a flatscreen TV, and an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and a marvelous jetted bathtub. Two more bedrooms each contain a lovely queen-size bed, and there's another full bathroom with a tub/shower combination accessible from the hallway.
Downstairs you will find a large play room that provides more entertainment options. There's a pool table, a stereo, a card table, seating, and even a set of weights. This would be a great way for teenagers to have their own space to hang out, or for an entire family to have a quiet room of their own to chat. A convenient bathroom is on this level, as well as a sleeper sofa and two armchairs that fold out into twin-size beds.
Altogether with the three bedrooms and additional sleeping options downstairs, this home has plenty of space for 10 guests. While you're here you will also enjoy a laundry room, an outdoor patio area, a grill stored in the garage, and two adult bicycles that you're welcome to use.
Because you're so close to the beach, you will want to spend plenty of time strolling along the sand and enjoying the fresh sea air. Watch for whales during migration season, or enjoy a fabulous coastal sunset every evening. Right here in Rockaway Beach you will find just about everything you may need, including great restaurants, a market, and some souvenir shops. If you want to drive into a larger town, take a 25-minute drive down the highway to Tillamook, which has an amazing and famous cheese factory, a variety of restaurants, and plenty of stores.
If the weather is nice, be sure to explore more of the beautiful Northern Coast! Just west from Tillamook is the Cape Meares State Park, which has hiking areas, jaw-dropping viewpoints, and a historic lighthouse. You could also go boating, fishing, or crabbing in the Tillamook Bay, or Nehalem Bay (just north of Rockaway Beach). If you do drive north, stop in at Oswald West State Park or Ecola State Park for more hiking, scenic viewpoints, and picnic areas. With so much to do in the area, you won't have trouble finding ways to stay busy!
Loved the location and access to the beach. Liked the layout of the house.
Todd L.Sep 2019
This was a beautiful beach front property with excellent amenities. Direct path to beach. Well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds. Great pool table room where family spent many hours. Great selection of family games. Quiet community with very private beaches (far fewer tourists than Cannon Beach).
Daniel G.Aug 2019
Loved the direct beach access, the quiet beach and the views from the house.
James S.Jul 2019
Great location, house was well kept and beach was amazing. Lots to do in surrounding area or you can just look out the window to an amazing view.
Sandra S.Jun 2019
this is our 4th year visiting and we love this home and the location right on the beach. They did update some furnishings & dishes this year, thanks! I would say all the extra knick knacks on the counters & tables really just get in the way of putting our stuff down so maybe less of that. Overall though my favorite house!
Barbara J.Apr 2019
The home was clean and the beach access was as expected. The kitchen was very well supplied. We enjoyed the view and pool table when we were inside.
Wilma D.Mar 2019
Kitchen and living room being open kept everyone on the same topic of conversation. The beach being so close was easy for everyone hopefully we'll be back
Jarrod M.Feb 2019
The view as well as the pool table area. We were there for our mothers celebration of life. The whole family came together and had a superb stay much appreciated.
Matt R.Dec 2018
Great home with gorgeous ocean views!
Martin M.Nov 2018
This house's light-filled rooms had a beautiful view, and being right on the beach was super convenient for venturing out on walks. It had a great kitchen for group meals. One thing I'd note it that it has 3 beds and can comfortably sleep 6, but if you wanted to host more guests they'd need to use the fold out sleeping pads.
Kristin C.Oct 2018
We've stayed in this home several times in the last few years and it's always wonderful.
Angela R.Aug 2018
House is extremely spacious. Secluded from crowds. Quiet neighborhood. All the appliances were to our satisfaction. Bonus on the dinosaurs that were found in the closet, my nephew loved them! Loved having a washing machine to throw in a load of wet clothes. All in all our family really enjoyed themselves that we're already planning a visit next year.
William Z.Jul 2018
House well appointed, with the beach just outside your dinning area. A few interesting or should I say quirky things to note:
-The master bedroom has a large window that looks into the living room. While this gives the room some additional view, it also allows people in the living room to look-in to the bedroom, as the one-way mirror glass isn't 100% one-way, especially at night, if you have a light on in the bedroom. The window drape helps, but oddly it doesn't cover the whole window. (My wife and I just turned our lights off before getting into bed)
-The windows don't open, obviously in need of repair with very old signs saying they shouldn't be opened. I'm not sure why the owners don't fix that, as you need some ventilation due to the solar gain from the westerly facing windows.
David B.Jul 2018
This is a nice home right on the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and large meal gatherings work in the space.
Keith T.Jun 2018
Beautiful home. Quiet beach. Nice weather.
Rick M.May 2018
If you have good weather, access to a long flat beach is there. If not, there's plenty to do with the pool table and plenty of games.
Teddi B.May 2018
We all loved where the house was located -- just steps from the beach! The upstairs of the home is much nicer than the downstairs so we spent all of our time up there enjoying the view when we weren't outside. The beds downstairs were uncomfortable.
Johanna G.Apr 2018
We loved our time in Rockaway! We had 6 adults, a baby and a dog and this house was the center of all the action. It met all of our needs and then some! We cooked, went to the beach, played pool, and filled the house up with laughter!
Deina T.Jan 2018
For future guests they might want to bring chairs to sit on the patio outside. Extra blankets for the fold out beds downstairs. There are plenty of cups and dishes, silverware etc. Only a few pots and pans.
The kitchen is big enough to hang out and visit with the cook if you wanted to.
Beautiful views from the windows.
We had alot of fun playing pool.
Bring cards or board games for adults.
Bring dvd movies.
Savannah R.Jan 2018
If you want an excellent place with a spectacular view this is the house to rent! The house was spotless, showed little to no wear and tear and provided all the amenities one would expect in a home rental. The beds were comfortable and clean. We had not one complaint except that we had to leave it. Location, location, location was beyond our expectations.
James P.Dec 2017
We enjoyed our stay especially the closeness to the beach. The large living areas was nice for our family meals and activities.
Debra M.Nov 2017
The house was a little more worse for wear this time over last year but you absolutely can’t beat the view or location. Everything was in good working order (love the water pressure!) and while the kitchen was fairly well stocked anyone who likes to cook should probably bring along their own knives and specialty cook wear.
Ruth K.Oct 2017
We celebrated my husband's birthday with our 3 grandkids, our son & daughter-in-law & 2 dogs. The house was spacious & beautiful decorated & furnished. The view from the house was breathtaking & the beach, literally outside our door was amazing. We look forward to staying there again.
Tommy T.Oct 2017
We had a great time
Arline J.Oct 2017
There were six of us and we found that the house easily would accommodate more. We were very comfortable. The amenities are above and beyond other properties we have stayed at. And very kid friendly with lots of activities and toys for the young and order. The beach access was very friendly to those of us who have trouble walking on rocks. There were none on that beautiful short walk to the beach.
Mary S.Sep 2017
Heather W.Sep 2017
We had an awesome time in this house. Beautiful view.. Very clean..
Corey S.Aug 2017
Clean and well organized. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the Oregon Coast this is it.
Lots of visitor sites available and close to this central location. Wish we could have stayed longer.
David K.Aug 2017
First the good. This home is beautifully located just a short walk from the beach. There are no homes between you and the beach, and it is relatively private.
Unfortunately, those are the only good things I can say. When we arrived, there was food in the sink and the entire main floor smelled like rotten fish. The toilets were not clean (bowls and lids were both dirty). We had to drive all the way to Tillamook to buy bleach and clean the bathrooms.
It was a cool, cloudy weekend and we were excited to be able to build a fire, since the listing said there were two fireplaces. To our dismay, both fireplaces had a handwritten Post-It note on it saying "DO NOT USE". Total bummer.
We paid $2800+ for a 3 night stay, and besides the location, I can tell you it feels like we pretty much wasted all of that on this dirty, smelly, unmaintained place. DO NOT BOOK HERE.
Julie T.Jul 2017
We just loved being able to run right out onto the beach whenever we wanted. So close & beautiful. Wish the windows opened so we could listen to the roar of the waves. This house should be listed as sleeps 6. The sofa beds are too uncomfortable for children let alone adults. There should have been things like dishwasher soap & garbage bags provided for this price. We did enjoy it here. We would maybe stay again if we have less people
Sherel C.Jun 2017
Access to the beach outstanding, and the beauty of just a few people, seen two huge bald eagles feeding on beach.
Sandra S.Jun 2017
This house is so quiet & private with easy access to the beach and room for 3 couples or 3 people. Great for dogs and lovely views from all the common rooms not to mention the CSI window in the master bedroom! We loved it but bring your own cookware if you don't want to use teflon and be prepared to have a fireplace and grill that you can't use. Otherwise lovely & private!
Staci R.Apr 2017
Another great stay, thank you!
Erv Brenda W.Mar 2017
Had a great time. Loved the fact the house was right on the beach.
Konrad K.Mar 2017
Excellent location. Depending on the run-off from the mountains, you may encounter a river that could limit the length of the beach walk without getting wet. However, there is typically a bridge (for the old railroad) that will let you cross above the water. The beach is sandy, easy to walk on, and goes for miles.
There is a LOT of room in this house. Two rooms upstairs and one downstairs -- along with a common area. You also have a garage for your car, so you can park indoors. The pool table is a little the worse for wear. The living room is well-lighted with lots of windows to see across the bluff and out to the ocean. The kitchen and dining room table are well positioned for the views and to allow everyone to be part of the conversation that is going on. We particularly like the stove being in the island. It make it easy for the three of us to cook our meals together.
Make sure you bring condiments for the kitchen, the existing supplies are sparse.
We would have like to use the fireplace. Both were shown as "Please do not use" -- so if a fire is important to you, this is not the place for you. For views, access to the beach, furnishing, cleanliness, and room we LOVED our stay here.
Simon L.Mar 2017
The house was very clean, beautiful views and right on the beach! I was very impressed and I'm very picky.
Veronica L.Feb 2017
Loved this home! Everything was fully stocked and clean. BBQ was not functioning, but it looked like there was a new one in the garage ready to be set up. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Pamela M.Jan 2017
We enjoyed the home and beach very much! We felt the kitchen supplies not inventoried very well (no dishwasher soap, small amount of pepper) and kitchen appliances could be updated. Living room amazing and comfortable as well as king suite!
Debra M.Dec 2016
Our party of seven (plus two dogs) had a great, relaxing four night stay. All areas of the house were exceptionally clean. Website accurately describes the property except it really only sleeps eight (10 if two people sleep on sofas).
The earlier reviews about lack of kitchen supplies must have been heard and remedied because we had no big issues...some items were well used but selection was decent. Wifi and cable service were both very good even thru an awesome 24-hr storm. If you plan to BBQ during your stay check the propane upon arrival--the two tanks were both empty and we weren't going to call for service at 5 on Thanksgiving eve.
Regardless of the few minor negatives the positives were far more prevalent and we will definitely recommend this property and plan to stay here again.
Tessa C.Nov 2016
It was perfect. I didn't want to leave and definitely want to stay here again.
Irene B.Nov 2016
beautiful setting large home lots of room and storage. really only sleeps 8
Kristin C.Oct 2016
I would recommend the home to anyone. We've stayed there twice and plan to again in the future. The location is wonderful. You can walk out the backdoor right into the beach. The house is larger than it looks and had always been very clean.
Deborah J.Oct 2016
Very happy here.. Great beach access and on site facilities! Will come here again!
Ken G.Sep 2016
We were generally satisfied with our stay at the Beach Whale, as the house is large and the location excellent with great views, right on the beach. However, there were issues that kept a satisfactory stay from being a great one.
The listing states that there is a deck, and we called to confirm this, as the photos weren't clear (one photo on the listing actually shows the deck next door). Despite being told there was a deck, there is only a concrete slab outside the back door (so I guess a patio), with a grill and some chairs, but no table. We did spend some time out back, using our cooler as a table, but this was obviously a big disappointment for us, especially after we called to confirm.
In addition, some issues pointed out here in older reviews were still not taken care of: a broken bedroom lamp, refrigerator shelves held up with masking tape, non-functioning windows, poor toilet flushing, understocked kitchen compared to other vacation houses (only one wine glass, no foil/wrap, limited spices), no soap for the Jacuzzi tub, etc. A day's work and a $100 trip to Target could take care of a lot of these issues, so it's a shame that nobody has bothered to do so. It was also difficult to scramble up the steep dirt path on the side of the house every time we went for a walk on the beach after locking the front door.
As I said, the location was excellent, but the maintenance/quality of the home was below what we've experienced with other vacation rental services for lower rates and fees. We visit Oregon every year, and we'll have to think again about a Vacasa property.
We are sorry to see that there were some disappointments with this stay. The description has been updated to reflect that the home has a patio rather than a deck, the broken lamp has been removed, the refrigerator shelf has been fixed, wine glasses have been stocked, and the windows are functioning. There are sliding doors off the patio, but you do have to lock them from the inside and will need to walk around the house to the beach if you are leaving the home and want it locked up.
Mavel M.Aug 2016
The house is right on the beach but at the time of this review the layout of the house is misrepresented. There are two bedrooms on the main level and one bedroom in the low-level. The main level has the master bedroom with a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed. The lower level has a bedroom with a full size bed. The lower level does have a couch and two twin size sleeping mats. The layout issues caused us problems because we had a guest with some limited mobility issues. The house has a great living room area looking out onto the beach but the windows cannot be opened and the sun can be overwhelming since there are no blinds or shades to minimize the heat other than some very shear drapes. None of the fireplaces are functioning. There is central air and heat.
We apologize for the inconveniences experienced with this stay. We have put in a request with the editing department to update the information regarding the home's layout, and new photos will be taken soon.
JOHN M.Aug 2016
We had 8 adults stay in the Beach Whale House. We loved the location. Rockaway Beach is a quaint town and the beach is not crowded. This house had great access to the beach, even for those in our group that have trouble walking.
Great location and beach access just steps away (fairly flat path to beach)
House was clean
Showers clean and mildew free and shower pressure good and lots of hot water
Good amount of dishes and silverware
Plenty of pans/serving dishes
Pool table in good shape and enjoyed by all.
Lots of kids toys and sand toys.
Items to fix or improve:
We had 8 adults. House said it slept 10 but really only sleeps 6. The 2 pull out couches in the playroom are really only meant for kids.
One bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs (split level house). Online said all 3 bedrooms upstairs. All 3 bathrooms have showers/tubs
Kitchen missing a few essentials - only 2 wine glasses, can opener not functional
Victoria H.Aug 2016
We rented this house for my wedding party, and it was perfect! Everyone had such an amazing time playing pool, watching movies, and hanging out on the beach. The house and the property were beautiful, and just what I had hoped for.
David A.Aug 2016
We loved the house but needs deep cleaning, too much dog fur in the corners. We would still stay here again though. Location and beach is perfect.
Thomas H.Aug 2016
Excellent property. Great location, well equipped kitchen, and very clean. Worth every penny for our family reunion.
Kitty C.Jul 2016
The location is perfect! We never left the property because the beach was right there. It's great for families with kids. We cooked a lot and it felt roomy and open. We had a wonderful time!
Sue M.Jul 2016
This property has so much potential with a short walk to the waters edge and the view of the ocean. It's sad that we wouldn't rent this place again. The owner needs to spend time and energy to fix some items and upgrade the kitchen items. It needs a garbage disposal, new faucet in the kitchen, new fry pans, clean the BBQ, MB shower needs deep cleaning.
Thank you for telling us about your recent stay, we are sorry to hear that you would not want to return back to this home. We appreciate your feedback. With the information you provided, the local operations manager has been able to work with the housekeeping to schedule a deep cleaning for the master bathroom and clean the grill. We hope that these changes may change your mind. We hope that you choose Vacasa again to host a future vacation!
Carla F.Jun 2016
We booked this house for a little vacation with our adult, married children. It was perfect in every way! The house is gorgeous and in perfect condition. The beach is somewhat secluded and during the week we rarely saw anyone on it. The sand is clean and perfect for long walks. We enjoyed watching seals play near the jetty. The town of Rockaway Beach had activities on the weekend, but was very sleepy during the week, which was perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the stress of the city. Our family enjoyed this lovely home and the peaceful surroundings so much, we're going to try to book it again next year!
Jean O.May 2016
If I won powerball, I would be offering the owners whatever it took, to buy this house for our very own Beach retreat. The house is gorgeous. Everything you could ever want--view, private access to the beach, all the space in the world, amazing kitchen, etc.
We had such a great time and want to come back again.
Ann D.May 2016
This is a beautiful house with a beautiful view of the ocean. With the sand bank and shrubs to the south of the house, it feels secluded and private. The beach is lovely for walking! There is a jetty north of the house within walking distance and lots of driftwood. We saw some amazing forts that people had built with driftwood. The house was very clean upon arrival. Appreciated that it was pet friendly so we could bring our two little pugs. The pet cleaning fee may seem steep to some, but I think well worth it to know that the house is being cleaned well after pets have been in it. The showers were nice (decent pressure). Our only complaint was the two beds in the rooms, other than the one in the master, were very uncomfortable. They are probably fine for children but for us "older" ladies, they were too hard. Also, we were fortunate enough to have beautiful sunny weather when we were there in May and it got very hot in the living room in the afternoon and evening. There was a sign on the window that said it was broken so not to open it and the curtains were very thin and useless. Some blinds or thicker drapes would have been nice. Overall though, we loved this house and hope to go back again!!!
Susan V.May 2016
I love Rockaway -- a small beach town with wonderful flat beach and easy access from the house. Close to Manzanita, Cannon Beach, Tillamook and Seaside.
Like other reviewers, we thought the house was great and would rent it again - nice view, easy access to beach, and the kitchen/living area easily absorbed all 10 of us. But the beds are not as listed in their ad. We were 10 adult women, so double check with them before renting, or just bring some of your own like we did-- we brought an extra cot and sleeping bags. There are a couple of sleeping pads downstairs that can be used sleeping bags. Also - the kitchen lacked some basic supplies that have been supplied in other houses I've rented (coffee filters, saran wrap, enough dish and laundry soap, limited spices) -- so bring whatever you might need. Also, there is a very small concrete patio off the dining room which does have a nice view of the ocean. However, there is no table, just chairs and a BBQ. We did find a small card table to use along with the top of our cooler.
Tammie W.May 2016
very nice ,we enjoyed the quiet and the beach
Juan M.May 2016
My family loved the house, the beach, and the small town. Magnificent views, clean home, exactly as described. We will be there again!
Staci R.Mar 2016
We all really enjoyed our stay at this beach house! The view and beach access were great and the house was nice and clean. We loved that this house was dog-friendly to take our family pup along, yet it was still clean and smelled good. Just be sure to bring anything you think you might need in the kitchen because supplies were somewhat limited compared to other vacation homes we've rented. They do have a ton of dishes though! Things you might want to bring; a good frying pan, griddle, waffle maker, spatulas, measuring cups, dishwasher detergent (they supply enough for a couple loads), salt and pepper + spices, etc.
We hope to return to this house again!
Nicole M.Mar 2016
The house is lovely and the beach location is fantastic! Jut not fun in the high winds that the coast often brings.
Lorne S.Feb 2016
Great home right on the beach!!!
Adele U.Feb 2016
Our stay was fantastic. The property is well maintained. But please be aware that the bed situation is not as stated in the online description. We had people sleeping on the floor.
There are only 1 King bed in the Master upstairs, 1 Queen bed in upstairs room and 1 Double Bed in the downstairs bedroom. The online description stated that there are 1King, 2Queens in one bedroom, and 2 Doubles in another bedroom. It also does not tell you that only 2 bedrooms are upstairs and the other one is downstairs. This made a huge difference with my 95 yr old Mom who has trouble with stairs.
Other than this. It was perfect. Direct access to the beach, which is lovely. The place is clean and neat. We could have used a few more blankets, but there were lots of towels.
Ashley Rose S.Jan 2016
Our experience was awesome and the house was perfect. We were looking for a roomy comfortable place with a wonderful view that we could relax and get a lot of work done with an opportunity to step outside and be on the beach. It was everything we hoped it to be and more. We will return!
Cody B.Jan 2016
We stayed here over the Christmas holidays, from December 23/15 to January 2/16 and absolutely loved the entire 10 day stay. Our party was small, just myself, my husband and our two dogs and we felt completely at home as soon as we walked in. The views from the entire living space are second to none! The house was immaculate when we arrived and it is very thoughtfully decorated, a really lovely beachy feel. Beach access couldn't have been better, a level pathway from the sliding glass doors in the dining room right out to the beach. There was a lot of large driftwood on the beach at the time of our stay due to several winter storms just prior to our arrival and our dogs just loved running and playing amongst all of it. I cooked nearly every meal at home during our stay and found the kitchen to be roomy and very well equipped with the exception of the pots and pans. Two small pots and two small frying pans were not quite up to par, it all worked out fine although it would be nice to see that small issue improved upon. The bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable and we both slept very well. The living room furniture is really nice and comfortable as well, and we appreciated the cable TV on those rainy days and in the evenings. Our stay was very relaxing and calming, just what we needed after a very stressful year, a fantastic way to end the year and bring in the new one. It was such a treat to stay here and to have our two four-legged family members be able to join us. Thanks for sharing your home with our little family, we can't wait to come and stay again!
Jessica B.Jan 2016
What a fabulous home the Beach Whale is. The view is divine and the beach access is perfect. It's so comfortable to just sit in the living room and watch the waves crash and the storms roll by... or head out and walk the beach for miles! This is the cleanest home and the kitchen is stocked with just about everything you need. What a great place to get away to. Thank you very much!
Elizabeth A.Nov 2015
We had been working so hard and needed a break. What an amazing view to melt away all of those long hours in the office! The weather was very wet and stormy which was just perfect. We watched the weather, snuggled up, read our books, and loved every second of it. Beautiful home, and a great hideaway from the real world.
Phillip P.Nov 2015
Perfect for entertaining a few guests and right on the dune!! This property exceeded my expectation. Really nice and quite location and very nice place to land on a well deserved vacation.
Jody D.Nov 2015
We rented the Beach Whale, for a weekend, to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. Even though the weather was bad, we had a fabulous time. The house had plenty of room for 6 adults. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. We would definitely rent the Beach Whale home again. Thank you for sharing your home.
Mary A.Jun 2015
We enjoyed our stay very much. The weather was perfect and the children, 12,11 & 5
loved the beach. The arrangement of the bedrooms made it possible for grandparents to get a great night's sleep while the younger folks enjoyed their bedroom - play area. Kitchen and eating area is perfect - just needed a few extra items such as a wine bottle opener. Two windows were difficult if not impossible to open - needed that cool air in the late afternoon.
Lisa S.Jun 2015
This beach front home met all our expectations and more. The veiws and ease of access to the beach could not be better. Very quiet and nicely furnished. Plenty of cooking, serving and storage necessities. We had an absolutely wonderful time here and left with wonderful memories. Just a few little things to fix but all in all just a wonderful time and home.
Mary A.Jun 2015
We had a few hiccups. There was no booklet in the home to list check in/out procedures, the community or other things to know about the home.
The curtain rod fell off the wall when attempting to pull a cloth curtain closed. The windows would not open to allow for the sound of the ocean or breeze to penetrate the house. The refrigerator door brackets were falling off and I was worried they would all fall off during our stay making us look like we are too rough on the home. The circuit breaker was tripping from multiple appliance/stove top use in the kitchen.
And, lastly, there are no bikes there as the property advertises which was a bummer.
I brought my kids bikes and was going to use the adult bike to tour around with my kids. So, I was bummed about that.
However, VACASA was good about answering the phone and got a maintenance guy out so the window issue was resolved.
We apologize for the issues you came across in the home. The Property Manager has addressed the maintenance items you brought to our attention, and we have removed bikes from the listing. We hope you enjoyed your proximity to the beach!
Sergey C.Jun 2015
Excellent property. Everything you need is there. Excellent house for kids.
Maciej C.May 2015
I've stayed for 2 days with 6 of my friends. House is very nice and has character. We've parked both of our cars in the double garage. Kitchen is big and well equipped. The living room is also very nice. Wi-fi worked great and so did the TV, pool table, gas grill and any other equipment. Views of the beach from the living room and kitchen are amazing! Vacasa reps were easy to reach, nice and answered all of our questions -- big plus. Overall, we were very happy /w our stay and would go again.
Barbara G.May 2015
The women in our family have been celebrating a girls weekend for over 15 years. Our mother and Aunt are no longer with us (physically) but us girls have kept up the tradition. We have rented many homes through several different agencies and by far this has been our favorite..
The location is perfect and the house layout is great. We could have several ladies working in the kitchen without being all over each other, while others could sit around the island and visit. Whether your in the kitchen or living room you always have a view of the beach/ocean.
This year the four 50 plus ladies stayed Thursday - Saturday. Saturday night the younger 20 - 30 year old ladies arrived for dinner and Sunday brunch. Saturday night there was 10 people and we never felt like we were on top of each other.
The neighbor hood is very quiet except for us, so if your looking for more a party feel this may not be the place for you. If you like crowds and night life entertainment stick to the bigger towns.
Only mishap of the weekend was the cable/internet service went down around noon on Sunday and wasn't restored until Monday morning. We did call Vacasa about the problem but the cable was out through all of Rockaway.
We would defiantly rent this house again in fact were already looking into the dates for Beach Trip 2016 and checking into availability for this home.

This place is a gem! Wonderfully decorated and with all required amenities for a great get away!! The beach is beautiful and the view from the house is stunning. Great beds, so comfy! The house is very very comfortable all around. Lovely. We will look for it next time, for sure.
