The Cabin comes very recommended. Close enough to the main strip to be an easy drive but has enough distance to where you don’t hear the hustle and bustle.

Had everything we needed plus more! Kid friendly, adult friendly and close to attractions.

I took my family for a few days vacation this month. The cabin was roomy and clean. My family loved the pool table and video games upstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The bathrooms were nice and lots of room with full showers in each. The road up to the cabin was tricky and steep, but we made it ok. The location was great, private, but not too far out from the grocery store and lots to do close by. We will definitely come back for our next vacation.

The cabin was pretty much as advertised. The pool table and upstairs loft were great, we didn't need that space for sleeping but if you do then you're likely not going to be playing up there and getting sleep so your mileage may vary. The hot tub was cleaned and warm by the time we got there.

The kitchen was clean with lots of utensils, pots and pans so no issue making food at all. As to be expected there is no spices or other cooking related item, except salt and pepper, so bring your own charcoal, butter, coffee, lighter, etc. Not an issue as to be expected but if your new to the home rental this could be an unknown.

Minor issues that really just make it not 5 stars but still recommend - the door to master bedroom was "jacked up" when we arrived. The jam was off the wall, nails were sticking out, looked like it was opened hard will the chain was on. They fixed it next day as we didn't call it in till we noticed it around 6pm. BUT there is no way the cleaning crew could have missed it, it was very evident so that was not great start. Also I'm not convinced the cleaning crew is getting all the surfaces. The kitchen, bed & Bathrooms looked good but there was a shelled peanut on the stack of poker chips, smudges on the table in the loft and some obvious cobwebs in some easy to reach corners. Not dirty but didn't catch everything. So do what we did and bring some lysol wipes and you're fine.

Overall - great place, lives up to the online billing, but missed a couple minor details to be 5 stars.

We enjoyed the cleanliness and how open the cabin was. We really enjoyed the hot tub, pool, video games, and outdoor cabin activities while enjoying nature’s serenity. They were also quick to respond to an issue we had. We would definitely use them again and can’t wait until next year!

We really enjoyed the property during our stay but was very surprised by the STEEP road just before the driveway. The property was a little hard to find at first since there wasn't any sign to direct us where the road went so we ended up driving right by it instead of making the right hand turn up the steep road. There was also a huge pot hole right at the start of the steep hill. We drove a KIA mini van and was barely able to get up it. We had to back up and basically punch the peddle in order to get up it all while trying to miss the pot hole. Other than that the property was nice. Smaller than what the photos make it seem to be. Housecleaning was there when we arrived so we had to stand around for about 20 mins. before we could go in even though it was already after check-in time (4pm). My husband had to assist the housekeeper with pulling her car out when she was finished since the driveway is kinda narrow (just barely big enough for 2 cars side by side). The kids really enjoyed the loft/game area. The property had a great variety of DVDs and board games as well. The kitchen was well equipped, but it was missing tongs so we used a fork to flip the bacon. The beds were very comfortable but the walls are thin so you can hear the people talking in the other bedroom. The bathrooms were clean but the shower in the master bath constantly dropped making a wet mess. There was 10 of us that stayed there and we loved hanging out on the porch. The only problem with that was there's only 4 chairs and the section of porch in front of the front door and the steps have algae growing on it so it was slippery. The hot tub was cold when we arrived but we turned up the temp and it was perfect by that night. It can sit 6 adults. Overall, the property was very clean and accommodating for our family. We enjoyed our stay but probably would have picked a different one if we would have known about the steep road. The property is also conveniently located close to downtown and to Gatlinburg.
Manager response:
Thank you for your thoughtful review, Jennifer. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at 'Grin and Bear It'. We apologize for the issues you had regarding the steep driveway. We will reach out to the local manager to update the listing details so future guests are aware of the steep road. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again!

Nice home , Great location

My family of 5 stayed the week of Christmas. The boys (9, 11 & 17) loved the upstairs loft! It was like there own kid cave with the beds, pool table, arcade machine, furniture and TV. The hot tub was a nice touch to relax during the cooler nights. The only thing I would suggest would be to include some more pans for cooking on the stove. I know it's only a rental cabin but the pans were very minimal, old and hard to work with. Overall, I would book again with Vacasa!
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback following your stay, Nicole. We are happy to hear you and your family had a nice stay over Christmas! We apologize for any trouble you ran into while cooking due to the pots and pans. We have passed your comments along to our local manager who will take an inventory of the kitchen and add any needed items. We look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Loved staying in this cabin with our kids and grands! It lacked nothing! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was due to a small structural problem on the railing of the deck. This was reported to Vacasa and their response was immediate! Will definitely rent with Vacasa again and would love to come back to Grin and Bear It!

The cabin was perfect. There was something for everyone. Board games, books, wifi, pool table, a deck with a hot tub on it with a beautiful view. They even had the cabin decorated for Christmas with a tree.

My family loved this cabin. It was fully equipped with all our needs. It was Clean, spacious and comfy. Had all the amenities as promised In good working conditions. Plenty of property to walk the dogs. This property is very close to all needs and activities. The only reason I didn?t give this a 5 star is due to the steep incline you have to take to get there. Definitely would not attempt it in sleet or snow.
