This was a nice cozy house, about a mile off hwy 101. We enjoyed the remoteness of the house and the peaceful area next to the natural creek.

Delightfully snug and comfy, even as it poured rain outside. Highly recommend!

When we arrived, the cabin was very cold (54 degrees). The heat source is a pellet stove with very poor instructions for use. It took us over an hour to get it to work. This isn’t a great way to start a vacation. The cabin was mostly clean (towels, furniture, floors) but the dishes were dusty and some even dirty. The comforter was stained (covered up with a clean sheet). The WiFi was very spotty, so we had trouble using our phones and couldn’t watch the TV at all. The grill didn’t work, the oven was also broken, and only two out of four stove burners worked. We could have just gone camping and used our portable two-burner propane stove. Why pay extra to stay in a cabin where nothing works? The worst part....the water stopped working on our last day. We had no toilet, shower, or sinks to use. That’s when we finally decided to call Vacasa, but there was nothing they could do to fix the problem in time. We were very disappointed with this property and will definitely not be returning. Save your money and just go camping instead!

This little cabin was at the south end of the Redwoods National and State parks, which stretch about an hour drive time up and down highway 101. As other posters mentioned, elk came to visit us in the yard our first morning, and we saw many more driving every day! Bed was comfortable. A nice place to stay.

This is a nice unit on the inside. Be prepared for poor WIFI and low range cell service due to the geography. The grounds need some attention with high brush along the creek and along the drive coming in. The full kitchen allows for cooking meals which is very helpful during COVID as most restaurants are takeout or closed. There was no deck seating during our visit so bring your own chairs. The remodeling seems to have been done by the owner so the fit and finish is not contractor level but the unit is comfortable and clean.
The location is great for hikers as it it is close to a lot of the prime hiking spots.
All in all it was a good stay. i would just like to see the property tuned up a bit.

Wonderful place! Quiet, very clean and it has everything you need. I highly recommend it!
My husband and I loved staying at the Peaceful Creekside Cabin. It was tucked away on a quiet dirt road. Quiet enough that saw a whole herd of elk on our last day. You're surrounded by beautiful scenery with Big Lagoon within biking distance and many other attractions (inside and outside) just a short drive away. The cabin itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The cabin was amazing, it's a nice, quiet and beautiful place. It has everything you need for comfortable stay including parking spot right next to the house, all needed kitchen amenities and even TV with blu-ray player. This cabin is located just 12 minutes from Thomas Kuchel Visitor Center where you can get all needed information regarding Redwoods National and State Parks. Also it's just 1 mile from the nearest place (but we found few other spots along 101 highway) where you can observe wild elk, we've seen them almost every day during our stay. The nearest relatively large city is Eureka, it's about 40 miles from the cabin and it even has Costco store and gas. The only problem we faced during our stay was the very low speed of Wi-Fi internet connection, it's been always no more than 1-2 Mbs, so I would recommend having mobile data available if you need to use internet there. Everything else was great and we had an outstanding experience, I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or stay again!
This turned out to be a quite nice place out in the middle of the forest. Perfect for a couple that want to get away from it all for a few days. We stayed during the elk mating season and the main purpose for me was to have a place to stay that would allow me to photograph elk during their bugling season. It turned out perfect. Saw many elk and a couple that were monsters. One 7x8 and one 6x8.
This little place was adorable. Perfect spot to stay and be close to all the trails. There were Elk in the field on our street every morning. Coming from Florida and being use to Palm trees everywhere seeing the amazing redwoods was awesome. We will definately be visiting again.
We greatly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was clean, spacious, quiet, and had everything we needed. We even were lucky enough to see two bull elk in the backyard one night. Would definitely stay again.
Everything is exactly as pictured. It was very nice to have a keurig and k cups so we could have coffee every morning. Plenty of space to get comfortable and spread out. Really my only complaint is my first night I had to take care of a massive amount of spider webs inside the home. The place was generally clean but could have used a deep clean to get rid of massive cobwebs in the windows. Also I think some curtains to be able to sleep in might be a nice touch.
A perfect home for two - well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and nice hang out spots for playing cards or watching TV upstairs. The Roku TV was nice, Keurig, gas stove for cooking meals, newer washer and dryer so we could pack light... all great. So close to Fern Canyon and multiple state parks – beach is out the main driveway and across the street into the park!
This is a nice get-away. Very relaxing! Enjoyed the back patio and listening to the brook. Saw a lot of animals close to the area.
Peaceful, natural wonderful experience in the woods. The cabin was furnished with everything to satisfy all senses! a world away from everything and good for the soul. The management company was extremely helpful to find a folder I left in the cabin, and immediately returned it to me via mail service with no charge.
The place was very clean and nice in the forest. We loved the feel of it and is the perfect size for 2 people. The location was great due to its proximity to the parks and also scenic in it's own right. Loved the stay and would definitely the recommend it.
Great location, amenities, and view! We were very comfortable. Close to public beach and tons of Redwood hiking trails.
We stayed a couple of nights so that we could hike the Redwoods. The quiet secluded location was beautiful, we were surrounded by deer on the track to the cabin. The cabin was gorgeous. Clean, tidy, uncluttered. Luxuriously furbished with lots of little extras. A large well provisioned kitchen. A Comfortable Bed. A large screen TV in the bedroom sitting area. Plenty of hot water and efficient heating. Evidently well thought out.
The property was perfect. It was centrally located to all the locations we wanted to see. It was clean and everything my wife and I needed. Explanations about property amenities and nearby hikes made the stay go off smoothly. They even had a Tide book, so it was easy to make plans while enjoying the fire in the upstairs media center. If we make plans to come back this way, we will come again.
Perfect place to stay while enjoying the beauty of the Redwoods. Comfortable, clean, good location and private
Off the beaten path on a dirt road outside much of civilization, this quaint home was perfect for our vacation needs. It was quiet and relaxing with all the amenities that one would need. The grocery store was a ways away but I think that's the trade-off you make when choosing to vacation somewhere peaceful and away from it all. The neighbors seemed friendly, there was an elk visitor most the mornings that we were there, and it is close to all of the Redwood Parks. If I were to make one recommendation to the owner, please consider curtains for more of the upstairs windows. I found myself rising with the sun every morning which isn't my usual. After a long day driving or hiking, it would be nice to sleep in a bit and this house definitely has a lot of natural light. Otherwise, we were completely satisfied with the experience and grateful to the owners.
Very peaceful and quiet. Went for walks at dusk and saw several elk. Very close to the Redwoods and the ocean. It was a nice break from the hectic schedule.
We wanted something out of town, quiet, no neighbors. We saw elk morning and night. 10 minutes from the national redwood park, less than 5 minutes from the ocean. Overall great place. Would go back again.
Peaceful Creekside Cabin provided the perfect relaxation spot after hiking the Redwood National Forest. We especially enjoyed the fluffy cloud-like bed, comfortable deck and regular Elk visitor
My wife and I honeymooned at the cabin for several days and were delighted by the local scenery and the cabin amenities. The cabin is well maintained, with helpful signs and notes spread throughout. During our stay we visited the Prairie Creek National Forest across two days (lots of hiking options).
3 night stay in the Redwoods area by myself for solitude, nature and hiking. The cabin is perfect location for all activities around the parks. It was very quiet, clean and secluded. About a mile off Hwy 101. Perfect size for two, more than enough for me. Kitchen was well stocked, bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning on the back patio with the sound of creek. The owner was very attentive; she stopped by twice - Once to supply additional coffee then to give me couple gigantic crabs her husband caught on his crab boat - it was delicious). I would go back to this cabin and highly recommend for The shower (previous guest complained about hot water) works just fine. Fast Wifi.
My husband and I enjoyed this cosy little house as a base for walking in Prairie Redwoods State Park (about 20 minutes away) and Redwoods National Park. The kitchen is very well outfitted with nice pots and pans (and good knives) + appliances.
