You'll find all you need and more, with extras like a waffle iron, mixer, blender, coffeemaker, and a dishwasher, so you can cook whatever you wish and even save time on clean-up!

Five bedrooms and three full baths make this home suitable for up to 14 travelers. There are three king-size beds, one queen bed, three sets of twin bunk beds (six twin beds total), and one futon. Your dogs are welcome to come along for vacation as well! Just note a small, nightly pet fee.

A private washer/dryer allows for any laundry you need to freshen, and the balcony area is great for catching some rays and breathing in the fresh ocean air. The Sandstone Point complex also has a dedicated parking lot and grassy courtyard area that guests are welcome to use.

This home is perfect for a large family or a few smaller families traveling together - make the short walk through the courtyard to the seven-mile stretch of beach, where you can run around and play, fly kites, or just relax and settle into the mindset of vacation. We recently stayed in “The Whale-upper” for 5 nights. 5 adults and 1 child. The unit was clean and the views outstanding. There were some maintenance/safety issues that need to be addressed. Namely, the windows. The rear bedrooms were missing screens and the windows throughout were difficult to operate. In addition, the kitchen was not appointed well. There were not enough forks, mis-matched glassware, and only one wine glass...I mean, not a huge issue, but if you have beds for 16 people, you need more than 1 wine glass... the utensils were also very cheap, think dollar store ore less. They were all missing handles or were broken. The knives were not sharp, and the plates were almost all chipped. The wall in the dining area needed to be patched as well. The outlets all throughout were also in need of repair, nothing stayed plugged into them, they just fell out of the wall. Further, the exterior of the building was in desperate need of repair. I have lived at the ocean, and understand how difficult it is to maintain paint. The environment is harsh. However this building had loose railings, severely chipped paint, and all of the floors were uneven. It was very much in need of power washing, paint, gutter and fascia repair, and stair railing and tread improvements. There were no chairs on the balcony aside from one mildewed and cracked one. For the cost, I expected a better maintained property. There were however, a plethora of towels, and the view was outstanding.
Manager response:
We appreciate your feedback, Zoie! We are working on getting the home pressure washed as soon as there is good weather to do so. The owner has been advised of your other concerns so they can look at addressing those. Thank you!

This location has the perfect view and easy access to the beach. It is ideal for large groups and accommodated our party perfectly. While we enjoyed the space and the location, there were a few draw backs. Almost every outlet in the unit was loose and either did not hold a cord or appeared too dangerous to use. Day two of our stay we lost power to half the unit including the refrigerator which we fully stocked. Additionally, when we arrived there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher including a dirty dog bowl. Overall the stay was wonderful because we made the best of it but with those minor fixes id easily give this location 5 stars,
Manager response:
Hi, Alexis! We are glad to hear your party enjoyed the location and easy access to the beach. We apologize for the maintenance details that were missed and will work with our team on checking and repairing the outlets. We look forward to hosting you again!

The Condo was by far a great experience, everything was clean and it had everything you would need for your future stay. The Condo does have a little wear a tear, but nothing to be concerned.

Great view! Great space! Small Kitchen

The view out the windows was beautiful. We had plenty of room for our family of 7 to cook and play games on the large dining table.
We would stay here again only if the Master bedroom and master bathroom had changes made as mentioned above.

We enjoyed our stay here. The condo has a great view and balcony. Kitchen area is a bit small , but it is functional. It’s nice to have a washer and dryer. Short walk to the beach is nice, but it is downhill and then uphill climb on the way back. It was clean and was a great stay. The Vacasa staff was friendly and helpful.

stayed here a week with up to 7 people for a few nights- could have easily fit more. Condo is spacious, clean, pretty well provisioned and well situated in Lincoln city for day trips and activities. Steep stairs but close to beach, easy drive to main attractions. Will stay here again!

This condo is perfect for our group of 7 with room to spare! The couch is very comfortable to enjoy the sunsets through the large view windows. Retiring to the memory foam king bed caught some of the best rest in months! Would definitely return, quiet and enjoyable stay.

My extended family of 25 just had a family reunion in this property and the floor below it (Whale Upper and Whale Main). It was really difficult to find a house that accommodated my family, but this one fit the bill nicely. The rooms are various sizes and include different size beds so families can stay in one room really easily. Lincoln City is a great location on the Oregon Coast because of it's central location. It's easy to go up north to Tillamook, south to the sand dunes, and east for the wine! There was plenty to do for all ages, including going to the beach. It is only a few hundred feet away from the house, but it's a fairly steep walk down. Other than that, the house is clean, the kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfy, and the view is absolutely outstanding.

My family of 14 loved this place! We stayed for 9 nights, and had an amazing time. The place was very clean, which was such a refreshing change from some rentals we have stayed in in other cities. We highly recommend more towels hooks in the bathrooms and shelving units in the bathrooms for toiletries. The deck is flooded at all times due to rain, which was a bummer. A squeegee would have helped. We made a friend (seagull) that we have named Clyde. We fed him some breadcrumbs one afternoon and after that, he would come knocking on the window when he saw us eating inside. So many memories were made here! The dogs loved it, too. The only real complaint we had was the people below us on Fri and Sat nights were up and loud until 3 am. Perhaps a sign requesting quiet between 10pm - 8am would help. Thanks for everything, we will be back!

The rental process with Vacasa was easy. The pre-check-in information was just right. The place itself was outstanding: new and updated and it is my understanding that the few items that were missing will be or have already been replaced (e.g., some kitchen items). Additionally, the owners, or their agents, had great communication; that showed, for example, when we requested that a couple of items needed to get addressed, and they were addressed immediately. Very impressed with that.

You should know that the Whale and the Whale Upper are part of a hotel with the Whale and the Upper on one side and the individual rooms on the other opposite the courtyard. It did not matter. The Upper was quiet and had great views. Had a chance to meet the folks in the lower, i.e., the Whale, and that place looked great; and we never heard them (though, fyi, there weren't the full complement of folks down there so don't know how that would affect things/noise if there were more people there). We had six adults and four children in the Upper, and we found the unit perfect for that number. With two more adults, it might be a little tighter. All in all, a great place that we will certainly consider for the future.

Nice, clean space . Plenty of living space for all three families.
Karen P. Apr 2017
We had a lot of lost sleep because of 30 some kids yelling and running below us. As late as midnight. Days were great. I know you don't always have guests like that.
Kerri S. Nov 2016
We came for my daughters 18th birthday. We enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing. Love the sound of the waves. The unit was clean. Disappointed that the fire place didn't work. only had an issue one night with parking. Double lines makes spaces unclear. There was a very large group in the unit below us that was up late and noisy. But overall this place was nice and we would go again.

We were very happy with the property condition and location
