Convenient condo w/ Sun Valley Inn pool & hot tub, walk to Sun Valley Lake!
Location, location, location! This spotless Sun Valley vacation rental is a great pick for a quick mountain getaway any time of year! Within walking distance to Sun Valley Lodge, Sun Valley Lake, and the outdoor Summer Pavilion, you'll have all the comforts of home from this neat, efficient, and comfortable space. From mid-July to mid-August you can even hear the free, nightly, symphony pavilion concerts stream in through the open windows!
The property is just a two-minute walk to Sun Valley Lake, with its stunning backdrop of Mt. Baldy and Dollar Mountain. Rent a paddle boat from Sun Valley Company and explore the lake in summer, or just hang out on the shore and play volleyball or horseshoes. The bike path adjacent to the condo is also a great way to explore the area.
All on one level, and with no steps to climb, this condo is also a perfect fit for anyone who may have issues with stairs. Inside, the space is nicely decorated with bright, floral furniture, ensuring that there's always a cozy spot to relax. A queen-size bed is tucked away in the corner, so there's no need to make up a sofa or Murphy bed each morning (although, the sofa does convert to a king bed if needed).
A full kitchen includes all the usual appliances, including a dishwasher. There's a breakfast bar for quick morning snacks and for spreading out board games or jigsaw puzzles. There's also a small dining room table for enjoying larger meals and an evening glass of wine, with WiFi letting you plan tomorrow's adventures.
The bright, well-lit full bathroom includes a separate sink area and a tub/shower combination. This studio condo will sleep two adults and up to two children comfortably.
Guests staying here also have access to all the Sun Valley Resort amenities, including an Olympic pool open in the summer, a hot tub, numerous tennis courts, horse-riding, and more - and discounts on tennis and golf at the resort.
In the winter, take a scenic, leisurely stroll to Carol's Dollar Mountain Lodge and sit out on the large patio in front of the outdoor firepit, have a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of wine, and watch the skiers. For beginners, Dollar Mountain's Snowsports School is a warm and friendly environment to hone your skills with 10 runs, 628 feet vertical rise, and five lifts. For something a bit different, trade in the skis for a set of snowshoes and meander your way through the miles of picturesque terrain of the Nordic and Snowshoe Center at the Sun Valley Resort.
Year-round shopping and numerous restaurant options can be found a short walk away at the Sun Valley Mall, or in Ketchum, less than two miles away. Start the morning with eggs Benedict and coffee on the terrace at Gretchen's, then wander around town for some shopping. You can spend the afternoon browsing the art on display at the many galleries, then duck in and out of small shops, looking for little treasures to bring home. Dinner can be as simple as grilled pizza and beer at Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill or a fancy evening for two at the Ketchum Grill, voted one of the best ski town restaurants by Snow Country Magazine.
Explore the natural beauty of Idaho's iconic Sun Valley and enjoy this charming, efficient Idaho vacation condo (and all the great resort amenities it offers) right in the middle of all the action!

Pros: Close (walkable) to everything in the Sun Valley resort area, with access to pool, hot tub, tennis courts, etc. as condo amenities. Easy to park. Appliances and utensils are all there and in working order. Newly updated walk-in shower. Good value for money.
Cons: Although apparently it's been replaced recently, we found the mattress too soft and not quite level. Only 2 windows, and only one of them opens, so dark and stuffy, especially in warm weather. No washer/dryer. Decor is dated. No deadbolt or way to secure the door from inside, just a keyed door handle lock.
We've been coming to Sun Valley for several years running so our kids can participate in the summer music institute. This year we tried renting a condo instead of pitching our tent at the lovely Sawtooth National Forest campground up the road. I think we'll be back at the campground next year. Sun Valley rentals (we've seen friends' rentals too) feel less like someone's home or extra unit rented out for some extra cash and more like worn, full-time vacation rentals used hard to maximize income and minimize expense. No personal touches. No human contact. YGWYPF (you get what you pay for) and nothing more.

Great location, very comfy and good storage abilities. No fireplace but very warm. TV is quite small and walk to jacuzzi is quite far and very slippery while snowy , but easy enough to drive to. Better communications about use of and location of jacuzzi would be helpful for future tenants. Overall was a great stay.

Just what we needed.

Uncomfortable and dingy
We are sorry our guest was displeased. This is an older condo with older furnishings, but it is very clean. Thank you!
Cindy H.Aug 2018
Our only complaint is as the comfort of the matttesses

Condo is cute and centrally located. The check in and out process was very easy.
David D.May 2018
While this property had all the basics (toilet paper, kitchen utensils, sheets, etc.), it definitely needs to be updated. The carpet is a bit dingy, and the furniture should be updated. The website photos were a bit deceiving.

Love the location! A bit old place but cozy!
Patrick P.Feb 2018
This studio is in a very accessible area of the Sun Valley village. For a quick stay over and location it is quite good.
The property was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The recreation card providing access to the Lodge and Inn pools and Inn fitness center was a bonus and the value to cost ratio is great.

Worked good for a quick stay in a great area. Sun Valley in the fall is amazing.
CORLISS R.Jul 2017
Comfortable bed, nice shower, great location if you are ok with walking up hill to the village. Needs some upgrading of furniture.

When we arrived to this condo the first thing we noticed was how wonderful the location was. It is located right next to the Sun Valley lodge and backs up to a gorgeous grassy tree filled area that has the river running right through it. Then when we walked into the unit we noticed it was absolutely spotless. We stayed there with two adults and two kids he slept on the pullout couch and everything was wonderful. We have plenty of space and the amenities were very nice. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay at the centrally located condo. It was clean and very comfortable. The mattress could use an update and is not kind to easily pained backs. Otherwise, the condo get two thumbs up!
We're very pleased the guest had an enjoyable stay at the condo. The owner has recently replaced the old mattress with a brand new model. Thank you.

We had a two night stay for the Jazz Festival in Oct. 16. Location was great. instructions on location and what to bring and not bring were very helpful. The condo was clean, attractive and convenient. no problems, except mattress was a little too soft. Thank you! Jeannie and Will

Great location in quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to the rinks or courts.
T.J. G.Oct 2016
The place was really comfortable and really cozy. My wife and I had a great time. The furnishings are a little dated and there was some confusion regarding the use of hot tub's which was a little bit frustrating but we got over it. We would definitely go back.
Eugenia O.Sep 2016
The studio was located in a great spot, walking distance to Sun Valley resort. The pool there was fantastic! The studio was small, I wouldn't recommend 4 people (even kids!) Needs a little update and TLC but otherwise, worked for us!
Mark M.Sep 2016
Bed had been too well used, valley in the middle. Not much support.
Remember life before remote controls? Well this lovely pearl has a TV remote but you must get up out of your seat to make it work. So relaxing.
Salt and pepper shakers...... Empty.
Poor lighting in the studio.
Plenty of cookware, however none had a top. Not... one... top. We had to use a cookie sheet.
Bath towels were soft.
Sun Valley Spa was very nice.
We are sorry to read about these inconveniences and will get them addressed as quickly as possible.
Guy P.Sep 2016
Good, clean, fun
Jennifer M.Jul 2016
Sun Valley is exquisite. This condo affords an amazing location with all the best amenities surrounding you. The beds and pillows are terribly uncomfortable and need to be updated. The price is right if you are young and spry. We'll definitely go back to Sun Valley.
Christina C.Jul 2016
The location was fabulous- babbling brook, green grass, beautiful surroundings!
The unit we stayed was affordable and and adequate.
Alittle noise from the folks above, otherwise very pleasant stay!

Very good location, simple but adequate accommodations. What a great place Sun Valley is"
Mark R.Mar 2016
I much preferred having my own mini apartment with a kitchen to a standard hotel room, and with it being even cheaper than any hotel room, how could anyone not go with a place like this? Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, and the location is excellent, especially the proximity to the Sun Valley Lodge and the included (!) amenities pass that gives access to the spa's thermal pool. That was a great bonus I didn't expect, and was fantastic to soak after a day of skiing. The kitchen was great for cooking dinner each day, and the included wifi was good. Parking was no problem either.
The main downsides... the mattress was somewhat on the saggy side, and I had to sleep near the edge where it was firmer. Also, there were lots of noises coming through the walls, some loud music, and some awful sound most evenings - someone vacuuming? exercise equipment? Couldn't tell, but it was really annoying. The worst... every morning at about 5am, a very loud knocking/pinging came from inside the bathroom/kitchen wall (water heater turning on? Never could find the source) and lasted about 10 minutes - woke me up every night. If I actually lived here full time I wouldn't be happy, but for a week I could deal with it well enough.
Overall, despite the annoyances, I would still recommend it as a great value for the area, and would come back here again.
Also, a nice thanks to the property manager for coming by asap to replace the lightbulb in the bathroom that burned out, so I could see in there (no window).

This condo. is ALL about the location. It is very close to the Sun Valley Village, etc.
We were first timers to the area for Nordic skiing. With a dog, our options were limited.
This complex is fairly old with thin walls and not much sound insulation between the floors. We could hear the upstairs neighbors' movements most of the time. We could hear all of the neighbors closing doors.
The entry is nice and roomy with storage for ski equipment. The walk-in shower is great. The living room furniture is nice and comfortable, but too much for the size of the unit.
The kitchen appliances were in good working order. But, we prepare all of our meals and found the useful kitchen utensils sparse.
Dawn S.Jan 2016
I absolutely loved this condo. The property is well maintained. The unit is well maintained. The neighbors were all very friendly. The bathroom was nicely remodeled and there was plenty of storage for my suitcase and all my "stuff". I didn't feel crowded at all. The wi-fi is super fast and very reliable. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen "stuff" was more than adequate. I'd stay here again. I'm planning to return late February. I was there for 3 weeks during the Xmas holidays and never felt like I had cabin fever. The unit is plenty big for 1.
David W.Aug 2015
Great condo located within short walking distance of the resort. Perfect for a couple or small family. Studio is small, but with all there was to do in Sun Valley, we didn't stay in the room much at all. Why pay Resort lodging prices when you can stay here and use the savings on all of the fun activities. I would stay here again.
Don W.Jul 2015
Every thing about the condo was nice and satisfactory except that it should have had air conditioning when it's in the 90s. Also the lock box was hard to figure out and put back together, so left the lock box and key inside the condo. It could use something better.
Robert M.Mar 2015
I will rent same condo same time first week of March 1070.Plus Don was good employee:):)
David C.Oct 2014
We were able to rent the unit with a minimum of fuss. The location of the unit is great, with easy access to walking paths and the lodge area. The unit is very small, but it is nice to have a working kitchen in the room. There is no Wi-Fi available at the unit, but you can go up to the lodge area or downtown to access the internet. This is a quiet area and very peaceful.
Patricia R.Aug 2014
Location was great, appreciated being able to bring my small dog. Very comfortable studio unit.
Gary H.Jul 2014
I remember reading a bunch of the other reviews complaining about the bed in this property. It is actually fine. Would stay here again
