This cabin has everything you need. Decorated inside and out to fit the mountain setting.
We had three families together on our trip and the house was perfect. All the adults had king beds with the kids having their own space in the lower level. Lots of space on the main floor, nice open kitchen allowing multiple people to work on meals at the same time. Cabin was only a 5 min drive from small corner store and and a couple mins more to Pigeon Forge perfect location. Would definitely book this property again.
Loved this place! So wonderful for 6 USMC retired couples to meet from all over the US and have the rooms it has that we need. So spacious, well kept, cleaned, beautiful location. Within driving distance of restaurants, activities etc. Easy drive to the Smokey Mountains. We LOVE it here. Thanks for letting us share this beautiful cabin.
We had a large group stay for a week. This was a beautiful house with plenty of room and things to do. Mystic Falls cabin is really close to anything you want to do in the Pigeon Forge area.
The cabin was very nice, we had issues with two TVs one we were unable to change the channel, the other went out completely on our 3rd day of 5. Luckily we didn't use them that often. One of the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, but overall all in our party of 13 were pleased. I would recommend staying at this cabin.
We appreciate this review. This property has recently switched to Vacasa employee cleaners that should rectify any cleaning issues. We have inspected the TVs since receiving this review and were unable to find any issues. We recommend guests call us about these things so we can assist them during their stay. Thanks!
Held family reunion at this cabin. It is beautiful and comfortable. Everything was as explained. Had to call for garbage pickup and was very satisfied with maintenance performance. Would suggest this cabin to anyone looking for an upscale experience.
Clean well decorated. Will return soon. Loved it
We had a little family retreat of 16 people in this lovely home. It was nice and clean upon our arrival, and very accommodating throughout our stay. we had 8 adults and 8 children from ages 2-59 and stayed a week. Lots of tourist stuff to do there, from Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg and into Cherokee if thats your thing. We spent a few days doing that. But the real enjoyment is some of the best scenery and breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and its wildlife. Cades Cove a must! Newfound Gap a must. This house is in a great location for all the attractions, we loved the location. The only thing i'd change at this property is adding more trash cans. When you have a large group we filled them up in a couple days. VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS. everyone loved their beds. Thankyou VACASA . We will be back!
Overall we had a blast. The cabin is really beautiful, but definitely not as nice as we would have hoped. You can tell there wasn't a lot of attention to detail, and many things were done as cheap as possible such as the showers and bathrooms. The pool table was in really poor condition and cramped with the air hockey table that also did not work very well. The hot tub was definitely the star of the house, but again it was a smaller cheaper one.
If your not fussy about cleanliness / or are willing to clean the cabin yourself , it was pretty filthy apon our arrival!
I’m not exaggerating either!
We are sorry to see this guest found the home dirty and wish they had called us. We would have sent housekeeping out to rectify the problem as soon as possible. We will follow-up with our team about this review.
We had a group of 16 for a baseball tournament. The cabin had plenty of room and was well stocked. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Loved the main living area -- with a full cabin it's nice to have enough space for everyone to be together in one room. Bedrooms were nice and kitchen was well equipped, though some of the pots had seen better days. Furnishings were comfortable and well arranged. It was a rainy weekend so we spent all of our time indoors, but greatly enjoyed this cabin and it's amenities!
The cabin had everything we needed to cook with. We enjoyed it. We were close to all of the shows and the amusement parks. Very pleased with this cabin.
Beautiful cabin in a convenient location. Was a great place for our early family Christmas.
Our first cabin at this beautiful location.
You would only need to bring food that need to be cook. All of the appliance are in good shape.
Awesome place !
I will see you again in 2018
We enjoyed the whirlpool; did not grill out due to smallness of grill with our large group; Very convenient and accessible to grocery store and Pigeon Forge! Literally within minutes of this cabin. LOVED the pine smell as you walked in and the owner had it decorated with Christmas tree and decor which made it nice and cozy! Beautifully decorated for the woodsy feel!
We have rented through Moose Creek Cabins for many years and the management recently changed to VACASA. We had a few small issues and they were quickly resolved. and found the staff very helpful. We look forward to coming back to the Smokey Mountains soon.
We were a group of 21 coming down to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We really had plenty of room to gather to sit and talk all together due to the large open floor plan! Very close to the grocery store and all the activities of Pigeon Forge! Lots of games for the kids to play. Beautiful fall colors surrounded the cabin!
We arrive at the cabin very clean and beautiful view it was exactly enough room and space for total of 22 guests. Swimming pool was downhill go little walk other than that nice place to stay.
The cabin had plenty of room. The décor was very nice. It had all the kitchen items we needed. The kids enjoyed the lower level layout. They could play games and watch TV without taking over the upper levels.
We had 17 people staying there. It was comfortable and spacious for all of us. House was very clean and kept in good condition. We would definitely recommend this location again to others and we would visit here again.
My family and I really enjoyed this cabin. It's up in the wooded hills, fairly away from any crowds, semi-secluded. It is in a neighborhood of other cabins, so not totally secluded. Beautiful scenery. But, when we needed to re-supply from the grocery store, Krogers was only 8 minutes away.
A mile past Krogers and you hit the Main Street in Pigeon Forge w/all the go-karts and carnie rides. Dollywood was only 15min away.
We also managed to find a nice hiking trail to accommodate our little kids only 30min away (Laurel Falls).
On huge bonus was the downstairs game room. We had great weather so were able to be out and about. But on a rainy day, this room can occupy kids for hours. Air Hockey table, pool table, and arcade game system w/3000+ games. it was tremendous.
Beds n pillows were comfortable.
Cons (and these are strictly first world problems)
- if you want to grill, be prepared to make many trips outside, around the corner of the house. The grills are about the side of a shoe box. and make sure to bring charcoal. Otherwise, the kitchen has pretty much everything you could need for you meals.
- careful w/the kitchen sink. there is no garbage disposal.
- I realize it's rural Tennessee, but w/big groups, it would be smart to have a recycle bin in addition to regular trash.
Positives: Cabin was very nice from a furnishings perspective and very roomy in the main living room area, which is what we were looking for since we were having all day meetings in the living room. Comfortable chairs made for a much nicer Board Retreat. Very close to Pigeon Forge if you need to go there for anything.
1. Bathrooms weren't as clean as they should have been. Bathroom shower/tub floor was still pretty dirty and had long hairs and dirt in it (I am bald, so I know it wasn't mine!).
2. Air Conditioning did not work very well at all. It was a Nest thermostat, which are generally pretty good, but could never get the temperature down low enough. Fortunately the temperature outside was in the 70's, so this wasn't horrible, but had it been hotter outside, it would have likely been unbearable inside. Because the temperature outside was more moderate and because we were only there for two nights, we did not report this.
3. The pool table and air hockey table were pretty worthless. Pool sticks were in very bad shape and there is no pool chalk, which is necessary. Air Hockey table had a cheap puck that flew off the table almost every hit. The air on the table was also very weak.
4. The floors creak very loudly as well and you can hear through the floors (important if you are a light sleeper and have a person who snores loudly in the room above you!)
5. Being on the lower part of the hill/mtn, there were really no views, but that was okay with us since we were having meetings inside all day long and into the night.
Despite the negatives listed above, if they could make sure to have the AC fixed, step up their cleaning and make very minor improvements on the pool table and air hockey, this would be a great location. It has a great layout and a decent amount of parking as well.
The Property Manager has followed-up with housekeeping, and maintenance will take care of the air conditioning, air hockey table, and pool sticks.
This cabin is great. It is well equipped, and in excellent condition. It is a beautiful cabin. The conversion of a king room to a double bunk room was a great change. The trip from the cabin in to Pigeon Forge was an easy one for my wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law to make by themselves. I prefer the mountain views, but it was perfect for them. I highly recommend this cabin to any group not wanting to be way up in the mountains. Great cabin!!! Thank you!!!
Had a great week- weather was awesome- variety of things to do for all ages- ours was 9 to 65 & everyone had fun!
Once we arrived we were happy to see that the pictures online were true. We appreciated the beautiful wood work, stuffed animals, and the comfort of the cabin. My family then stated, book this cabin every time we come. So I can say we therapy enjoyed our stay. Thank You
The cabin was absolutely beautiful! I wish I could've stayed longer! The decorations were amazing! Two of our guests hit their heads on the island when they sat on the couch. Other than that it was a really great experience!
11 of us (of all ages) stayed here and were very pleased. There was plenty for us to do at the home. The hot tub was ready for us at a perfect temperature, and the pool table and air hockey table were a great bonus. We enjoyed all of the space in the home so we could spread out. The beds were very comfortable. We did not run out of hot water in the showers which was great having so many guests under one roof. We enjoyed the restaurants, antique stores, and amusement parks around the area. The mountain roller coaster was awesome, we highly recommend it. We cannot wait to return!
