Dog-friendly, oceanfront home w/ beach access, deck - only minutes from town

Planning a Southern Oregon getaway? Look no further than this dog-friendly Bandon beach house with a cozy fireplace, entertainment amenities for the whole family, and - perhaps best of all - quick access to the beach and miles of rugged coastline. It's the perfect escape for your group of up to nine guests and two dogs!

This is rental is for the entirety of Spindrift Oceanfront Home, which includes the two-bedroom main house section, The Helm, and the separate one-bedroom section, The Starboard. If you have a smaller group, you can rent either of the home's two sections separately.

Tucked into a quiet residential street on the south side of town, this home is within walking distance to all the fun activities the coast affords, including clamming, crabbing, fishing, hiking, and more. But if you want to explore in town, take Highway 101 north for just two miles to arrive in Bandon's quaint Old Town.

Let the soothing sounds of the coast be your guide as you step into this modern beach home. Kick off your shoes and settle in for some mid-afternoon entertainment in the living area, which features cable- and DVD-equipped television, a wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable seating for your whole group.

If you'd like to get a better view of the natural surroundings, walk just beyond the living area to the sprawling outdoor deck. Here, you can peer out over the majestic coastline and watch for an occasional gray whale, tufted puffins, and other seabirds in the surf.

Come back inside to warm up a cozy fire, or head into the kitchen to whip up a homemade meal. With its modern appliances, ample countertops, and variety of cookware, the kitchen has everything you'll need for fresh-cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But it also has important extras like a coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and microwave.

Sit down to eat with your group at the nearby six-seat dining table or take your meal onto the outdoor deck for al fresco experience. You'll even find a charcoal grill outside, so fire it up if the weather calls for a barbecue!

When your activity-filled day comes to an end, retire for a great night's sleep in any of the three bedrooms or in the living areas. All three bedrooms have queen-size beds which, with the addition of two sofabeds in the living areas, will accommodate up to nine guests. You're welcome to bring one or two dogs, though please note a nightly pet fee applies.

Read by lamplight in bed, journal about your day at the small desk by one of the rooms, or flip on the television in one of the rooms to catch a favorite nighttime show. There's even a microwave and mini-fridge in the master bedroom in case you feel like having a late-night snack.

In the morning, wake to a fresh cup of coffee in the kitchen, connect to the WiFi, and start planning your day. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the area's options, including hiking at Bullards Beach State Park (about six miles north), deep sea fishing with a local charter, and paddling down the Coquille River on a rented watercraft. If you're a golfer, a tee time at one of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort's five highly regarded courses is a must, and if you like sightseeing road trips, head north or south on Highway 101 to visit other coastal communities, each with their own quaint charm.

We loved staying in this beautiful home in Bandon. The views are incomparable, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need. We drank our coffee every morning in big comfy chairs looking at the ocean, and wine on the deck every night watching the sunset! We loved walking on the beach and in the neighborhoods and had an incredible, relaxing, fantastic time in Bandon. This house is truly a gem!

Great views and beach access. Property is starting to show wear, stained carpets, broken screen door, broken window opening mechanism. Needs some repairs.
Manager response:
We are glad to see you enjoyed the great views here. The screen doors do tend to get a bit sticky from the salty air. The broken window mechanism has been fixed, and we will check for any carpet or rug stains. Thank you!

View of ocean is spectacular, along with the beach access. It is a great place, although if you intend to cook much, the kitchen equipment is a bit sub-standard. Pots and pans with flaking Teflon coatings should be replaced. The cast iron pan had some funk on it that mitigated against its use.
All in all, if you bring your own pots and pans, a great place.
Manager response:
We will make the local staff aware of the status of the pots and pans. Thank you, we hope to host you again soon!

This place is heaven.
9 family members from across the country gathered together at this beautiful home. Pros: the ocean views are amazing, we saw whale spouts from the front window as they did their spring migration north, comfy beds, the den has a partition that pulls down to make it a 4th bedroom at night, lots of towels, plenty of extra bedding, bedrooms are separated so there is privacy and quiet time for naps, lots of fire wood for evening fires (FYI: fan for fireplace is on the left of fireplace), dog friendly home, plenty of dishes and pans for us to cook all of our meals, easy beach access via stairs or go our front and walk downhill. This house us a 10!! Very few cons: it would be fun to have some bikes available to ride and some beach chairs and toys for the kids to play with in the sand. The front door screen was torn. In summary, I’ve rented about 10 vacation homes over the last 5 years and this is by far the best one. I hope my family can rent this home and have another small reunion in the future. The memories we made were priceless. Thank you to Vacasa and the home owners for a perfect beach vacation. I hope we will be back. This place is heaven.

This home has a wonderful view of the ocean. It also has really nice beach access (even if you can't do stairs, you can walk down the driveway next to the unit). The kitchen is not beautiful but it is acceptable and you have all you need to cook with. The grill works. The bedrooms are acceptable. The beds are comfortable. Cleanliness was an issue, but they did come back to clean after we arrived. House is situated to have sweeping views of the beach and sunsets. Driveway is very spacious and the house is quite private. We enjoyed our stay overall!!
