Curl up by the first fireplace beneath beamed ceilings, recline with a favorite movie, and never lose sight of the view through floor-to-ceiling windows. Move into the chef's kitchen to find every culinary wish: top-of-the-line appliances (including double ovens, beverage refrigerators, and a built-in wok in the cooktop), granite countertops, an immense island, and a walk-in pantry. Gualala Point Regional Park offers stunning beach access, kayaking on the Gualala River, and miles of coastal bluff trails.

After a day spent beachcombing, working on puzzles, or taking a scenic drive to Point Arena or Mendocino, find an unforgettable sunset viewpoint outside on the deck. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

Whale watching season runs from December through April -- grab the binoculars and watch for gray whale spouts from your window. Spring wildflowers (April-June) blanket the coastal headlands and the banks of the Gualala River with vibrant color. Summer on the Mendonoma Coast (June-September) means warm days and the occasional morning fog that burns off by lunch.

Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
