We had a couple day stay in The Dome House. It was absolutely lovely. The beds were comfortable, the cottage was clean, and the peace and quiet was greatly appreciated (it's at the end of a road)! A great place to stay if you plan to be outside and on the go and want a comfortable place the chill out after a long day in the great outdoors!

Loved the location, the funkyness of the house and amenities that you don't expect

The Dome House was a perfect hideaway. Clean, spacious and a lovely setting.

It was so peaceful and quite. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, and awesome!!!! The view out the windows and on the patio was breath taking. The town of Boothbay where the Dome House is located was a friendly little town. I wanted to travel around the town more but the Dome House was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. The next time I am in Maine I will definitely stay here at the Dome House.

We enjoyed our time at the Dome House. The house was well equipped, great location for trip into Boothbay Harbor and access to the nature preserve trails. The WiFi was good, the deck was lovely for enjoying coffee and a glass of wine. We would definitely stay again.

Such a quiet place, but not isolated. Super clean. Loved the kitchen. Easy to find. Most relaxing stay I've had in awhile

Cute house in the forest. Well equipped kitchen, though the appliances are older. As some have mentioned the couches are not comfy, there is a musty/mildew odor in the closets. Bathroom very nice. House appeared clean and ready for our stay.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Peter. The homeowner has installed mini-split units that act as a humidifier to help with the musty smell. New furniture will be coning soon. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope to host you again!

Loved that it was pet friendly. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, and even plastic wrap and baggies. Cute house, but beds rather hard and couch uncomfortable.

This unique house was in a beautiful, private location. It was a couple minutes drive from the Botanical Gardens and a little over 10 minute drive to downtown Boothbay. The only reason I did not give this location 5 stars was there appeared to be an electrical issue with the kitchen lighting- not a big deal we just used a lamp from a bedroom and the couches were incredibly uncomfortable. We did not spend much time inside except for the evening to maybe watch a movie but found the furniture too uncomfortable to sit on. It would have been nice to have a fan or ceiling fan in the house as well- if we were to visit again we would definitely have brought one to circulate air.
We saw lots of wild life and even had a den of fox approximately 20 feet from my vehicle which were fun to watch but had to be very careful with our dog.
Highly recommend replacing the couches and adding a fan or 2! Other then that is a was a very pleasant stay and would consider staying there again.

Had a great stay here at the Dome House. Beautiful spot. Lots of amazing experiences were made here. Deep in nature yet still a short drive to town. Will definitely book again in the future!
